Ano Clovermark |

The catfolk takes a deep breath and runs, jumping off of Arrian’s back to fly into the northern part of the area, drawing her rapier out in midair. Cherry flies to a nearby branch for safety, and to keep an eye out in case anyone else comes running from other directions.
Cherry Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

I'll bot Donimah for now, but won't use her slots.
Donimah shoots a magical fist at one of the goblins.
Telekinetic fist: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
It goes into the smoke in the room and is not to be seen again. Then, the goblins fly into an attack. They seem to be very confident in numbers. Two of them go for Arrian and four go for Ano. Three cannot move into range, so they shoot their arrows at Arrian.
Goblin vs Arrian: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Goblin vs Arrian: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

They seem to be disoriented as all attacks are wild. Only one arrow glazes Arrian.
Arrian, take 3 piercing damage from an arrow. Party's up!

.Arrian |

@GM: Did Arrian hit and kill a goblin with his strike last round?

Juriya Arima |

"Hey, goblins, I heard you like fire! Why don't we give you some," Juriya cackles as she drops her crossbow (free action) and draws and launches an alchemical bomb in the middle of all the goblins.
Attack v. Touch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4 Well that was pitiful. 4 damage to the one in the center, 2 splash damage to the ones adjacent. I put a big red square around 'em.

Ano Clovermark |

Ano retains her composure as she sends her rapier’s sharp end at the goblin on her right.
Rapier Attack, Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 8 - 1 = 24
Rapier Damage, Power Attack: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 = 7

Zeldrith Angothane |

Zeldrith scowls, striding past Arrian and into the smoke. "Pray to your gods, little fools - you'll be meeting them soon enough!" Drawing his blade, he buries it deep into the first goblin he comes across, backing into a corner so he can hold off against the horde.
Longsword +1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Zel provokes with his movement. I have a few comments. Arrian does kill one with his readied action (since it's a surprise round, you couldn't move and attack, so I picked a readied attack).
@Juriya: What's this alchemical bomb? It can't be alchemist's fire. But you don't have alchemist levels yet. Where is this coming from?

Juriya Arima |

Bomber Talent, from Rogue.

Donimah Southlander |

Donimah moves forward and throws another telekinetic fist over Arrian's shoulder to try and clear the chaff.

After Juriya has all but charred all these goblins, Ano and Zeldrith each take one out. As Zeldrith moves, one of the goblins tries to attack him and misses him. Donimah punches one of the goblins through the air and it's enough to bring him down, since he was all burned.
Attack vs Zel: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Attack vs Ano: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

The goblins all attack clumsily due to fear and miss their attacks.
Party's up. Go on and enjoy this bad luck I'm having with the d20s

Ano Clovermark |

Attacking Goblin in front, Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (13) + 8 - 1 = 20
Damage, Power Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6
After yanking her rapier out of the dead goblin, Ano immediately sends her blade into the goblin in front of her.

.Arrian |

Arrian shifts forward into the room a bit and slashes at one of the remaining goblins!
@GM: I placed an orange lightning bolt on the one Arrian is attacking. In his dice roll line the PA is for Power Attack and the FF is for the Furious Focus feat.
MW Falchion, PA, FF: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 162d4 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 4) + 4 + 3 = 15

Juriya Arima |

Juriya takes a five foot step forward, and begins her usual routine of feinting then attacking, now with an improved rapier made of cold iron.
Feint: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 3 + (3, 5) = 12
d20s aren't damage dice, Ano. As fun as that'd be.

Ano Clovermark |

That was a massive mistake, I know I rolled a 1 but I can mullegan that mistake

Donimah Southlander |

Donimah points at one of the goblins before Ano, and a sends a bright green ray of light surging his way!
Acidic Ray: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
It arcs over the goblin's head and past Ano, sizzling into the brambles and dissolving some of the plants into a puddle of steaming goo.

Zeldrith Angothane |

Zeldrith spares a glance in the direction of the entrance, grinning as the goblins fall like cut wheat and nodding to Arrian as the half-orc steps into the gap. "Just mopping up the stragglers at this point, eh?" He grins at the goblins, or at the very least shows them all his teeth as he blocks a clumsy knife thrust at Arrian by snapping his fanged jaws shut on the offending goblin's wrist. "Tell you what, little fools, why don't you just leap off that cliff there, save us all a little trouble?" He shrugs, slashing at another goblin as he continues to address them in a distressingly cheerful tone. "It's no skin off our noses if you want to fight - we can and will kill each of you little green runts, but we wouldn't say no to your making our jobs a little easier. What do you say?"
Five-foot step to get up next to Arrian. Bite attack against the lower goblin, longsword against the upper one.
Bite: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Longsword +1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

I like runes |

@Ano: I would have asked you to reroll the damage, or roll it myself, but 1 is enough to finish off the goblin. Juriya's bomb doing 2 damage all around was huge!
In a furious flurry of swings and strikes, the group quickly dispatches the remaining goblins. It is impressive how far the heroes of Sandpoint have come since the first raid during the festival.
Watching the goblins' den, there is little food and they were sleeping in their filth. It is clear this isn't where their leader is.

