Kyra here - has anyone seem Merisial? Did she make it through the Gap.
Kyra IO, what's your Initiative mod?

Ok I need to figure something out…I just found a chronicle for this gameday IX from September but I did not show any session or posts online. But just now I remember I played this on discord. sorry, I need to bow out. :(

Sorry to see you go Lexicor, but better you found out now. I recently accidentally replayed a scenario where I didn't figure it out until the first fight. Very awkward. The GM was great about it though. I played in backseat mode to minimize the disruption in the game, and received no credit for the scenario.

![]() |

My apologies as well but I just read the warning blurb on this scenario so I am out as well. I am looking for some lighter themed games going forward into the new year.

![]() |

Understandable. Take care!

Game Master S |

APL Calculation
Kyra IO: 6
Burnham: 3
K.I.N.A.A.: 3
Twila-5: 3
Average: 3.75 -> 4
Subtier: 3-4 (4 Players)

Game Master S |

Something of a busy weekend. I apologize now if posting is slim between now and Sunday night.

![]() |

And thanks for the flank, Twila. I love the teamwork.
Twila-5 shoots like a storm trooper: terribly, so she needs all the help on attack rolls that she can get. ;)

![]() |

She only had one shot left in it after the last scenario and is too cheap to recharge it until it's fully drained. She does have a backup battery, but I didn't have time to look up how long it takes to switch them out in combat when I was posting.
I've done some looking since then and haven't found it. My intuition says it would be a move action to grab the new battery and a move action to switch batteries. Doesn't seem like good action economy in this situation.

![]() |

You can charge batteries on a Starfinder starship for free, so you should start any mission that doesn't take place on Absalom Station with full batteries.

Game Master S |

Hit the button a second time and laser come out and shoot the crap out of you for your impatience!

![]() |

@Game Master S - When you have a moment I would appreciate it if you could delete me from the game. I am still showing up as an active character. Thanks. :)

![]() |

I am glad I have a lot of AcP with no immediate use for...

![]() |

Even if they had an AcP dump like the skeleton that they added for PF2 and I bought it, I would still have close to 400 left. And I know people with a lot more.
I suspect I am about to use 46 for body recovery, raise dead and 2 restorations, though.

![]() |

Once Twila-5 has a chance to process her thoughts, she's going to feel really guilty for being the first one to charge into that room, hindsight being 20/20 and all.

Game Master S |

While there are no guarantees on success, I'm happy to run something for this team again. If interested, I'll take requests.

![]() |

That would be great, thank you! I'm not well-versed enough in Starfinder to know what to request, though I've got Duskmire Accord in my notes as one that comes well recommended.

![]() |

Twila, I've got a static arc pistol of my own you could borrow if you don't have a spare battery. Can also step into the doorway if you need to clear out.
She has a spare battery, but is more concerned with losing a whole turn grabbing it (move action) and switching them (move action again) than she is about the possible loss of 2 points of damage (1d6 with the static arc pistol vs 1d4 with the azimuth laser pistol). And Burn needs his actions to do other things than draw a weapon and toss it over to her. It's not like her damage rolls have been in the 5-6 range anyway.
This seems like it's supposed to be a tough fight, but the dice roller is making it tougher, especially for Burn.

Game Master S |

So I've run Duskmire Accord 9 a couple of times already, but let's keep trying.
Kyra, still need your RPG Chronicle info (link at the top of the thread.)

Honestly, I'm happy to play another game if you'd prefer. Regardless, thank you very much for offering to continue with this group. I'm really enjoying it. :)

Season 1 Scenarios that I may play with Burn:
1-6 A Night in Nightarch, 1-8 Sanctuary of Drowned Delights, (evergreen 1-12), 1-13 On the Trail of History, 1-14 Star Sugar Heartlove, 1-20 The Duskmire Accord , 1-21 Yesteryear's Sorrow, 1-24 Siege of Enlightenment, 1-25 The Beacon Code Dilemma , 1-26 Truth of the Seeker, 1-28 It Rests Beneath,
It's easier for me to say what I've played in the later seasons. Leaving out specials
Season 2 : 0-3, 7,9, 10,13, 19
Season 3 : 7,15,17
Season 4 is a blank slate.

Game Master S wrote:"Ahusata died in prison as a result of Starfinder cruelty. I would ask... what will you do about it now?"Completely at a loss for a reply, Burn gratefully listens while the more diplomatic party members smooth things over.
Hahaha! Twila-5's CHA modifier is -1, so that's saying something. She's been putting ranks in Diplomacy, though, because you never know when you might end up in a party in which everyone assumes someone else would handle that.
For that reason, I've come to realize that building a character for general SFS and PFS 1/2 requires different considerations than building a character for a consistent group. We need to be more well-rounded in general, because we can't count on having someone else to cover our gaps.

True. It's just more difficult for soldiers to round themselves out because they have so few skill points. Burn's sunk a few skill points into engineering and medicine with an eye to aiding others. A couple points in piloting helped a bunch in a game where he was the only trained pilot. Life science is on the list for future dabbling. He has some intimidate points for social interaction, but I doubt he'll ever use those. He's just never going to be good at those side skills.
It's one reason I do love operatives and envoys.

Game Master S |

01-21 Yesteryear's Sorrow
It's the only one on that list I haven't run.

Game Master S |

Right, 01-21 Yesteryear's Sorrow you said was on your list. I'm down for that. I'll post 3 options total tomorrow, majority wins?

![]() |

Sounds good to me. Here's the list of games I've already played or am currently playing.
B-03 A Green Place
01-12 Ashes of Discovery
02-09 Bluerise Breakout
B-01 The Cantina Job
01-04 Cries from the Drift
01-16 Dreaming of the Future
03-15 Frozen Ambitions: The Preluria Connection
02-15 The Infernal Gallery
04-01 Into the Year of the Data Scourge
3-99 Perils of the Past
05-02 Road to Reconciliation (Duh.)
04-02 Settling Accounts
B-02 Test Flight
01-03 Yesteryear's Truth

For some of my PF1 characters with fewer skill points I would designate one skill point to bounce around wherever I needed it at each level. But that gets hard to justify when the character only has two. Plus, once you get to the middle levels, a one point dip into a skill isn't going to be enough to meet most DCs. So yeah, there are never enough skill points to go around.

Chronicle looks good. Thanks to everyone for a great game, especially S for running! Any grumbling was definitely directed at the scenario and not the people at the table.

![]() |

Chronicle looks good. Thanks for the game, Chris. It was great fun. Thanks to all the players too. That was hugely enjoyable. I hope we can all hop on Yesterday's Sorrows.

Yeah, sorry work got away from me (new job this year.) I'm Dean of Humanities for a REALLY high performing public school. It's a new career stepfor me, so sometimes I DRASTICALLY misjudgment my bandwidth for the day. Give me about 12 hours, and I'll link to a new thread. I'm really looking forward to the next game!
