I'm here, although I've been busy with xmas/end of year stuff.

![]() |

Sorry. Was playing Santa, then came down with COVID. Coherent enough for simple posts again. Had to sit out the last 5 days of the season in isolation. Yep. Includes today.
Whoever gave you Covid is definitely getting coal for Christmas...
Get well soon!

Brandark Ironhame |

Get well soon.
Sorry I haven't been on.
Got tied up with family obligations, and then christmas.
I should be back now.

Oh Perri, I came down with Covid on the 23rd. Had to listen to my 3 little ones finding their gifts from the isolation of my bedroom.
-_- Sad.
I am not fully recovered but well enough to check in. I'll check gameplay over the next 2 days for all my games and will try to get a post in where needed.

THAT sucks really bad. I'm sorry you had to do Christmas with your own children by proxy.

Miron Belodor |

I am back, was travelling for two days and then had three days of seeing various families. Have some breathing room now.
Hope everyone gets better.

I'm so sorry you were sick during Christmas, Roya. I wish you a swift recovery.
May your three little ones ask you to join them and play with their new toys soon enough :)

Fun side note, for Christmas I went ahead and found and purchased the 2nd & 3rd module for the Price of Immortality trilogy. It looks like this is going to be a fun time!
Since my kids are finally back in school, seemed like Christmas break was 2 months long, I am going to be getting back into the routine of posting every morning. Please be active as we continue exploring the tomb of Kassen

Brandark Ironhame |

And rejoicing was heard across the forum of our game.
Posting rate but biggest joy the extra modules. :)

Miron Belodor |

I'll be travelling for the next couple of days, so I may be less active, but I will be home at the end of it, so I should be back to normal.

Hey all!
Quick update on Roya. I did reach out and she let me know that she fell back under the weather again. I told her to rest up and take care of herself and not to worry about the game and that I would bot Roya until she is ready to come back. I say this so that you guys won't try to do any scenes with her and sit waiting for a response.
Let me know what you guys would like to do in this room and I can plan from there.

Joras Iggins |

do we actually know that the corridors join up? it's better than going down the trapped corridor
The stairs to the east might link up with the corridor near Roldare but, even if so, that goes through the room with the beetle. On the other hand that might well be better than going through the trapped corridor. And has the advantage of two birds one stone, but a hazard to a hurt party either way. I'll leave the choice to the bigger heroes in our party.

Trying to bring a scared man to a safer spot, you don't do that by taking him through unknown spaces . . ..
And you don't go picking fights at less than half strength, either.

Joras Iggins |

All good points but there are few good options: safest seems to be to rest in place in the food laden room, if the situation does not change. Less safe but more active is one of two choices: is braving twice the trapped corridor, assuming it is not already disarmed, which it may or may not be, any better then fighting the beetle?
As to Roldare, is the possible shorter way unknown to him? And braving the traps could be as bad or worse for him. On the other hand maybe he knows how to deactivate the traps. Logically someone in the advance party would have to know so they could do their work.
In any case Joras and I are respectively giving opinions, how you act is up to you, as always.

Miron Belodor |

Oh, I forgot that the traps may not have reset. Yeah, if the swords are still down, then definitely go get him that way.

Roya Tani |

Hej, apologies for going missing again. I suffered some after-effects or a cross-infection, no idea, I was better for 2-3 days, then got a lot worse again for another week.
I'm currently in the process of catching up and hope to post later today. Apologies for the bad attendance record in the past 2 weeks :(
Was not by choice, I assure you.
Also thanks a lot for all the well-wishes :D Much appreciated.

Dm Joseph Rauel |

Hey Roya! As always real life takes priority, I am glad you are feeling better and getting back to life. This is just a silly game and there are lots of things that get backed up in the real world when we are sick. Be sure to come back to us when you are 100% ready, they could use the healer! lol.
To the party I just want everyone to remember (Easy INT check) that Roldare fought the idea of leaving the chamber he was in until his sister was brought to him. That being said the party can try to get him to leave by mechanical means or by brute force.
It is up to you, but I just wanted to through out that little nugget of truth that you would all remember. It was only yesterday in game.

Brandark Ironhame |

I apologize, having to move and toss a lot of stuff from the house.
Youngest kids friend brought in bedbugs, and never let us know.
Will be spending the next few days after work cleaning and moving stuff for the exterminator.
UGG, just the thing we needed. :(

Joras Iggins |

Lots of bad luck there Roya and Brandark, hope everything goes well in fixing and recovery. Makes my conjunctivitis seems quite small in comparison. I am under treatment and it does not seem serious, it's the non-contagious version, but I might be a little slower in quality posting.

