[PFS1] Redelia's The Devil We Know Arc

Game Master Redelia

I am recruiting a group to work through the entire The Devil We Know arc, which includes scenarios #29, 30, 40, and 48. The scenario is for levels 1-7, although the rules do not allow the full range at one table.

I will be selecting a party from those who apply. I'll be giving a preference to new players, as well as those who have run games for me recently.

I will leave recruitment open for 48 hours, or until I have 12 applicants, whichever comes first.

We will be starting soon after one of my current games ends, so within the next week.

Please look over my GM profile to make sure you're OK with everything there before you sign up.

If you have characters who you might like to play at various levels, please do tell me about them to enable me to put together a reasonable party.

Silver Crusade

The only one I've played in Standard mode is the first one but I have played the series in Core. I've also recently received a boon for an aquatic elf which I'd like to try out. I'm not sure what class yet though.

Liberty's Edge

I have Benson, who is 5th level (Fighter 3 / Rogue (Pirate) 1 / Swordlord 1), a cleric 2 / Druid 1, and a variety of 1st levels. I'm retired with lots of time to post. I'd like a few more chances to play some of my PF1 characters. I have not played any of the scenarios.

Silver Crusade

I haven't played any of those scenarios. I currently have available:

L3 Cleric
L3 Unchained Rogue
L2 Barbarian 1/Cleric 1
L1 Something - I have a couple race boons I might use to rebuild it.

and maybe a L2 Arcanist but I haven't played it in so long I really can't remember how he works.

Grand Lodge

i've played the arc in core with phaeton...i have various toons of varying levels and abilities...so can bring in whatever is needed...

might bring in a cleric of Sarenrae just to tick Sd off...

Haven't play or run any part of this series. I have......
For 1-2 tier:
Lv2 Human Vigilante(Stalker) //archer
Lv2 Human Bard(Duettist/Sound Striker) //archer
Lv2 Human Shaman(Battle) //archer
Lv2 Skinwalker Monk(Sohei) //reach melee
Lv2 Half-Elf Unchained Summoner //summon+support

For 3-4 tier:
Lv3 Merfolk Oracle(Ocean's Echo) //bard-like singing support

Silver Crusade

I am new to those series. Having characters available:

Lvl 1 Samsaran Halcyon Druid //Spellcaster
Lvl 2 Human Ranger (Infiltrator+Witchguard) //Melee
Lvl 2 Human Cleric //Support
Lvl 3 Nagaji Bloodrager1 (ID+Urban)/Scaled Fist2//Melee
Lvl 3 Kitsune Mesmerist //Spellcaster+support

I have not played any of these scenarios and I am interested in playing a bit more on Paizo forums to get more familiar with them before trying to GM here some scenarios myself. I am an experienced GM on table and on another play-by-post platform, but not on these forums.

Character that I have:
* Half-elf fighter 3/paladin (Abadar) 3.
* Human sorcerer 5.
* Human cleric (Sarenrae) 5.
* Anything level 2 (I have GM credit for which I have not created a character yet).

If we play at level 1, I am happy to create anything to balance the group, since I like to try all classes.

Dark Archive

I have not played any of the scenarios. I am not a new player and it's been some time since I've run a 1e scenario (but I could change that?)

Everything on your GM profile makes sense to me.

I expect players to do their best to engage with the world I present

There is this but also players engaging with each other deliberately. Sometimes this gets lost when "always be pushing forward."

Some characters at various levels (but I'm flexible and have more options):

Characters in the upper levels I like:
- Ferdrin Ternyth, human arcanist 6
- Wilen Proudbrew, halfling alchemist 6
- Nilah Sevrom, div-spawn eldritch scion 5
- Avi Solrem, ganzi mongrel mage 5 (whose personality changes slightly with his bloodlines)

The not-quite fresh young fellows of the occult squad:
- Stavarg Titanshade, dwarf aerokineticist 2
- Darzus, elf dream psychic 2 (if there is high need for diplomacy/npc relations this character gets interesting)

At level one I have many more choices. Interesting ones I'd like to try:
- Ekish, undine empyreal sorcerer 1
- Argil Dust, half-orc sha'ir 1

Let me guess: Fire Domain?

I've played part 3 but not parts 1, 2, or 4.

I'm currently playing Tsrvk in your game of Unleashing the Untouchable and very happy with your GM expectations.

Characters in tier:

Gronkh Maha: Level 4 Cavalier/Fighter/Monk, a lance warrior who rides around on an Axebeak.

Fizzlebottom: Level 5 Mesmerist/Ninja.

Xivio: Level 4 Wizard (with one level Rogue dip)

Phidöe: Level 6 hodgepodge (Rogue/Paladin/Swashbuckler/Monk). He's a kitsune who spends all his time in fox form, disguised as a dog.

Drukpa Marpo: Level 4 Bloodrager. Not the brightest.

Vinnie Bandar: Level 5 Shaman (with one level Monk dip)

Ivan D'Ifrit: Level 3 Paladin/Gunslinger

Dark Archive

I'm interested in this series and haven't played any of them.
I only have one suitable character, Auray, Level 2 Alchemist.

Silver Crusade

I've got the boon to start a merfolk but only have one of the appropriate racial boons to go with it, although I'm starting to think it's better to use it for aquatic elf instead.

How do merfolk get by with the 5ft movement speed on land?

Very slowly. ;)

Strong Tail alternative racial trait give you 15ft land speed

A mount will help in early level, maybe with Undersized Mount.

Higher level, Necklace of Air Adaptation will give you 30ft base speed, for 10k gp

Eventually, flying negate the need of land speed.

Grand Lodge

i'm gonna bow out so that the ones who haven't played this before a chance to...

Silver Crusade

Maybe I'd just go Aquatic elf and use Alter Self to get merfolk tail speed in the water.

Recruitment is closed. I'll let everyone know within the next 24 hours what the party will be.

OK, players for this game will be:

phaeton_nz
Colin Mercer
Evan_Fang
sergiogq
Abraham Z
Auray

I'm about to create the discussion thread so we can pick characters. Details will be found there. If you're part of this game, please come join the discussion there.

If I did not pick you, I'm sorry I did not have room for everyone. Next time I recruit a game, please remind me that you were not selected this time, and I'll try hard to include you.
