OK. Not used to XP/GP rewards then. My last chronicle awarded 4 XP and 22gp at 2nd level, so I just figured that since 1 XP chronicles tended to award about 1/4 the gold as 4 XP chronicles it was a mistake.

This is likely to always be the only adventure that gives lopsided rewards.

The blog post talked about making the rewards proportional to the length of the adventure. It should be about 1 xp per hour and the other rewards scale with the XP.

Thanks Bret! Indeed this is an oddball one for rewards as it was one of the first early adventures. All of the follow on ones are at the correct rewards.

Does that mean we should earn downtime income?

Yup, 8 days. I took mine as lessons in a language via Off-Hours Study.

Just so I have the roll recorded, here's the downtime roll for the character getting credit for this:

Crafting check to earn income for Aeinquel: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

I think that's 32 sp total, since he's second level, but since I've always tanked my earn income rolls I'm not sure how to handle a success -_-.

That is indeed a success. At 2nd level that is a Task level 0 for 0.40 GP.

Lessons in a language? How does that work?

How do you do a down time roll for a pre-gen? Use the skill from the character getting the chronicle? If so then

legal lore: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Off-Hours Study requires that you be liked by the Grand Lodge, buy the boon, and dedicate 50 days downtime in order to get a new common language or a lore skill.

You do the Earn Income based on the character you are applying the credit to.

So my success at trained/level 1 would be level-2, or 0, I guess, since there is no level -1, which would be 40 cp, right?

Assuming you are applying it to a level 1 character, yes.

That is correct. Task Level 0 which is DC 14 for 0.40 GP.

One extremely basic question: according to the Guide, my "My Organized Play" page should list character Reputation. It does this for SFS characters, but not PFS2e characters--they still have Fame listed. Does Fame=Reputation?
