Since the Pathfinder RPG NPC Codex is so packed with images of worthy allies and deadly foes, we’re starting the previews for it a bit early. This time, check out a crew of mid-level marauders, which you’ll find both in this expansive character catalog and in the Pathfinder RPG NPC Codex Box (the humanoid-heavy sibling of the Bestiary Box). Be sure to watch this space in the coming weeks for even more NPC Codex action!

Wow, the art in this book is gonna be sweet!

Now THAT is a Shadowdancer!

Lucanis looks like he's 12.

I think this just convinced me to buy this book. And possibly the box too.

Nice to see some of Jason's work again! To be fair, all of the art is looking excellent. ;)

This is awesome!

I'm excited about this book and I had nothing to do with it!

Congrats to Wes and the Gang!

This is the kind of book that makes me want to GM more.

funny you should say that. When I saw that picture I immediately thought of Terry Pratchett's book Eric, featuring a 12-year old demonologist

I thought Halfling.

Hey, for all we know, this Lucanis character could be a direct shout-out to that character.

I'm really loving the Shadow Dancer character, though, and I really do hope that half-orcs get more spotlight time... and definitely look as good as the Shadow Dancer guy. Okay, sure, you can't see the upper-half of his face, but at least the lower-half makes him look pretty damned handsome.

Aaaaawesome! I can hardly wait!

Me too. I hope all race/class/gender combinations get some representation. I'm a little worried that the half-orcs and gnomes won't get enough attention...

They've said every class/race/gender combo will be covered in the pawns at least

Wow....Paizo art direction NEVER lets me down.

Jason's back! (Engle, that is)

Super excited to see Paizo bring back some of my favorite artists.

That shadowdancer is freakin' boss.

I really thought Lucanis was meant to be a summoner for a moment before I remembered these guys are going to be Core only. Nice to see more of that Chelish fashion outside of Hellknight attire getting some play. :)

This blog reminds me of a song.

Sczarni

No love for Miroslav Petrov's thief? That's a cool bandana.

I think the pawns product line is one of the best ideas you guys have come up with. While I see the NPC Codex as an awesome resource for GMs, I also look forward to being able to offer players a chance to select a good image for their own characters, if they wish.
