No problem. There was no rush. Thanks for confirming this. I will fill my own chronicle for that choosing the second option (that of gaining some temporary hit points). That means that my chronicle number for Race for the Runecarved will be #5, not #4.


GM Zin, I was reading about the Welcome to the Pathfinder Society boon, which did not exist when I created my character, many years ago. Can I add it to my character, which is numbered -1, or would you rather prefer that I leave this until after this scenario?

GMZin, just a quick note: my initial fame and prestige points have been updated to 5/5. There was an error in a chronicle and the coordinator of Organized Play, Alex Speidel, emailed me earlier today to notify that this had been fixed.


Ok. Thanks for the hint. I had already written my introductory post. Maybe the system will update overnight. I will wait and see tomorrow.


By the way, I do not know if I need to do something to be shown properly on the tab of Characters. Right now, it only shows my alias not the one of my character. And only under Previous Characters.

Hello! Thanks for having me here, GM Zin.

This will be my first PbP game on Paizo. So, I will probably need to first a few things regarding information that is required, where and formatting. I have more thn 15 years of playing by post and gamemastering on another platform for D&D and Pathfinder, though. So, it is merely that I am not familiar with this platform. But have patience with me on the first days, please!

By the way, I will be playing a half-elf Fighter level 2.

Thank you all for your comments. I was precisely thinking along the lines of the two preceding comments. But it is true that one additional sentence in concentration check rules would have helped.

Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere else. I was not able to find it. I have the following question: If you receive ability damage when casting a spell, do you have to do a concentration check? The rule says: "If you take damage while trying to cast a spell, you must make a concentration check with a DC equal to 10 + the damage taken + the level of the spell you're casting."

Many people by default read it as "hit point damage" but I can only see "damage", which is why I would think that a concentration check is required. But it would be great if somebody could point me to an official (or reliable) answer to this.

The situation that comes to my mind is, for example, being injured by the incorporeal touch of a shadow, that is Strength damage, while you are casting a spell.

Dear Customer Service,

On 3 July I emailed you about my order 21920547. It had shipped split into 3 packages between April 29 and May 1, but only one of the three packages arrived.

I patiently followed in this forum the updates on the processing of requests until my query was replied by email on September 4 with a question to me. I answered very quickly to that question, not even one hour after that email. Unfortunataly, one week after my reply, nothing has happened and Paizo Customer Service have not contacted me back. So, I am very worried that I will either will have to wait a few weeks until someone from Paizo Customer Service deals with this message on the forum, or two more months until my email reaches again the top of the queue. Obviously, I am not very happy with either given that it has been more than 4 months since the order shipped. I can understand and I have followed all the issues with the Customer Service limitations, but I cannot understand that, when finally my email is replied, the problem is not dealt until the end quickly by following up on the information that I was requested.

Please, when you read this message, contact me about the problem by email. I do not check this forum too often. Thanks.

Sorry for not replying in a couple of weeks. I did not receive a notification of this thread having been answered, and I got caught on the routine of work and children, never remembering to check until now.

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. Now it makes sense that the code did not work. I meant only for the PACG deck when I wrote this, since I know that codes do not work with subscription items (I simply chose the option "send with my next subscription shipment"). Since the deck was listed with a reduced price, but not saying what was the promotion, I could not have guessed this until you told me.

I add the discount code paizocon2020, but nothing happens on the shopping cart. My understanding is that it applies with other discounts. Could you please have a look at my account/shopping cart (currently empty after several attempts)? I remember that in the past sometimes there have been problems with discount codes to go through. For clarification, I was trying to add normal currently available Paizo products.

Thanks for your post. Your feedback is appreciated.

I am aware that Paizo only works Monday to Friday, Pacific Coast time. Indeed, I have waited until the end of this week precisely for that reason, so that maybe they would answer my email(s) of previous days.

I am also aware of some problems on the last weeks with customer service because I read these forums from time to time. Still, I do not think it is acceptable to be without answer for weeks, as this is the second time it happens to me. I am not someone that complains without good reason, on the contrary, I hardly ever do it (and it is the first time in many years as customer that I post here). If this time I decided to do it is to make Paizo (more) aware of the problem they have, since it is a company I really appreciate and that I would like to continue supporting.

Dear sirs

I have no other choice but to write here about my problem. I sent an email to Paizo customer service on October 15 reporting that I had not received Pathfinder Adventure Path #122 (order #4421612). Having not received any answer, I emailed again on October 25. No reply yet.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have seen this with Paizo customer service. I emailed this summer for a different issue and, after not receiving any answer after several emails and weeks, luckily I was able to sort the problem out by myself. However, that problem was about setting a different payment method and that delay caused me to miss the start of the Starfinder Adventure Path subscription, whose issue #1 now I have to wait for as a backorder that is on my sidecart since 2.5 months ago, not knowing when will be made effective.

I hope that by writing here, my request will have more visibility and somebody from Paizo customer service will contact me.
