hey YBD juggling around the moneys and different items, I forgot to include Alchemical silver on tribim's 2 Kunais, do you mind if I retcon that? The cost would be 40 gp.

Mahmoud the Blade |

Kind of disturbing how much the thing we're facing looks like an erudite eye!

Tribim |

I have not heard from him specifically. I'm in three other games with him (not counting your other one) He posted in one this morning, the second back on Sunday, and it's been five days in the third. The post this morning was brief, I just think he's super busy.

Aerith Lithanel |

Sorry, I'm here. Newborn, back to work and a muscle strain from the gym. I tried to make a post in the other campaign but I just had writer's block.
My apologies for holding us up. I'll get posts up in the morning.

Aw, new baby! Mazel tov!
Take your time!

I am very confused at your last two posts, GM.
The aghash glared and touched Epperson? Does it have reach with its touch attack? (It's not next to Epperson on the map.) Is the glare subjected to the vision issues raised by the sandstorm?
Do I still need to do that Will save? Do I need to do the Fortitude save? Did you roll a saving throw for me? If so, why?
I need more clarity to your post before I can post. Thanks.

Your Benevolent Dictator |

No problem! The aghash is able to make touch attacks at range and is not subject to the sandstorm's vision-reducing properties.
Between my last two posts, I've rolled two Will saves - both for the aghash. The first was to see if your malediction was successful (the aghash successfully saved); the second was in response to Aerith's telekinetic parry (the ability description is in Aerith's post). This means that the only thing Epperson needs to worry about this round is the Fortitude save to avoid being shaken.

Just a heads up. I'm headed out of town this afternoon. My laptop is broken enough I can't take it with me, so I won't be back online/in games until sometime Sunday afternoon

Mahmoud the Blade |

Hmm, a short rest is an hour? That might be too long to wait. But we should at least top off Tribim with the wand before we continue, shouldn't we?

Aerith Lithanel |

I’d vote to use the wand and push on merely because we seem to have a time constraint. id hate for the other group to take our loot because we waited

Tribim |

I would prefer to use the wand as well and move on.

Mahmoud the Blade |

I'm going out of town for a long weekend, and my internet access will be spotty on just my phone. I should be back to full posting strength on Sunday evening.

Tribim |

I’m a bit confused, then. Is there a door to the north of the octagonal room?
Yes, the small octagonal room has a chest on the east wall and door to the north which leads to a set of stairs going down. Are you looking at the room in the north west corner of the map?
D10 is the hallway where Tribim found the trap the hard way, the octagonal room is D11.

Tribim |

The confusion could be because everyone's map icon (except for Tribim) is still by the octagonal platform in the room where you fought the aghash.
No certainly that's not the cause. I'm sure it's because people are playing on their phone and it's throwing the graphics into unusual and scary patterns.

Tribim |

That's fair. The map shows up correctly on my phone, but it takes a while to load and I can't move or select anything.

Apparently, I need to work on communicating sarcasm in print better...

Tribim |

Mahmoud says slowly, "I think the stairs are the best bet, if we want to catch whoever has entered the ruin before us-- and presumably sent the bandits to ambush us."
A quick question, the prints were leading away from the steps, do think they went downstairs and came back up? Or am I missing something?

Tribim |

Sorry, YBD, I wasn't expecting info from you, that was more for Mahmoud and the other players.

My partner received news of a family medical emergency this afternoon. As a result, we're driving across the country tomorrow for what could be a final visit. I'll update Gameplay when I can (it's a good way to keep my mind off of things) but will have limited time and internet access for the next nine days or so.

Mahmoud the Blade |

Thanks for letting us know, YBD! Take care, be safe. No stress from this direction!

Tribim |

yes, to echo Epp, sorry to hear. Take all the time you need, we're not going anywhere.

Tribim |

Mahmoud, you still with us?

Mahmoud the Blade |

My apologies for holding things up, I got caught up in a bunch of personal stuff the last couple of days and kept putting off responding.

Dude, hope things are going better.

You've found the akhat.
Interesting linguistics point here - the word derives from the Coptic language. In that alphabet, the letter “k” is pronounced as a hard “s”.

The Egyptian hieroglyphic for akhat is an upside-down heart, like this: <3

Tribim |

Aerith? Mahmoud?

Tribim |

Everyone doing ok? We've been in combat since Tuesday and I'm the only one who's posted. Not trying to rush anyone. I realize things slowed down, and I'm just trying to get the pace back to where it was :)

Epperson, son of Epper |

Hey y'all - I'm going to be the lead for a large work conference beginning tomorrow. I will be tied up for the remainder of this week. My ability to reply to games that I'm in will be considerably limited. It's not that I'll go dark - but I might.
Anyhow, FYI. I should be back in 6 days. Thanks!
