Athletics DC 10: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Owlbear takes another wild swing, but by this time, you've started to predict his movements. It's easily dodged.

brutal strike: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
damage: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Did I piss off Gorrum by talking to much in battle?

Ragnhild ponders as her strikes become less effective.

The massive man doesn't really understand the concept of 'dodging,' it seems. Apparently his strategy is to either bludgeon his opponents unconscious or wait for them to get tired.
Athletics DC 10: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Now that you've figured out his tendencies, Owlbear's really quite easy to dodge. He's slow and clumsy, after all. Out of the corner of your eye, you can see Plugg becoming visibly annoyed. He mutters something to Scourge and stalks away.

Owlbear: 18pts nonlethal damage, battered

BOOOZE FOR GORRUM!
Ragnhild shouts the Training fight cry of Gorrumites everywhere.

brutal strike: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
damge: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

A worthy if mistreated warrior if he is still up after this, perhaps I can reforge him.
Ragnhilds golden eyes show a fair bit of respect for her adversary.

And another fortsave for him I guess

Fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
You strike Owlbear again, knocking him back a step. The man's visibly injured at this point, and it doesn't appear there's much fight left in him. As he recovers, Plugg returns, carrying a club. "Hey, idiot!" he yells, "Hurry up and smash her already!" He promptly throws the club at Owlbear.

You're up again.

"Is it true that there is no honor amongst thieves?" Zenj'ya cries. "For shame!" Clasping his hands together, there is the smell of ozone. As he pulls them apart, a quarterstaff becomes visible. He holds it out to Ragnhild, but doesn't insist she take it. After all he didn't want to injure her pride. He continues, "Agreements are to be followed. If our word is not to be trusted, we are no more than animals. Grave punishment follows those that lie."

He thinks back to his actions earlier in the day with the quartermaster. A twinge of guilt washes over him. How easily he had compromised his own morals for the sake of convenience. Next thing you know, he'd be eating meat.

Ragnhild keps striking him

Ragnhild lands another punch on Owlbear, and then smashes him again as he bends down to pick up the club. This second blow knocks the big man to his knees, where he starts bawling like a young child. Both Plugg and Scourge look furious, and the latter begins cracking his whip at him. "Get up, you stupid animal! Finish the fight, or you'll go back on the leash!"

Interfering in a duel risks the wroth of the Lord in Iron, especially if one of his followers is concerned. Lady Besmaras as well, given how duels are one of her areas of concern and we are in her domain.

She matter of factly informs Scourge, while seeking to put Owlbear in a rear choke to essentially KO him without doing more damage to him.
Shhh, just go to sleep She whispers to Owlbear as she tries to stop the bloodflow into his brain, it almost looks as if she cradles him.

After a few seconds, Owlbear goes limp. Ragnhild's won, and more than a few of the watching crew members seem quite impressed. Others, however, look displeased - and not always because they'd been rooting for Owlbear.

As for Plugg and Scourge, they look absolutely furious. Plugg storms off without a word, while Scourge and Fipps drag Owlbear back into the armory, paying no attention to his injuries. After an awkward silence, people resume their regular duties. On a positive note, the Bloody Hour appears to have been forgotten.

As usual, everyone gets an evening activity.

Ragnhild walks by Sandara to chat a bit

Was a fun fight, I dont mind taking hits in fair combat, until well...
Interfering in a duel? And dont they get what a risk they take with that Owlbear Child-Man? They are breaking his mind, and a broken mind can easily be controlled by opponents. Any opponent who can use fear directly could leave him catatonic and combat incapable, any opponent like a Succubus or Incubus would almost instantly get him to turn on Scourge in particular.
At this point she notices (perhaps) Fibbs and Scourge leaving the armory and motions she would like some backup when going there.
If other PCs want to join then sure feel free.

Actual night action: wait until Scourge and Fibbs leave the armory area, go there with Sandara and heal Owlbear using my healing song performance, healing myself as well.

influence Owlbear: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

how I could see it going:

F&++ Says Ragnhild to Sandara as she looks at owlbear
At least half of the fresh bruises are from place I never hit him in. She strides towards him, seeing him curl up as if expecting more pain.
Instead she sings a Kellid Lullaby, slowly healing herself and Owlbear (as well as Sandara if she has taken any damage) for 7 hp total.

She is concerned for a moment as the large man awkwardly hugs her and cries, childlike.
A child on the body of a man She says as she soothes him, holding him. If you are a child, you can grow up, and become a man. Can you speak? Humm my Lullaby along, it will help you with healing.

Just a reminder that both the quartermaster store and armory are inaccessible during the evening. Unless you break in, of course. XD

Female Humam Barbarian(Rage Prophet)1/Bard 1 Gestalt AC15/14/11 HP14/14 Fort:4/Ref:3/will2 Ini:3 CMD15 CMB4

Female Humam Barbarian(Rage Prophet)1/Bard 1 Gestalt AC15/14/11 HP14/14 Fort:4/Ref:3/will2 Ini:3 CMD15 CMB4

Can I use the roll to influence someone else instead?

I guess this Breaker Bones guy may be sufficiently impressed.

