I will try to also take pictures and post links to it in here. If I can figure out how?
I use threatre of the mind and can be a bit over discriptive. But will try and lay out the scene as best as possible.
A couple things are possible regarding quick maps.
- Stock gridded map (by terrain type) with tokens that can be placed.- I've used Ye Olde Map Maker to good effect, hosting the images in Google
There's probably easier ways that I haven't encountered yet, though.

Sadly I just have my phone to work with. No computers for me.

You are a brave soul, I don't think I could do all the formulas on my phone.
Anyway, saw the post in game and dotted and deleted. I will try and get something up tonight or in the morning. Sadly my weekends are busier than my weekdays. Today was especially busy, the kids and grandkids came up to celebrate my wife's birthday, so I've been away from the computer (and phone) for several hours.
Super stoked about the game Critzible, thanks again for running it.

So, just a question from my end on hw you want to approach the setting Critzible. Stuff like for example, is it commonly accepted to cast a spell in a public place, like a tavern or in the middle of the street? Or are people usually fearful and distrustful of such actions? Or maybe you need a license to cast inside the city walls (I think I remember something like that in an 'older' setting like Forgotten Realms. Can't remember which one exactly)?
What about weapons? Is it commonly accepted to walk around town armed, like Terion is for example?
Just wanting to get a feel for the environment.

Congrats to the wife!

More questions - would we be correct in assuming burglar to be a disreputable occupation?
@RH: Is Boram just being sassy, or is there are a reason which would make it ok for oneself to announce as a burglar that I am missing? :D
Oh no, he's happy to announce his profession as a burglar. Especially with the hope of joining a group of adventurers, which is why he came here.
Again, he's careful not to be a criminal, he's not a thief or a pickpocket, but a fixer. A trap and lock expert for hire, or legitimate employment for certain situations where folks would rather deal with situations without the tedium of taking things to the law.
Part of the story he was told since he was young ”Not just common criminals and foot pads, not pickpockets or con artists; they were burglars; the finest to bear the name! Trained to get in places and back out without detection. Hired to sneak in and remove a specific item or sometimes hired to sneak in and leave an item. And I’m not talking about being hired by nare-do-wells, criminals or thugs. I’m talking about being hired by Dwarven kings and Elven councils, even the greatest human wizards considered Halfling burglars friends and companions.”
When I created Boram I was building on the idea of Halflings being good 'burglars' and the idea in the beginning of LotR that if family found gold and jewels in Bilbo's house they could take them, since they were stolen anyway, ie. it's not a crime to take things from criminals...

Magic in the open, is fine. The folk would distrust it but are not gonna chase you out unless you use it against them.
Halflings being a burglar. Pretty normal. Think small town rural america when outsiders come in compounded with Halflings being roguish travellers. People are keeping an eye on him.
Ill post a good follow up later as its a change up at work schedule due to spring break so yay

Critzible, I followed the websites gear 'build.' It looked like selection of packs and stuff. Was that ok, or would you prefer we go with a certain gold and purchase our gear?
I'd asked earlier, 'cause Boram has no money right now. I if we get a 'package' how much money is left? Or would you rather we purchase items from a specific amount?

This is an interesting challenge, trying to write Jairdan as the insulation, somewhat socially awkward, {shrinking violet} trope while trying to keep the momentum going. I like it, but yow.
I also think you are doing well with it. It can be a challenge but you are handling it well.

So I played the PC version of "Temple of Elemental Evil" back in the early 00's I forgot all about the NPC's hanging out in the 'Inn' :)
Yeah I am pulling from that too. But in the original their are plenty of NPCs to work with , enploy, marry ect.

Lol that is true.
I do miss Comeliness.
Especially when I had an Amazing charisma but a horrendeous Comeliness. Fun times seeing my Mongrelfolk Cleric/Bard charm thier way into town even though they had Huge bulbous eyes, a tiny cat nose, orc tusks, gnome ears and covered in patchy green grey fur with hints of scales here and there. His calculated 4 comeliness with a charisma of 19 [14 to non mongrwl folk] was a fun time.

Herala is gonna want something really cool and adventurous.... Like standard fantasy name. Like think of the most basic 14 yr old name. Like the Dragonslayers or something. Darkness devourers

Sorry, mentally and emotionally whipped today. Normally I figure if I have the time to post in discussion, I can make a short post in game instead. Sadly, today is going be the exception to that. I've occasionally mentioned that I take care of my mom full time. I use the games here to keep myself distracted from RL. I normally try and post once a day in the games that are moving whatever is happening in RL. I told a few folks that she passed last Thursday, it was not unexpected, she'd fought dementia for the last ten years and her health had slipped. But today was the funeral, twenty-two family members from out of town, at the funeral home and here at the house. The headed home and we just finished dinner, but I'm whipped. I thought I had the energy for this tonight, but I just don't. I'll get a post up in the morning, and things should be back to normal quickly. I know it isn't a big deal to miss a day of posting, but I did want to explain. The community here is super, and I know you all understand.