.Arrian |

Arrian checks the goblins in the unlikely event they have anything of interest on them.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

.Arrian |

@GM: Arrian will scout ahead down the 'middle'(?) path to determine if there's anything/anyone:
Arrian tries to quietly check for more foes:
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

.Arrian |

Funnily enough, all paths can be considered 'middle' from a certain point of view. I colored the possibilities grey, green and orange. Please specify
I've experienced this with PF maps. ;) Arrian is going the grey route since it's the closest one.

Juriya Arima |

Gray.

The passage opens into a large cave-like chamber. Above, the thorny canopy grows thin enough that tiny slivers of the sky above can be seen, while below, the ground consists of trampled dirt. To the west, the distant sound of sloshing waves echoes up from a hole.
Arrian notices that the hole leads down to the water, and the bottom can also be accessed by sea from the north.
That is to say, Arrian notices that the water that touches the land to the north of where the group (check map), which is visible from the lookout where you just were, goes into the land and connects with the hole on the ground.

Ano Clovermark |

Ano glares down the hole in uncertainty. "What do you think is down there?" she asked.
"I can fly in and take a quick look," Cherry asked. Once he felt Ano's glare on him, he muttered, "Oh. The Glassworks. I mean, I can flutter just below the hole and fly right back out. Surely nothing in there can grab me, right?"

"I think it gives them access to the beach and water below."
At least that's what I take from the GM's description. If we want to check the hole to see what's on the beach I'd recommend clearing this area first and then checking the bottom of the hole.
@GM: On the map it looks like there's an opening? I marked it with a lightning bolt.
Edit: Juriya's post reminded me, Arrian should make another Perception check. If not for the other possible opening than onto the green one.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Arrian scouts around for more clues or traps.

Juriya Arima |

Sorry for the delay
Arrian determines that the path leads to the entrance. No traps can be found, but a narrow path can be found to the northeast.
I marked the passage with Arrian's lightning.[ooc]
Peeking through it, Arrian notices that the way goes three ways, where the left-most one has an area with many of those ugly looking dogs that the goblins like so much. He counts 8 that he can see, but figures there are more than that. They're alerted, probably due to hearing the fight with the goblins just now.
[ooc]Marked goblin dogs with a red symbol.

.Arrian |

@GM: I'm going to include a Knowledge (Nature) check to learn anything useful about the dogs. Defense (DR, SR, energy immunity or resistance) first. If it's a different Knowledge check I can roll it but they're pretty much the same; only Local is slightly lower at +7.
Knowledge Nature: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 = 13
Arrian holds his hand up in a 'stop' gesture as he returns to the group. He motions backwards 'behind' the hole towards where the party defeated the goblins.
Once they're what he thinks is far enough away he relays the information about the number of dogs and anything he can recall about them.
"I think they know we're here. I'm tempted to try and lure them here so we can funnel them near the hole but I don't know if anyone or anything else is with them."

Juriya Arima |

Juriya scrambles to grab her crossbow, loads it, and prepares to possibly use one of her remaining bombs to do some damage to the crowd of goblin dogs. She tries to recall the same information as Arrian does.
Kn (Nature): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 Sadly not a CS yet.

.Arrian |

It's a class skill for Arrian but there's not much to do when you roll a 5.

Donimah Southlander |

Donimah listens to Arrian's description and thinks on it to see if she remembers anything.
Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

.Arrian |

So how do we want to handle the dogs? Lure them out or charge in at them?

Ano Clovermark |

"They won't even close to me," Ano said softly, readying herself for the next onslaught.

Juriya Arima |

Juriya can probably bomb them all if they're lumped together.

.Arrian |

Juriya can probably bomb them all if they're lumped together.
How many bombs does Juriya have left?

Juriya Arima |

She has six left.

.Arrian |

She has six left.
If Juriya wants to use a bomb that would be best done as the 'first shot' since she does not have PBS and Precise Shot.

Juriya Arima |

That's the idea. I don't even know if she can GET bomb discoveries TBH. She doesn't have the Bomb class feature... but she has bombs.

Juriya Arima |

Bomb (Touch): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3
Uh. Miss?: 1d8 ⇒ 4 So top-left of whatever the intended target is if it's a miss.
Juriya looses another bomb, smiling as she does so. The copied formula works spectacularly, now all she needs to do is improve on it!

I like runes |

Believe in yourself Juri! At this level, touch + flat footed AC is usually 10.
Juriya's bomb hits the center dog right in the forehead. It whines in pain and the fire that splashes to the nearby dogs also makes them wince. They all start shouting in a squeaky voice. Some of them jump towards Juriya, while most of them just cower to the side. However, the dogs that tried to charge forward are kept in place. It seems that they're all tied to the floor.

Ano Clovermark |

Realizing they’re all tied down, Ano asks, “Should we just kill them so they make less noise? Or just leave them be?”

.Arrian |

Realizing they’re all tied down, Ano asks, “Should we just kill them so they make less noise? Or just leave them be?”
@GM: Can Arrian see if there's any passage/room beyond the dogs? Or is this more of a kennel where they're kept?
"If we eliminate the goblins maybe we let them loose. But we risk them being used against Sandpoint later. As much as I hate to kill helpless creatures..."
He shrugs clearly uncomfortable but also recognizing the dogs' roles in goblin warfare.

Juriya Arima |

"Do wonder if it's all Canids and I'll just be mobbed on sight though," Juriya says with a frown.
