Well Howard what can I say except,
a FANTASTIC finish to a fantastic prequel. I hope to read MUCH more from you (whether Pathfinder Tales or otherwise).
Yes indeed, I think I have discovered a NEW author to enjoy!

Wow -- thanks for the high praise, Dean. I'm really glad you enjoyed both this and Plague of Shadows. I hope, then, that you'll check out my other fantasy novel, The Desert of Souls, and let me know what you think!
best,
Howard

This story was my introduction to the Pathfinder Tales and got me hooked reading all the Web Fiction (Free is my friend!).
I recently subcribed to the Tales Subscription so that I could pick up this book and all the following.
Started PofS last night and I'm really enjoying it so far! Any chance this prequel will go on sale as a digital short story (hint hint)?
When I finish PofS, I'll post a review there...
EDIT: Any chance of a sequel in the future?

I'd very much enjoy a sequel to Plague of Shadows. :)
PS: Howard, I picked up Desert of Souls, and I REALLY enjoyed it. It was very well done. I did a review for it on Borders.com (I'm Chip the Reader) there... and I would have linked it, but my link fu is weak. (Just ask Alex Kilcoyne how bad I am at linking stuff). :P
Seriously though... Desert of Souls was one FANTASTIC read. I highly recommend it to fans of Arabian Nights, or any Howard Andrew Jones fans. It does not disappoint.

I'm sorry I hadn't seen this far sooner. I'm delighted you enjoyed both books, and thank you for letting me know.
Sequels to both series ARE in the works, and one (an e-book collection of short stories about Dabir and Asim -- The Waters of Eternity) is available. I hope to draft up a few more Elyana and Drelm stories this year as well.