So your nickname is "Breaker Bones"? Rather descriptive. I do approve of strength and axes, and you seem to have 2 out of 2 for that.

Ragnhild uses a Gorrumite pickup line.

Owlbear's inside the armory unless otherwise stated.

Ragnhild
Breaker chuckles, "You are quite formidable, yourself. Nulgreth would be pleased, although it would have been better if you'd finished the fight the way you started. What made you switch tactics?"

Kn religion: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

I know little of your peoples Gods, other then obviously my Lord Gorrum whom my and your people share. She pauses
I felt great rage at the interference in the duel, and you likely know how it goes, it would have been Owlbear who would have received my wroth because I was fighting him and my rage powers me.
Had I kept striking, I could have gone into a full frenzy and maimed or killed him, thus disobeying the Captain. Choking him out was safer for me. For him as well, ill trained and equipped he may be, he is an asset.

Ragnhild kind of becomes more intimidating and barbarian then I originally meant her to be.

Zenj'ya will complete his decursing of the ship by dropping a fake estoc off the edge. Then he will settle in for what he feels is a deserved well rest. He will spend some time relaxing in his dreamscape, although it is beginning to get a little bit cluttered with all of the things he's stored in it. Then he will start bringing people in.

Jaccques:

The now-familiar room seems cluttered. Lying on the table that Zenj'ya sits at is your Grandam's estoc. "Observe friend. I have retrieved your weapon for you." Zenj'ya seems somewhat troubled. "I had to break my personal code to fetch it; I do not lie. I fear that this may result in greater slippage, these rules may seem arbitrary, but they keep me in check." He takes a sip of tea. "Let us discuss something more pleasant. Do you have anyone else that should be brought into our inner fold?"

Raginhild:

The now-familiar room seems cluttered, Zenj'ya himself is pressed between two large maces. Nevertheless, the empty seat across him at the table is kept clean so that his guests may enjoy themselves properly. "Thank you for saving me from those rats," Zenj'ya says. "You fight very well. Do you have any other information that could be useful for our little coup d'état? Or perhaps other members that might be willing to join us?"

In the aftermath of the fight, Jacques sidles up to Bonny Blades, who he thinks seemed to enjoy seeing Plugg getting embarrassed by his "pet"'s defeat. "I do suspect Master Plugg is becoming desperate, to resort to such blatantly unfair tactics against Raginhild, no?" He gives her a sideways look. "You wouldn't put up with that if it were you in the circle, way?"

Influence: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Later...

Zenj'ya:
Jacques accepts the weapon with a nod and the ghost of a smile. "I am in your debt, bonhamie. This weapon was left to me by my granddam; it is how I learned to fight. Her spirit guides me through it. I have been naked without it."

He shrugs at Zenj'ya's admission of lying. "It matters not to me, the truth is what you make it. Perhaps in fact you did save the ship from a terrible curse. If my weapon was not returned to me, I would have done everything in my power to harm those who kept it, and my magic can be terrible when I am roused. You should not fight yourself about it."

A look of annoyance crosses his face when Zenj'ya asks about his attempts to influence crew members. "I have twice attempted to convince Shivikah to join our cause, but I cannot seem to break through her guard. Perhaps Bonny Blades will be more willing to listen. Raginhild was going to speak with Owlbear after their fight, which I may have helped by cowing him during their conflict. We shall see."

Dream:

I believe I have made some inroads with 2 of their number. Breaker Bones is no longer hostile, Bonny Blades has warmed up to me.
Judging by the gods he refers to, the former is a dangerous man, the later a bit of an air head. I believe I can bring Owlbear into the fold if I would manage to talk to him for a bit. He is a child in mind, and his mind I shal strenghten.

Plugg has earned my enmnity, such blatant interference in a duel can not be permitted, we should alas keep biding our time. Plugg and Scourge will keep making mistakes, hopefully more then we do. She pauses, thinking of her mistake with the 2 dueling pirates.

Jacques
Bonnie laughs. "I'd never be in the circle in the first place. Don't have the build for that sort of close-in fighting." She produces a dagger from somewhere and absently twirls it between her fingers. "Keeping one's distance is so much safer in a fight." She eyes you appraisingly. "You're kind of creepy, but I imagine you already know that. Why aren't you hanging out with Syl? You seem like her type."

Shivikah's one of the more difficult ones to befriend, by the way. It's very possible, but it typically takes more than just conversation to make her open up. Certain members of the crew (like Rosie and Giffer) have mini-quests that are required to fully win them over. XD
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ragnhild
Breaker grunts. "Fair enough. Gettin' on the Captain's bad side is a good way to end your life."

Female Humam Barbarian(Rage Prophet)1/Bard 1 Gestalt AC15/14/11 HP14/14 Fort:4/Ref:3/will2 Ini:3 CMD15 CMB4

Next day I guess?

Jacques nods at Bonnie pleasantly, which is difficult considering the obvious chip he carries on his shoulder, but he manages not to look quite so menacing in the cheery post-duel atmosphere. "I am everyone's type," he says after a moment's thought. "Everyone who hates their current situation on this ship, that is. We are trapped under the boot of petty tyrants, who must be stopped for the benefit of all of the crew."