Will get something else up tomorrow, got to start a claim for my sons getting into a collision with 2 of my vehicles.
1st son, got brake checked - Able to stop in time. (new jeep)
2nd son - Unable to stop in time. hit the back of my jeep. (old ram pick up)
If it don't rain, it pours. Just cannot catch a break. :(

They have to be doing this on purpose...
Good luck!

Thank you. But
It seems to me that the purpose is for me to spend money that I don't have. :(

Sometimes these discussion channels seem to exist only to remind me how relatively calm my life is at this point.
Remember this old statement is a Chinese CURSE: May you live in interesting times.
I'm sorry your current life is an interesting story.

Hi! So, since the relation between Conrad and Perri has reached a point where it's getting tense, I thought it might be best to pop a quick post to fully separate my thoughts on the matter from my character's -because it's much harder to agree on character conflicts on a forum with unknown people than in real life, around a table.
Mostly, I just wanted to make it very clear that although Conrad has anger issues (that's one of the things he's been trying to get rid of), I am absolutely against PvP- and if I think some stuff might make him angry, then that anger's going to get expressed without provoking a fight. If you want a kind of non-lethal fighting contest scene, Perri, I'll never start one before we've both agreed on writing one if it makes sense within the story (or to have fun).
Also, just because Conrad may feel resentment/anger/jealousy towards Perri doesn't mean he won't help him out, because this is a cooperative game, and refusing to help other players out on purpose because "my character would be angry at you" truly sucks.
And lastly- whatever he feels, I don't. It can be fun to play conflicts between characters, but I'll never have conflicts with another player.
Maybe this was all too obvious to even write down, but I once saw a rivalry between two characters devolve into full-on PvP on this forum, because apparently the players had become genuinely pissed off at each other. So, until Perri and Conrad reconcile, I thought it best to make my position very clear early on :)

Low stress. Perri has the feats he does specifically to prevent lethal interactions with other people from home. The guy charged with keeping the peace would rather disarm, stop, and embarrass you than kill you. <grin>
But, you know, other than the unlucky save dropping Perri, there was no chance this was going to go anywhere but where it has.

DM Joseph Rauel wrote:. One more thing you notice is that there is no wedding ring on his hand, no family left behind. That's harsh! What if he's got living parents, siblings or friends?
You're right, I was only thinking of descendants or leaving a widow behind.
Sorry, was gone over the weekend - should probably have said something.
It's all good. Weekends aren't mandatory and when I saw that your character couldn't get into the action this turn without moving next to the beetle I figured it would be okay to bot you moving forward and drawing your bow.
Side-note for all - if there is every anything I do when I bot your PC please let me know and we can retcon it. Also, have faith that I am not going to intentionally put you in harms way. Now if a creature rolls 1 lower than max damage on a breath weapon I have zero control over that...
Finally: Conrad/Perri - I love that you guys are having this convo in the discussion. Conrad, it might be "all too obvious," but it never hurts to share when there are differences between a player and their PC. Great job talking things out.

Brandark Ironhame |

Please continue to bot as needed.

I would rather see things like this discussed.
It saves things falling apart due to players getting upset and quitting

Brandark Ironhame |

If you see this more than once, I am spamming all my games I am in.
Next 4 days will be haphazard, but I will do my best to get a post in.
Still removing stuff and reorganizing so that the final treatment for those damned bugs is successful. (So much thrown out.)
In the middle of that, I ended up spraining my ankle, making it more difficult.
Once again, I apologize for my lack of posting, but I should be back up to posting full speed near the end of the month.

Hej, just to let you know: My most recent(and likely final) little one arrived a few days ago - been spending most of the last few days either in the hospital or taking care of the other young-ones.
Everybody is healthy and well, and today brought him home from the hospital. There's a few more errands to run with bureaucracy(registration of birth, naming, etc) and with work (for time off etc), but overall, I should be able to return to normal posting soon. I'll try and get caught up asap and get a post up where I'm up.
But it seems this time around I had ok timing with being missing? :D

Roya Tani |

Haha, all that, and Perri and I seem to share another game :)
Thanks all for the congratulations.
Currently, grandparents, aunts and uncles are visiting one after another to check in on the little one, so things remain a bit more busy than I anticipated/hoped for, but there's only to many relatives that can come visit so eventually there will be some 'calm' again :D

Brandark Ironhame |

I am currently back in the safe room, grabbing 40 winks.
