More Magical Texts, and Great Art

Monday, September 19, 2016

With Pathfinder Player Companion: Divine Anthology, we step into the second volume of our series on magical texts. This time around, there's an even wider range of player options to choose from—sure, there are plenty of spells for your spellcasters to explore, but there's also new archetypes, additional traits, all sorts of new feats, a new category of subdomian, divine fighting styles, and much, much more!

But don't just take my word for it. Check out some of the great art in the book that goes along with all this new content!

Cool art, as always.

Is an Occult Anthology in the works?

Actually, it's going to be called Psychic Anthology. :)

I am wondering if they will eventually do a martial anthology. Get the Golarion Equivalent of the Book of Five Rings, or the Art of War. Fencing manuals and so forth.

Scarab Sages

Great art indeed!

Yea - those bottom two art pieces are very nice - kudos to the artist and the art director for choosing those. A departure from the usual Paizo (at least as far as my limited knowledge runs) but a welcome departure indeed...

Not exactly what you want, but note that the bottom right artwork is labeled Urgathoan Fighter . . . .

That isn't necessarily a confirmation of anything. That piece of artwork appears in Divine Anthology on page 31 as an illustration for the divine fighting technique Urgathoa's Hunger.

Note that we already had some Golarion-specific flavor in books like Weapon Master's Handbook and Armor Master's Handbook. While it's possible we'll see more along those lines, I don't believe anything has been announced.

Updated artwork to have a white background and added artist names :)

Hmm... Veli Nyström, Sweden-Finlander or Finnish? *googles* Online gallery says Tampere, so probably the latter.

Actually, I liked the old background better. Good to have the artist names, though.
