Please no one open the trapdoor; we'll assume that's where it goes.
Reta opens the trapdoor. Just kidding! ;-)
I am fine with the 'Float your Local Goblin' plan.

.Mogmurch |

Okay so Chuffy goes first. I'm thinking *just* Chuffy since he has by far the best Stealth especially with his shiny new armor.

.Mogmurch |

That's largely up to Chuffy since he'd be the first one in the 'hole' and he'd be alone until Poog and Mogmurch were 'lifted' up.

GM Mike...R |

Chuffy is currently hidden from the creature in the room. Reta could pick up Poog and Mogmurch and also levitate them up to the roof in one trip. However, only the square where Chuffy is provides enough cover to hide behind so as soon as they got up on the roof combat would start.
Essentially, the remaining three goblins could get up to the roof without starting a fight. But once they got there they would be spotted.

.Mogmurch |

Chuffy seems okay with it so it would be Poog and Mogmurch up next. Mogmurch will use one of his extracts on him before they ascened, Shield, and then get a bomb ready to throw on the way up!
Hopefully Reta drinks the Potion of Barkskin.

Hopefully Reta drinks the Potion of Barkskin.
If Mogmurch does not want to imbibe it, Reta surely will... Thanks!

Reta is one of the 'big hitters' and we need to protect her.

If I'm reading it correctly (and the GM can correct me if I'm wrong), Reta and Mogmuch will spend their 'surprise round' action as move actions to get into the hole since we don't have line of sight/effect to the ogre to use a standard to attack with range, etc.
Effectively by the start of round 1 Mogmurch, Poog and Reta would have managed to get onto the edge of the 'kitchen' roof (The hole is between the 'kitchen' roof and Pa Munchmeat's room). I've moved Mogmurch and Reta's tokens to the position where they would be at the start of round 1 (I've also moved Chuffy's token next to Pa Munchmeat).

GM Mike...R |

I wouldn't have been able to avoid hitting either Mogmurch or myself. Doesn't matter now since the swarm is gone.
Yeah, I guess you would have needed to go before Mogmurch. I was thinking you might have been aiming high so that only the bottom 10 by 10 foot bit of the area of effect was at roof level (which would avoid the goblins as mechanically medium creatures are only deemed to occupy a 5x5x5 foot cube).

.Mogmurch |

Don't set fire to Mogmurch!

kaervek78's pre-gen |

Don't set fire to Mogmurch!
Yeah, it's way better to set Mogmurch on fire! :-P B-)

.Mogmurch |

@GM: How big is Munchmeat's room specifically how high is the ceiling?

GM Mike...R |

Chuffy is stand up, attack if he still can.
As Reta drew the AoO Chuffy should be able to safely stand up. As his weapon will have been dropped he would need to use both his standard and move action to stand up and pick up his weapon. He can also five foot step to get back into flank if he wants.

.Mogmurch |

If anyone is upset that Pa is now trapped I was hoping I'd roll better on the damage and kill him. Failing that we could at least get away if that's what we want to do.

kaervek78's pre-gen |

Readied attack (with flanking) sounds good to me! :-D

.Mogmurch |

What do you plan to do with Pa? He looks to be in pretty bad shape. You think a couple of good hits would be enough to finish him, so you could just set yourself up with readied actions to attack him as soon as the sphere disappears.
That's what I was thinking. Have Reta and Chuffy in flank with readied actions to go at the same time and hopefully the finish him. Mogmurch will be ready with a flask of acid just in case.
And Poog will do Chiefly things...
GM Mike...R |

"Uh, chief Poog? Can you heal me, too?"
Reta took 5 fire damage from the flaming sphere...
Flaming sphere only does damage if you fail the save, so Reta managed to avoid all of the damage from it.

Oh. I need to pay more attention, it seems...
Well, that's great! :-)

But did her hair get singed? Think of the 'do!

.Mogmurch |

Apologies for the slight delay in posting what happens when the sphere pops. I'm having a busy few days, but should be able to post the next update tomorrow. Think of it as a bit of a cliff hanger!
Is on the edge of his seat with popcorn!

.Mogmurch |

From what the GM posted above do we want to try and fight the 'mean bird thing'? Mogmurch is down to his last bomb but has 2 extracts left and an assortment of alchemical weapons.
We could try to lure it out or set fire to the structure and see what happens?

kaervek78's pre-gen |

Well, if the 'mean bird thing' isn't resistant to fire: We have found many gourds (of fire breathing).
Also, Reta has +1 animal bane arrows (5) and +1 flaming arrows (8)...

Chuffy will go along if outvoted. But..
From Chuffy's perspective, Pa Meatf*ck is dead, and received armor making him 'one with the shadows'. Chuffy is content. The goblin could care two s#its about the pigs. And if there's the vultures are hiding a few gold coins, they can keep it: too much trouble.

.Mogmurch |

Mogmurch, being a spineless toady, will vote the same way the Chieftain votes.

Metagaming there could be treasure and/or access still to go; I was concerned how many resources the party has left.
Since it looks pretty good we can give it a shot.

Given that Chuffy's plan was to move in and attack on the first round, it made sense that he would have positioned himself somewhere that he could do that and also avoid Poog's negative energy. So I'm good for him to have started somewhere different.

He also besmirched Mogmurch's bomb accuracy. :(

Thanks everyone for playing, hopefully my first attempt at PbP GMing went ok. I'll generate the chronicle sheets and get the game reported in the next day or so. Make sure you've added your details to the signup sheet as I'll be using the that for the reporting details.
Thank you very much for running! It was a hoot! :)
I think you did quite well for your first time GMing; I only hope I can emulate your success. Thanks to all the players for playing!

Seconded. I couldn't say it better.

.Mogmurch |

@GM: I've sent you a PM if you can spare some time to give it a read I would appreciate it. :)

GM Mike...R |

The game has now been reported and the chronicle sheets are available here. Let me know if there are any issues.
Thanks again for playing.

Chronicle looks good. I do need my reporting marked as using a replay though.
You did an excellent job with the game. You definitely let us take advantage of PBP's allowing more roleplay without letting things get bogged down. Would play with again.
Sorry I blew everyone up. Thanks for running with it, everyone.

You probably saved Mogmurch's life by blowing up the eagles!

.Mogmurch |

To be fair blowing everyone up is totally on brand for goblins!
I've updated the reporting to include the replay.
The Chronicle looks good and, if I may ask, what program did you use to fill out the PDF?

kaervek78's pre-gen |

Chronicle looks good.
I have one question, though: Was there only 1 PP to earn or did we miss something that cost us the second PP?

GM Mike...R |

I used the 'fill and sign' functionality in Adobe Acrobat Reader. First I extract the chronicle sheet from the pdf file using Smallpdf which is a free online tool, and then I open the extracted pdf in Acrobat Reader to fill it in. These days I normally just use RPG Chronicles (which I used for the game sign up sheet) to generate the chronicle sheet as that will automatically create the filled in chronicle sheet using the sign up information, but unfortunately We Be Goblins Too! has not been set up in RPG Chronicles yet.
I have one question, though: Was there only 1 PP to earn or did we miss something that cost us the second PP?
The maximum you can get is 1PP, so you didn't miss anything. It's the same for all of the short 1XP modules even though they are a similar length to a standard scenario.
