Making a mental note to remind Kisaiya of the honey jar they are leaving behind, Rory nods in agreement with Mukluk. "Bees are the best."
Seeing the mule tender move back towards the ladies, Rory turns just as Durgan recommends heading up the stairs. Adding the two unopened doors on the first floor to his mental list he uses his knees to turn Storm that direction. "Come on boy let's head upstairs."
Letting the wolf move a little ahead of the others as they both carefully inspect the steps for traps and such.

The stone walls turn to heavy timbers as this tower climbs above the longhall. This landing is dark, illuminated only by what little light spills from the room below. A steep, narrow stair lacking any railing rises through an opening in the ceiling 20 feet above. Beyond this stair, a door opens into a side room.
I've moved you on the map to the new location. Left structure (which is the upper floor) to the bottom right of that structure.

As Mukluk move forwards and begins to inspect the door, Storm leans over like he's going to lick the bald dwarf. Realizing what his pet is doing, Rory, using his knees, nudges the wolf a little away from the dwarf. Speaking from experience, "No Storm, let him catch his breath. Stairs can be rough on folks with short legs."
Turning towards his friend he nods, "We're ready, once you've caught your breath."

The door opens to the upper balcony of the main hall - currently empty. Well, there are of course ravens fluttering about and caw-ing, but not a swarm exactly... though they do seem to be thickening.

Mukluk catches his breath and moves up with the party, wand in hand.

This chamber reeks of stale wine, rank sweat, and wild animal spoor. A rough bed sits at the far end, and a pot-belly stove rests between the windows, next to a coal bucket. Across from the stove is a small table holding several empty wineskins and a small oaken statuette.
Also in this chamber is an enormous man, draining a wineskin, and scratching his balls. When he sees the door open, he reacts more quickly than you’d expect - grabbing an axe from and end-table, rising, and changing form!
As he stands, fur covers his body and he grows even taller and more brutish!
In their humanoid forms, werebears tend to be muscular and broad-shouldered, with stark facial features and dark eyes. Their hair is usually red, brown, or black, and they look like they are used to a lifetime of hard work. Normally by far the most benign of common lycanthropes, werebears are shunned by most normal folk, who fear and mistrust their animal transformations. Most live as recluses in forested areas or in small family units among their own kind. From his countenance, this one is far from the normally good breed.

Hearing the enormous man was in fact a lycanthrope, Rory realized he had nothing even similar to silver to use as a weapon. Panicking, he draws out a flask of alchemist fire and throws it at the fellow. Realizing Durgan had fallen back, Rory shifts his knees communicating to his wolf he wanted Storm to move back as well. The wolf, having smelled the man-beast stood his ground, his hackles raised, growling a deep throaty growl at the fellow. Kicking the wolf with his bare heels, Rory yells, "Storm, move back!" The wolf, finally paying attention, steps back into the corner beside the dwarf, ready for the man-beast to charge.

Hoping his friend Mukluk will be ok, Rory smiles a wolfish smile as the dwarf moves back. Nudging Storms flanks with his bare heels, Rory guides the wolf to where the dwarf had been. "Let's get 'em Storm!"
Deciding the yellow ninja nears Kisaiya was the biggest threat, he turns Storm towards them. Stom surges forwards, snapping at the ellow ninja attempting to drag them to the ground, as Rory slashes at yellow them with his fancy new scimitar.

About to congratulate Kisaiya on her attack, he turns just in time to see the creature in the room strike her a vicious blow. Worried about his friend and the sound of many ravens, Rory turns Storm and urges the wolf to attack the next pink ninja. "Get 'em Storm." The Wolf turns and snaps at the pink ninja attempting to drag them to the ground, as Rory slashes at them with his fancy new scimitar.

Durgan casts guidance on Mukluk. Kisaiya steps out of the way and tries to heal a bit. Cover is a thing, but as he’s no longer in melee, Mukluk hits the giant bear causing even more burned fur smell! Rory and Storm slash pink twice and drop him to the ground. Ameiko following Durgan’s lead, and hampered by Mukluk’s grease, starts up her inspiration again (+1) as she otherwise waits for an opening.
The werebear hesitatingly, without a target, takes a 5’ step on the grease to the door. He does not look healthy.

Lastly a bird, with a distinct red feather (image) appears flying down the stairs, escorted by three airy wisps. These cloud-like creature have dark hollows reminiscent of eyes and a mouth, and a howling wind whips it into ominous shapes. They are small, but mighty!
Air elementals are fast, flying creatures made of living air. Primitive and territorial, they resent being summoned or doing the bidding of mortals, and much prefer to spend their time on the Plane of Air, swooping and racing through the endless skies.

Relieved that the man-bear was down, Rory Realizes Kisaiya was still fairly wounded. Nodding in agreement with Durgan, he considers what to do. While he ponders, Storm jumps up and snaps at the nearest green elemental.
Not wanting to be so close to the enemy, Rory squeezes Storms shoulders with his knees, telling the wolf, "Back up Storm, Back up." Once has shifted back Rory casts his spell to help heal his friend.

Durgan steps up and gets into the fight with aplomb - dropping the werebear! Kisaiya heals up a bit while Mukluk casts another overly complicated spell - but to good effect! Rory steps back and heals Kisaiya as Storm chomps down on an elemental. No crit though as they seem immune. Ameiko, unsure why everyone keeps backing away from battle, steps up and swings on an elemental a well.
