Good to know of these things for myself, certainly.

Gnarok's comment about ancestry makes me wonder, what even is the company policy on interpersonal relationships? It's regulated in a lot of places as is, but one when person could be a biological ancestor of several thousand years out? That's gotta be an ethical debate of some measure.

Not sure if it's your intent... Legal Apartheid started around 1948.
Possible after Jeremiah, definitely before Bekkah. But as historian, he may have knowledge.
Yeah, he's trained as a historian by the Temporal Defense Society, so he knows a good deal more about human history than happened before his time of origin.

Sorry about that, I rember reading and thinking of what to post when I had gotten home. Seems I got heavily distracted along the way.

Sorry folks, rough week & weekend. Will catch up.

Any rogue/operative type bonuses for disarm or unarmed attack?
Do I still need to flank to get the +1d6 precision damage?

No on the bonuses, but go ahead and make a Stealth check; I'll allow you the bonus on DC 15 (natural 8 or better).

Some clarification from you boss, the man Jerimiah knows- is that a name by marriage, or by blood?
Uret Jet |
Just want to make sure the girl isn't an 'essential character by historical standards, as Jermiah is about to suggest doing something that could have a timeline impact if so.
Uret Jet |
Right, help me out here my fellow players. I want to help this guy elope away with his love interest, as it seems said love interest isn't implicitly important to the timeline. Theoretically, we can even use this to our advantage in the goal of getting the diamonds we need. What I'm struggling with and why it seems to be holding up the game, is I'm not sure how to accomplish this task. Jerimiah's smart, I'm a bit of a numbskull. I keep trying to think of things and my mind just blanks.

I understand they were being used, but where is the deception?
Does he have evidence that this professor had some other motive or true intent?
rando1000 |
The deception, at least as William sees it, is not in the job Grey asked them to do, but in the "of value to the Crown" part. Grey indicated Hoyle was disloyal to England in some way, though he does not appear to have intimated exactly what that way was. William claims to have bought that reasoning initially, but since the results were what they were (essentially the tribesmen being cut loose to deal with things on his own, rather than Grey sticking up for them or at least hiding them), William now doubts that the mission ever had anything to do with England or the King, but merely some political machinations of Grey himself.
The solution here is kind of open ended, perhaps too much so. I'll try to think of a way to wind this down and get you guys to where we can complete the adventure.
Uret Jet |
Apologies, I could just be overcomplicating things myself here as well by wanting to try finding an 'ideal' solution.
rando1000 |
Okay, I've wrapped things up. I made the mistake of leaving things TOO open ended. Doesn't work quite as well when players can't riff off each other at a table quickly and come up with a plan, I think.
I think I'm going to be taking a break from running soon. I am not sure how long a break, but I will likely be back at some point. Would you like to try another journey at that time? If so I'll message you when I'm ready.
Uret Jet |
Of course. I don't blame you too much here, I was definitely pushing things in a weird way. In the next one I'll try to keep things on track for the mission.
