Looks like if you don't act soon they may bound away!

Zoey takes position on the ridge, and starts targeting the creatures.
Do we roll for initiative?

![]() |

Once the markspersons have drawn a bead and gotten their aim, Sir Feighnswelle begins to slink across the ice toward the nearest arbuk, trying not to spook them.
Not sure starting point is on map, but double move at half-speed.
Stealth: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 3

Game Master S |

I was mostly letting people buff before taking action. Considering that hilarious Stelth check, let's just roll :-) Sir Feighnswelle the pogs are at the extreme top of the map.
One of the yearlings looks up and bolts! It's okay though as two is more than enough for what you need.
Round 1:
Kaath: Go
Ysh'yaal: Go
Arabuks: TBD
Zoey: TBD
Sir Feighnswelle: TBD
Hostiles: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Kaath: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Ysh'yaal: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Zoey: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

![]() |

Kaath will draw his returning star knife and (double) move south east to try and get to the far side to prevent escape.
”The Cosmos may have alerted our quarry to our presence.“
assuming it bolted to the southwest

![]() |

Ysh' moves and to be sure that the creatures doesn't flee away from them concentrates and creates a big illusion of a Starbear! Holographic Image level2
Once it appears, it roars! RRRRRrrrrr!!!!

Game Master S |

Take your turns back. That was a narrative way of me correcting that I messed up on the 4 player adjustment!

![]() |

Zoey lies ready in the snow, aiming the sniper gun at the arubuk and taking a deep breath...
Might as well

Game Master S |

If the party thought their presence would spook the beasts, they were wrong. The arabuks turn to attack. The starbear seems FAR too tough a foe, so they move on the smaller bipeds. That means they come right for you! Their antlers begin to vibrate with an intensity that makes even the air around them blur. One gets close enough to try and gore Ysh'yaal with them!
Antlers: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13, but the attack is easily dodged!
Round 1:
Kaath: Close
Ysh'yaal: Close
Arabuks: ATK
Zoey: Go
Sir Feighnswelle: Go

Game Master S |

Not expecting to be attacked, the arabuk runs right into the junksword!
Round 1:

Damage P: 1d3 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Gain 1 EP; -2 AC

![]() |

Zoey breathes out and takes the shot.
Sniping: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 173d4 ⇒ (3, 1, 1) = 5
It's a good thing these animals are big...

Game Master S |

Zoey, which one are you targeting, blue or white?
Sir Feighnswelle's aim is affected by his sudden charge, and it costs him the hit!
Round 1:
Kaath: Close
Ysh'yaal: Close
Arabuks: ATK
Zoey: Clarification Needed
Sir Feighnswelle: Miss
Round 2:
Kaath: Go
Ysh'yaal: Go

White, I have a clear shot on that one.

![]() |

Kaath is surprised to see the beasts charge rather than flee
”Very well. The cosmos has presented a twist this day. “
He manifests his solar weapon and strikes
solar holy elec crystal weapon: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 for bludgeon: 1d6 + 5 + 1d2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + (2) = 12 holy/elec/stun

Game Master S |

Zoey's shot is true, albeit only a glancing shot.
Unfortunately Kaath is not one with the cosmos, at least in this moment.
Round 2:
Kaath: Miss
Ysh'yaal: Go
Arabuks: TBD
Zoey: TBD
Sir Feighnswelle: TBD
blue: 18
White: 5

Junksword (reach, block, trip) vs KAC: 1d20 + 7 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 7 - 4 = 11
Damages, S&B: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
But she fumbles both her attempt!
shoot!

Game Master S |

After the fumble by Ysh'yaal, the arabuks continue to fight hard.
Antlers v. Ysh': 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 MISS
Antlers v. Kaath: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16 for DMG: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 and Sonic DMG: 1d6 ⇒ 6

With entropic energy at the ready, Sir Feighnswelle tries to bring the beast down.
Melee entropic strike: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Damage A & B: 1d4 + 7 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + 7 + (4) = 12

![]() |

Focus on the right one (blue) guys, I'll get this one!
Sniping: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 53d4 ⇒ (3, 2, 4) = 9
Zoey readies another shot, lining up the crosshairs. She breathes out in the cold snow, causing some snowflakes to fly up. As she pulls she trigger, she sneezes hard.
Aaah - CHEEE!
Move: get'em on blue, standard: shot on white

Game Master S |

This time, Sir Feighnswelle will NOT be denied. The hit is solid, and everyone can quickly tell that the arabuk cannot survive another hit like that!
Unfortunately, Zoey's shot is WAY off as the snowflakes make her sneeze.
Round 3:
Kaath (SP 20/27): Go
Ysh'yaal: Go
Arabuks: TBD
Zoey: TBD
Sir Feighnswelle: TBD
blue: 30
White: 5

![]() |

This time, Ysh' takes her time to aim her attack and strikes at the creature.
Junksword (reach,block,trip) + Get'Em vs KAC: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 1 = 18
Damages, S&B: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
If the strike is enough to drop the arabuk, she moves closer to the next one.

Game Master S |

Ysh's blade cuts a clean line on the arabuk's neck, dropping the future meal in the ice and snow. She then moves closer to the second!
Round 3:
Kaath (SP 20/27): Go
Ysh'yaal: Kill (Go ahead and move.)
Arabuks: TBD
Zoey: TBD
Sir Feighnswelle: TBD

solar holy elec crystal weapon: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 for bludgeon: 1d6 + 5 + 1d2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + (1) = 11 holy/elec/stun
the cosmos continues to frown on the solarian. Although an 8 is his best attack roll yet! :)

Game Master S |

The cosmos has indeed not been kind.
Kaath comes ever closer, this time missing with just a hair's breadth of space between weapon and target.
the arabuk continues its counter against the solarian:
Antlers: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12, but perhaps the Cosmos has Kaath's back afterall!
Round 3:
Kaath (SP 20/27): Miss
Ysh'yaal: Kill (Go ahead and move.)
Arabuks: ATK
Zoey: Go
Sir Feighnswelle: Go

Ok, ok, I'll get it right this time. Just stay still... staaaay still...

![]() |

"Do we need more than then one?" Sir Feighnswelle inquires. He flops over towards the others to protect the others still contending with an arabuk.
Double move; 1 EP

Game Master S |

Since they're only yearlings, you'll need both arabuks.
Zoey's mouth is sharper than her aim, and she misses. Meanwhile the large Sir Feighnswelle closes a lot of distance on the double!
Round 4:
Kaath (SP 20/27): Go
Ysh'yaal: Go
Arabuks: TBD
Zoey: TBD
Sir Feighnswelle: TBD

Game Master S |

Kaath finally finds harmony and connects in the moment before Ysh' does too. The creature is on death's door, but this species is not known for its wisdom, and it fights on!
It turns on Ysh' and tries to slam its vibrating antlers into her:
Antlers: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 for DMG: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 and Sonic: 1d6 ⇒ 3!
Round 4:

![]() |

Drop the Arabuk! Zoey shouts.
I realized I forgot my Get'em

Game Master S |

Ysh's opening swing isn't enough, but the follow up connects and drops the animal!
You've got the meat, only leaving the herbs. A simple Life Science and/or Survival check will work here.

![]() |

Having no formal training, Sir Financial sniffs around for the herbs, pointing the others to where he hopes some herbs may be found.
Survival (Aid Another): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

![]() |

Zoey hopes the cosmos has some good herbs to spice things up
