Alice Emmington
Alice places the protective luck on Zsofia now, and chants to extend its effect to 2 rounds, as well as prolonging the effect on Markus.
Zsófia Dobós
So when is Zsofia casting remove fear? How did she teleport into combat to get two strikes?
Oh, sorry, I guess I thought there was another round, where Ulricha opened the door and the dogs howled. My actions for round 1 included moving to the zombie and making a standard attack, so I thought I was already there for the full attack in round 2. Please use my round 2 post for round 3? Thanks!
Vandomir Jarvis
Vandomir keeps gunning arrows at the nearest zombie...

Round 3
25 Jorrast
24 hounds
21 Quince
21 dogs
21 soldiers
20 Vandomir
18 Xandarian
17 flood
11 Jorne
10 Alice
9 Ulricha
9 Hot Dog
Zsofia cuts the zombie down before her. Jorrast stalks around in the shadows. The hounds continue to howl and bark still a good distance away but no new effects happen. Quince and his dogs help Zsofia cut down the hardy zombie. A group of fast moving medium sized canines charge upon the group. Markus easily dashes those charging him to the ground. The other three get in vicious bites on the summoned dogs who dissipate into rainbow smoke, that smells horrible. The zombie soldiers slam into those before them but don't hit. Vandomir shoots three more arrows into a random zombie. Xandarian swings his rapier around attacking... not sure what.
Then you realize to your horror that they may have not been zombies... as maggots, worms, and other insects pulse out of the wounds and destroyed bodies. It is a swarm of insects. On your turn Fort DC 18 or nauseated and 2d6 damage. DR does not stop this damage. Every round Fort DC 12 or 1 con damage. Out from under the barrels more of the worms swarm towards the group. The dogs whimper and cry out as the swarm goes over them and their corpses explode with more.
Alice puts on the protective charm for Zsofia, touch needed? Ulricha and Markus?

Round 4
A creature within 30ft.
Round 4:
Swarms...Alice is a bit at a loss on this, none of her hexes or spells work here. Unless her allies willingly subject themselves to a fireball that is, but those hurt much more than vermin bites.
Alice Emmington
Battle map won't cooperate with my phone, it repeatedly zooms in maximum.
Round 4
Alice sees an opportunity to nuke as much dog and swarm as she can with a fireball, and then ducks 10ft into the alley to avoid a swarm getting to her.
NW, i think that hits just about 3 swarms. If not, she'll drop the fireball against the western battlefield to burn as many foes as she can.
Fire: 8d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 6, 1, 3, 2, 5) = 27Add 50% vs swarms for 40.
Vandomir Jarvis
Is there anything that isn't swarm for Vandomir to shoot at? The map I see is for an earlier fight. I'm thinking that Vandomir being towards the rear and hurling arrows he's probably not in the swarms though.
If there is anything non-swarm and non-skeleton-ish, Vandomir will gun arrows at it...
Round 4

Damage if that fails?: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10
Jorrast changes to his native form and moves for the door, choking too much to speak. He points to Alice and the burst of fire....
Quince Medvyed
Fort: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35
Round 4
Quince begins to cast a spell and sends a burst of flames toward the enemy dogs and swarms to the northwest. Burning Hands=Orange Cone
Burning Hands: Ref DC 19: 5d4 ⇒ (4, 3, 2, 3, 3) = 15
GM Wolf
Round 4
Zsofia... Jorrast is nauseated and takes a five foot step as the worms assault his body. The hounds continue to bark and howl. Quince steps up and releases a burning hands spell. Vandomir sees that the dogs and zombies are all corpses, fodder or vessels for the swarm. Not seeing any target he can hurt and rushes back into the tunnel.
Fort for Vandomir: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Also Fort for Vandomir con damage: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Xandarian... The flood of worms comes out from the corpses but also from under the barrels. Alice sets off a fireball on the western front and follows Vandomir back into the tunnel. The fireball also hits most of her allies which vaporizes those Quince already hurt.

Naturally i'd aim it where i would not hurt friendlies in friendly fire.

Round 4
"Get back until the fire does its work!" Ulricha shouts, falling back to the tunnel.
Withdraw

Round 4
Xandarian asks Boffy if these worms can e hurt by positive energy.

