I would be amazed that Radovan has gained 15 levels of Monk that quickly, but then, this IS fiction and so does not need to conform strictly to the rules of the game. Also, it sounds like there is quite a bit more than just Radovan rattling around in that body.
This reminds me that I need to start my Radovan/Jeggare series reading in anticipation of the new book (that just shipped out), starting with Hell's Pawns moving on to The Lost Pathfinder, then Prince of Wolves and finally, Master of Devils. By the end I'll either be sick of Dave Gross or wishing for more.

There are a couple of important plot twists that explain what the heck is going on there. It's not exactly what it might appear, as you suspect.
Here's hoping for "wishing for more"!

I'm looking forward to navigating those plot twists.
9 Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”
“My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” Mark 5:9
Just finished Hell's Pawns. What a heart wrencher! At this time I am glad that there is more and looking forward to it! Also, I just noticed that I use exclamation points far too much...
[self mockery]Just for fun!!! Here is a gratuitous use of exclamation points!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/self mockery]
