GM Ilmakis |

Please fill out RPG Chronicles and enter your information on the Slides (both will be linked above) prior to the start of Gameday on September 8th.
Any GM Glyphs to share, or anything else I should know about your character before we begin?
Feel free to start introducing your characters in the Gameplay thread.

![]() |

I have two glyphs to share.

![]() |

Hey all, looking forward to this. 2 glyphs as well, but looks like we are more than covered.
Mechanically, Keri is an archer bard with Multifarious Muse (Warrior and Maestro).
Soothe and Assurance (Medicine) -- including battle medicine for use in a pinch

![]() |

4 glyphs but looks like they're not necessary.

![]() |

Heal and Assurance Medicine as well but I don't have Battle Med.
Also looking to test drive his new bard Dedication.
I built Gnimish as a stand-off long range sorcerer (who actually needs to get out more)...

![]() |

Sorry, been a busy week, didn't see that the links were up until now. Coracle's sheet is ready, I've entered info on the slides, and I will introduce him when I have a bit more free time later today. No glyphs.

![]() |

Coracle is pretty straightforward: A monk with Tiger Stance, and a sailor with the Pirate Dedication. He's good at physical skills and shredding things, but don't expect much from him if it requires brains. (And unlike most historical pirates and most cats, he's actually good at swimming and likes the water.)

![]() |

Not a pirate, but chirrit can join you swimming in the water if needed grew up in the Puddles district - well below it more specifically, where that nickmname got quite literal.
He's a wit Swashbuckler, who will most often be hurling his hammer about while yelling (discouraging) things at the enemy and (encouraging) things at you
Likes to One For All to Aid a lot...which also goes swimmingly in a PbP format :p

@GM: Will we starting Encounter A soon? The House GM announcement was 2 days ago now. Is everything OK at your end?

GM Hmm |

Activating Substitute GM protocol!

GM Hmm |

Okay, we are up!
Arr, today be International Talk Like a Pirate Day, so post or you scurvy dogs will walk the plank!

Aye, aye, Cap'n Hmm!
Thankee fer takin' the helm when we was becalmed!

![]() |

According to the first few Discussion posts here, each of us should have 2 Hero Points, but Coracle was never given a second token on the Slides. But since I almost certainly (?) needed to reroll his attack just now, that slide should be correct now.

GM Hmm |

Understood.

GM Hmm |

I just added Salt of the Ocean maps to my GM header, but I'm hoping that GM Ilmakis can return soon!

**HOUSE GM ANNOUNCEMENT**
...
Table GMs, Ship Ahoy! Quickly finish your current mission and proceed to Encounter A!
...
Table GMs, the Ship Shape condition is in effect!
What does the Ship Shape condition do, BTW?

GM Hmm |

Oh darn. I missed it!
Ship Shape: The Snapdragon arrived at its destination in good time, letting the PCs prepare to leap quickly into action when needed. The PCs become quickened in the first round of Encounter A. They can use the extra action to draw an item or Stride.
Everyone can take these extra actions now if they like.

![]() |

Eeep! I should have considered all this before bringing an elemental sorcerer with FIRE as his primary element!! :)

![]() |

Do we have time to heal between Acts 1 & 2? Do we have a healer in the party? (In any case, everyone chose their Pathfinder provisions, yes?)
Coracle has the Underwater Marauder feat, so will not be off-guard underwater or take any attack penalty for B or S attacks. The skill bonus from the Pearl gives him +11 to Swim (master), so he's likely to stay in front. He also has a dragon turtle scale, if he needs to swim faster for a minute.
I don't have a preference for which mission to do, as long as we keep things moving along.

GM Hmm |

Yes, you should have 20 minutes to heal.
Well, let's pick our first act at random so that I have time to set it up before going to bed tonight, and you all can pick our next event after that!
I am going to start us with one of the two skill missions.
Skill Mission Coin Flip: 1d2 ⇒ 2
We'll be heading to Mission 3: Pirate Parley!

GM Hmm |

Hey all, why don't you pick your next mission, so that either Ilmakis or I can roll you into it when this one is finished?
★ --- ★ --- ★ --- ★
Speaking of Ilmakis, he's okay, just underwater with some real life stuff. He'll be back soon, so I will be your GM for only a limited time.

This skill challenge seems to be going well, why not try the other one?

GM Ilmakis |

Back to life! Sorry guys, kids, work and life was overwhelming and I wasn't able to do anything except work, sleep and take care of my kids...
Won't happen again.
Many many thanks to Hmm to have taken the matter in hands and replace me for the time being.

![]() |

Another skill mission would be nice.

![]() |

@GM Ilmakis: Glad to hear life is less crazy for you again.
@GM Hmm: Thanks again for stepping in!

GM Hmm |

And with this, I leave you all! Thanks for letting me visit for a bit!

![]() |

(Psst, mateys! Go reread the initial briefing. The Whippoorwill and her captain have been missing for centuries, since the earliest years of the Society.)

![]() |

We should probably compare some skills to see who's best suited for what tasks.
As I mentioned above, Coracle has Athletics +9 +(11 to Swim while the pearl is active), has the Underwater Marauder feat, and a dragon turtle scale in case he needs a swim speed.
His Perception is +5, and his Acrobatics is +9.
If nobody has any better ideas, Coracle would suggest coming as close to the west side of the surviving stern as the surf will allow (less debris/rocks there), climb aboard, and search that part first. (He sees the crow's nest and flag as the most obvious objective, until they discover more.) Then the more athletic members of the party can climb/jump/swim/etc. southward to the other pieces of the ship, while others continue searching the stern or move the jolly boat around to the bow.

![]() |

Schek has Acrobatics +11, Athletics +6 w Underwater Marauder feat, Sailing Lore +7, Survival +5 (or +6 to navigate waters)

GM Hmm |

Hey all, I am back again for a bit. I'll stay on again until Ilmakis comes back.

Re: later Act 3 missions.
Schek's suggestion (voting in order 3,2,5,4) actually sounds solid to Chirrit kobolds together strong!
Can't do much if your boat sinks, and the swashbuckler is less likely to have relevant mystic skills to tease out old memories from weird magic receptacles.

GM Hmm |

That sounds great!

To those who don't know, GM Hmm just got her 5th Glyph! Let's all give her a warm pirate cheer!!
YARRR!!!

GM Hmm |

Awww... Thank you kindly!

◆◆◆ Horizon Thunder Sphere
Ooh, neat spell! I'll have to keep that one in mind for my own arcane/primal casters...