so after DR 3 that's 7 Damage
Fort save vs Con damage: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 32
A few of the hundreds of biting worms manage to get past her tough skin, drawing blood as she brushes them clear of her body, their attempts to burrow deeper, thwarted by her inhuman resistance.
Xandarian Quartermain
Xandarian helped Lady Zsófia back and away from the vermin swarm. "Time to depart, m'lady!"
Quince Medvyed
Round 5
Quince falls back putting his away.
Withdraw
Round 6
Quince pulls forth his wall of fire wand. As allies with draw he places a wall over and blocking worms.
Gonna wait to see where people fall back to before I place the Round 6 wall.
GM Wolf
With the group fully withdrawing back into the tunnel Quince puts up a wall of fire to stop the worms from approaching.
You are out of rounds and take actions until the duration of the wall is over... it is concentration so it could be a long time. How much time? Also explain how you placed the fire wall.
Markus "Hot Dog" Lyranus
Should have bought that swarmbane clasp! Cuka Blyad! Markus swears a fair bit as he rushes back in before the fire wall goes up
Or learned burning hands He adds
Lessons learned!
Markus "Hot Dog" Lyranus
Doubt it, a group of our weight class should be able to deal with some swarms, its not like they were these effing spell resistant fire resistant Vevascor s%%~s, or hell wasps, these are nasty too.
He pauses
Unless someone has a spare swarm bane clasp, there isnt much I can do against swarms... Can we rig up some improvised explosives? We are loud anyway.
Oi I got an idea!
Markus sprints out of he cave, you hear a crashing noise, he sprints back in carrying a tree
We cover that log in oil, set it on fire, have it roll over the bugs?

"I didn't check, but i hope i got a fair number on those swarms i aimed the fireball at."
Jorrast Feorte
Fort save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
I believe I still needed the fort save since I took damage?
"I hate swarms! Any kind of swarms...." He pulls a wand out and starts healing the areas where he was stung, CLW Wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 and tucks it away with just a tiny rash-like area left.
Quince Medvyed
People have said they are falling back but some are still on the map. Asking for a friend about to cook some worms.
Quince Medvyed
Bright Yellow Line is the wall. Red is the 2d4 zone. Orange is the 1d4 zone.
Wall of Fire within 10 feet: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
Wall of Fire beyond 10 but within 20 feet: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Wall of Fire Passing Through: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 3) + 7 = 16
Ulricha the Unkillable
And swarms take +50% from AoE spells
Markus "Hot Dog" Lyranus
Note, I will not eat ze worms. Even if they are crispy! Having bite attacks does not equal actually eating!
The half orc, no longer large as he is stopped raging (fatigued for 4 turns), says
I ate Vermleck stew as a dare once, had the s&**s for the next 12 nights.
Ulricha the Unkillable
Ulricha takes a few deep breaths as she releases her own rage, waiting for the fire to destroy the disgusting swarms.
Xandarian Quartermain
"Where to now?!" Xandarian asks.
Quince Medvyed
A minute and 10 seconds doesn't seem that long. Is there any sound, sight or other signal that more than cooking worms is going on.
GM Wolf
You hear burning worms, which stops within rounds of when the fire wall goes up. The wall of fire is just in the walking zone so the barrels should be fine. I am envisioning 25 foot tall ceilings in the cellar. The barks and howls of the hounds can still be heard.
Did the last person close the door? Probably not... not stated so it is burning.
As the fire wall blips out you hear the howls and barks stop.
Markus "Hot Dog" Lyranus
damage swarm: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7
Markus has taken a total of 17 fire, 7 swarm and 10 other damage meaning he is down 34 hp
He uses one round, close to when the fire ends to cast shield on himself from his wand, and in the meantime uses his other wand of cure light wounds to heal himself. As cure light wounds is on the spiritualist spell list, he does not need to roll UMD.
clw 8 turns: 8d8 + 8 ⇒ (1, 4, 5, 4, 1, 5, 1, 6) + 8 = 35
Good hope (6 more minutes); Long arm(5 more minutes); shield (one minute)
-1 charge Shield wand
-8 charges CLW wand
-1 level 1 spell used
-2 rounds of rage used
80/82 hp
Markus confidently strides back in, his Sabatons (of course he wears Sabatons, what did any of you expect) crunching crispy worms beneath him.
Ulricha the Unkillable
With a Nat 20 I'd still be 1 short of making that check
Alice Emmington
Perception: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (20) + 19 = 39
As the whole worm swarm encounter ends, and everyone catches a proper breather, Alice hears something.....
"Ehm, team. Something heavy is coming this way still. I hear heavy steps approaching."
Ulricha the Unkillable
Ulricha rolls her shoulders, turning the haft of her axe in her hands as they prepare for whatever is coming. "The stealth approach is clearly over."
Alice Emmington
For as many rounds as time allows, Alice places protective luck upon the frontline fighters, continuously chanting to increase durations.
Starting Marku, Ulricha, Xandarian.
Markus "Hot Dog" Lyranus
ROIGHT SOUNDS LIKE SUM PROPER FOITING! Markus seems... genuinely happy at Alices warning, as he gets read to rage again.
Jorrast Feorte
Jorraste grins at Ulricha's words. "Well, if stealth time is over I think I'll hang back to see what I can do from the back of the group."
Xandarian Quartermain
Whatever happens, I'll cover your escapes", Xandarian said, putting on a brave face.
