The lasers are integrated into the turrets, and they use a central power unit for both motor control and firing the laser. So unfortunately there's nothing to salvage.

Bibframe knows:

10+:
One of the crates was designed to keep a living creature in stasis for transport. The seals on the crate are damaged, meaning its living contents are probably elsewhere on the ship.

15+:
When brought out of stasis from such a container, animals are normally disoriented and famished. Whatever the crate was transporting is likely both desperate for food and terrified.

Wilson provides some useful insights, but not enough to learn anything new.

Next knowledge tier would be 20+

You arrive at Engineering.

There are several consoles around the room, each attached to the piece of machinery it controls. The room’s layout is chaotic to the untrained eye.

When you enter the room, the ship speaks to you again through the intercoms.

"I need AutoMaint 13! They can fix me! They fix me every time they’re here! It’s not my engines, or navigation, or scanners, or anything like that. It’s me that’s broken! When they’re next to me I am in good repair, but whenever they aren’t I malfunction."

"Somehow, they always repair me. Please, something’s wrong with my systems and I don’t know what, but AutoMaint 13 does, and can fix me! Why can’t you see that!? Why won’t you help!? We just need to be together!"

You each get another chance at a Bluff, Diplomacy, or Intimidation check to reason with the ship.

Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Oshari clears his throat, speaking in a tone perhaps slightly harsher than he was planning, and attempting to offer some tough love, as it were.

"Look, I know you want to wait for Multifold Industries to come save you, but we received your signal two days ago, and they're still not here. If I had to guess, they're probably pretending they didn't see the signal so they can stall sending anyone out. Companies like that don't have your interests at heart. You're just an asset to them, and unless you've got union reps to have your back, they'd much rather write you off as a loss than spend any time trying to rescue you."

He pauses, perhaps realizing that he came on a bit too strong.

"They're not here yet, but we are. We can help if you let us."

No worries. Glad to have you back.

The crate’s settings suggest that whatever was in the crate can withstand extreme temperatures and needs little or no oxygen to survive.

We'll say that Oshiro moved before Raia cast grease. DC10 Acrobatics check from now on.

Some of the machines vibrate violently and traverse across the floor. Mostly double moves.

Bibframe's shot is just wide of the target.

Wilson knows:
They don't have any weaknesses. They do have standard construct immunities.

Wilson has to shoot past Oshari (soft cover, +4 to AC), but comfortably makes the shot. Sparks fly as he finishes off the severely damaged fab station.

Raia is very familiar with these machines. They're fabrication stations that manufacture components on demand. On this ship the parts would normally be taken away by vacuum tube and used to replace broken parts.

* The station's melee attack could knock a weapon out of your hand (Disarm on KAC+8).
* As a full round action, the station could repurpose a disarmed weapon (giving it the broken condition).
* The machines have darkvision 60 ft. and low-light vision.
* The machines aren't designed to move around, so they're very slow. 10 ft. movement.

Raia's energy ray shoots out into the gloom and miraculously finds it's target. Raia can move the dancing lights as a free action on her turn. So feel free to reposition them as needed.

Oshari hears a growl from his right, and barely gets a chance to turn his head before the creature leaps at him.

Everyone's up. Oshari can take two consecutive turns.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Bibframe goes Spernova and tries to finish the last Fab-Station.

Supernova DC14 Reflex Save Half; Fire Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6) = 12

Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo)

Male LG human law officer soldier (guard) 4 | SP 31/36 HP 32/32 | RP 4/4 | EAC 13; KAC 15 | Fort +6; Ref +3; Will +5 | Init: +6 | Perc: +2, SM: +5 | Speed 30 ft | Expendables: Gauntlet Charge: 20/20 | Active conditions: None.

After the fire clears, Raia runs up and moves the dancing lights forward to illuminate the area.

Wilson drops his tactical cryopike, summoning the called invigorating static arc pistol into his hand. He heads forward to a position he can reach within the room and fires at the remaining fabrication station, assuming it still exists.

Static arc pistol attack vs. fab-4's EAC: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Static arc pistol damage (electricity, lethal): 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Oshari moves further in, running towards the remaining fab station when he notices and attacking.

I'm assuming Fab Station 4 wasnt there for my previous turn, so first is just move, then attack next turn.
Storm Doshko: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24, 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Fab station reflex DC14: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19

Bibframe's supernova lights up the dim corridors. The Fab station happens to be behind a stack of boxes at the time and avoids some of the blast.

Wilson and Oshari converge at the crossroads and deliver a combined strike on the still burning machine, breaking it into pieces.

Combat over

With the area secured, you're free to explore. Unfortunately, you find that most of the terminals are without power.

You find one terminal that has just enough residual power in it's capacitors for you to download some logs (see handouts).

From your knowledge of the ship's layout, you determine that the most likely location to enable power is the repair bay. You could also visit the ship's bridge, but if you did, you'd find that it's protected by an energy field and a blast door.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Male Large Dragon Solarian 2 SP 14/14 ; HP 20/20 ; RP 4/4 | EAC 12; KAC 14 | Ft +3; Rf +0; Wi +3| Init. +0; Perc. +5; | Speed 25ft fly 25ft | Active conditions: None.

Bibframe spends 10 minutes to get up in Stamina. -1 Rp. Full SP

Anyone who wants to take a 10 minute rest can do so.

On your way to the repair bay, you encounter another corridor with laser turrets. However, this time the turrets are inactive.

Engineering check to investigate the turrets.

Likewise, 10 minute rest.

Oshari adjusts his glasses as the nanites begin to swarm around them.

Engineering, Crafty Graft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo)

Male LG human law officer soldier (guard) 4 | SP 31/36 HP 32/32 | RP 4/4 | EAC 13; KAC 15 | Fort +6; Ref +3; Will +5 | Init: +6 | Perc: +2, SM: +5 | Speed 30 ft | Expendables: Gauntlet Charge: 20/20 | Active conditions: None.

While the others rest up, Wilson and Domehead search the area and maintain the perimeter.

He investigates the turrets.

Engineering: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Oshari determines:
The turrets are fully functional. The ship could command them to attack you if it wanted to.

Repair bay

The repair bay contains machinery and drones used for automated processes within the ship, as well as terminals that grant manual access to the ship’s systems. A hatch atop a platform in the south-eastern corner allows repair drones to exit the ship for outside repairs.

You can restore power to the ship’s manual control terminals by accessing fuses within the consoles along the southern wall (Computers or Engineering check). Alternatively, you can use a set of heavy levers to manually reset the fuses (Athletics check).

Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo)

Male LG human law officer soldier (guard) 4 | SP 31/36 HP 32/32 | RP 4/4 | EAC 13; KAC 15 | Fort +6; Ref +3; Will +5 | Init: +6 | Perc: +2, SM: +5 | Speed 30 ft | Expendables: Gauntlet Charge: 20/20 | Active conditions: None.

Wilson begins trying to reset the fuses manually with the levers.

Athletics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
