Will this be available in a GM's version (all the info), and players' version (well-known landmarks, but without any scenario spoilers)?
I can understand not wanting to make two printing runs, but at least if there's a PDF, we can do this ourselves.
In the event there is a PDF, please could the text be split into at least two layers; one of commonly-known information, and the other of scenario-specific locations?
That way, a GM can extract the area he wants, and edit away one or more of the text layers, leaving the PCs' intended destination in full view, while removing all trace that The Underground Temple of Horrendous Doom lies directly in their path.

Or at least make available a high resolution PDF or JPEG of the map so I can go to my local print shop to have them print out a giant color map for my gaming room. That'd be expensive. Several hundred dollars, it turns out. Fortunately, as Gorbacz points out above, we'll be printing a much less expensive version of the final map later this year.
Several hundred dollars, for a CD-ROM. Wow, must be gold plated.
Actually, that's what we're asking for, the file. Yea, I know. We probably won't be able to purchase it, but we'll never be able to purchase it if we don't ask.

It's obviously cheaper if the file's distributed electronically. It gets expensive if you want to print it out on a single giant piece of paper... THAT'S the part I was talking about.

We only have plans to print a version with all the tags on it.

But with the file, GMs could print one page/screen on color laser printers at home, allowing them to better sow an area of the world for the openings of campaign/adventures

That's true... but again, I was specifically speaking to the idea of taking the giant file to a print shop to print a single huge map like the one in the blog picture.

I'd only need the file, the full color plotter at my work could take care of the rest. So How much? Not that I need it, but I was thinking that it would be a fun gift to give to the guy whose game room my group uses each week.

Same here - A0 printer that could do with a more interesting test page to run through it :)

Wonder how much it would be for Staples or Kinkos to print out that beast?

Kind of off topic. Wandered into Ravenstone Games, and they had one copy of the big rolled map of Ptolus left on the shelf. Not that big a fan of Ptolus but I thought I'd love to see the Paizo Poster Map like that.
How much is that map going for? I would be interesed in buying it. Maybe.

I can check tomorrow, but their contact info is here My memory says 39.99, but my memory sucks.
Edit: I know its cheeper than the book itself, but I'm just not that much of a completest.

If that is the price, then I might just be interested in it.

Having recently finished the last run of updates for my Atlas that's no longer available to the public, it'll be interesting to see how this update compares to all the maps that have been put out. Today I discovered there were a few places in the map from Heart of the Jungle not on previous versions of that area... not to mention the fonts and symbols have all been changed, again. :)

Urza, in your mapping, have you found any locations that have been incorrectly mapped or were mentioned but never mapped? I'm working to create a comprehensive document and I know you're a big map guy. Any help?

Yeah there's a bunch of them. You might remember me documenting them in the Atlas as I found them. :)
Ustalav map (campaign setting) vs. Pathfinder 11 map. Look at the area around Vigil.
The Pathfinder 4 map of Varisia has still missing and/or renamed that was on the Pathfinder 1 map.
Osirion map from the Gazetter had Eto in a different spot then the Entombed with the Pharaohs module map.
Of course the Iobaria map from Pathfinder 33 goes right off the Inner Seas map.. so that was pretty cool.
The campaign setting map moved Falcon's Hollow into the Woods, which Pazio said was incorrect. See the D1(?) map was correct for it.
I'm not sure if we ever got the location of Dragonfall, just that Augustana had a teleport to it.
Maybe on day we'll get an official interactive atlas. Until then, well, I'm glad I learned HTML so many years ago. :)

That. Is. Awesome. Now, the questions become:
1) where did you go to have that printed out?
2) how much did it cost you?
3) what material did you have it printed on?
4) what are the final dimensions?

Just a local print shop next door to my FLGS. Had them previously print out some vinyl mats containing various ships layouts. So I took them my downloaded Inner Sea Region pdf, which they enlarged and printed on a piece of vinyl. The cost was a little shy of $100, but taxes brought it over. The map is sized about 6 foot tall and 4 foot wide and about a louse thick.

I chuckled a bit my self when I hovered over the poster's name and appeared an alias of you. On another note, you have been neglecting the mite community!
I was going over Paizo blogs from before I joined the site to save some pictures, advice columns, and other goodies in case I don't have internets. And April is thread necromancy month...
