Sword Lady is actually a picture of my PC Shensen from the NPC guide. She's also the highest level character in the PC section... might even be the highest level character in the book. So if anyone's bad-ass enough to be just hanging in the air, it's her!
(She's a dervish dancer type character with lots of ranks in Perform (dance) for the graceful murdering frenzy, and the illustration is her in the middle of a blood-fueled pirouette before she lashes out at a scary gorilla. Also, she carries a bunch of potions of fly so that's always a possibility too...)

I actually suggested some art posts as a way of making some stress-free blogs and Wes thanked me for the suggestion in the chat room. He's just feigning ingratitude now to save face.
Oh, and thanks, Wes!
[edit:] Also...Shensen needs to watch how she holds that sword. She's gonna cut her hand.

Also, she's a lot better at swordfighting than me, so I suspect she DOES know what she's doing. And she can cast healing magic anyway.
So, knowing your predilections, I'm guessing she's a bard of some kind.

Any hints as to the other staff characters?
Even what people are contributing characters, and will it be explicit who owns who?
The chapter lists who owns which character. And all of the other characters in the chapter are from the Shadows Under Sandpoint campaign I'm running, so if you head on over to that campaign's journal to get said hints! :)

Yup.
Half-elf fighter 4/bard 8, in fact. And ready for duelist levels.

Well I have been following it along, and have to say I'm very excited to see thier characters statted up!
It is you and the staff players then who will have NPCs?

Curse you Vic Wertz, and your single answer to a multiple choice question! You are the definition of something...that.....does what you, ummm, just did.....

Yup. Three of the group joined the game too late to get full stats into the book but the others are all in there. As for my character, she's actually my longest-lived/favorite character I've played and since I've not yet been able to play in a Pathfinder game as a player (apart from a relatively rushed playtest), I got to grandfather in from Jason Nelson's Forgotten Realms campaign (although not at 20th level, which is where she ended up... no room for that many awesomeness, alas).
And then! Tomorrow, Erik Mona's running a playtest game and I'll be able to play Shensen in a Golarion Pathfinder adventure, so by the time the NPC book is out, she WILL be a legit character for Golarion. So it all works out.

Blah, blah, blah. Never happened.
So, I post twice as often as you, and you get the rep as a more than regular poster, b/c you're over there in the chat room. I knew I'd rue my neglect of the chat room.
Well as you can see, folks who expose themselves to after hours staff punchiness and uncensoredness open themselves up to at least 870% more blog-based harassment. The statistics are hard to argue with.

Yeeeeeeeah. No prob!

LOL.
If she ever breaks out the train set from dalaran you MUST buy the toy robot to smash it. :)

I've been schooled. I'll have to make more chat time in the future.

HA! How would you know, Mr. "I only play Warcraft during Beta so I don't have to endure interacting with Shensen's train obsession?" Oh wait. I think I figured it out.

Aha. is that who Rowyn Kellani's pet is named after? My pc's really liked that name.

REPORT: Shensen surivied an Erik Mona adventure playtest (despite a close call with a golem). Woo hoo!
And yup. Rowyn Kellani's pet is named after my Warcraft character's pet raptor.
Actually, Rowyn herself is named after my second-longest-lived character (a cleric named Rowyn in Julia Martin's quite-excellent Middle Kingdoms-themed campaign back in the day).
Anyway, yeah. Transvirtuals rock.

I guess there's a lot of easter eggs in the savage tide AP. One I'm wondering about in particular is the mistress of Witchwarden Tower in Sasserine.

No real easter egg to mention about the mistress of Witchwarden Tower, actually. Although I did name her AND our iconic sorceress (Seoni was the name of one of my friends back in elementary school, so I guess THAT'S an easter egg, but not really since I've used my friends' name several times in various adventures if they're cool and exotic enough.)

Shensen is also in the Shackled City AP. ;)
Yup! Although her stats there are a little different since they don't include Forgotten Realms choices and since that version was based on an early build idea of the character I created before I realized that the duelist bard was the way to go.

Lilith wrote:Shensen is also in the Shackled City AP. ;)Wasn't she officially a half-drow, or something like that though?
The version of Shensen from Jason Nelson's campaign that started it all was actually a full-blooded drow. At some point during his campaign, she died and got reincarnated as a half-aquatic elf. This happened AFTER I put her into Shackled City, but since it was as a half-aquatic elf that I've played the character the most, that's the incarnation that's making the transition into Cheliax and the NPC Guide. Although I am keeping the element of her being born a drow and being reincarnated into a half aquatic elf... although in the now-official Golarion version this event happened when she was a baby.
The full character history will, of course, appear in the NPC Guide.

Indeed. Wasn't it the editorial before that, which he first mentioned his WoW hunter. Hmm.. I think I'll go back and read them. :)

We did a screenshot at one point of all the Paizo Warcraft characters in Dungeon #143, actually. Still one of my favorite editorial illos. Ha.
