Not immediately relevant, but don't you suffer the WORSE of your Armor ACP or the ACP imposed by your encumbrance? Standard rules for applying modifiers of the same type?

In terms of 'overthinking' stuff or not, I guess as long as we stick to a solution that works, it's okay? Characters don't have to go for the most efficient way to do something 100% of the time, and there's always a bit of leeway within RPGs for errors/inefficient strategies

Remember we're kids facing an unexpected and serious crisis with slaughtered people around. Overdoing things and being otherwise less than optimal is totally in character.

Aye. As long as we don't have to do that Stephen King thing to get out of here again, I'm totally game for overdoing things as a group of kids facing (and dealing with) a supernatural and unexpected threat.

Sorry I have not been on. Twisted my back wrong and just spent yesterday at the hospital.

Still really sore. but I should have something up by friday.

The group proceeds through this chamber and finds many more traps that spring open when your broom, spear, or polearm crosses it. (Opened pit marked with an O) The group also discovers two more switches around the room that are identical to the first one the group found. (Switches marked with a S)

Brandark, we do have all 3 switches we need. Just not sure if we want to go forward there, yet, without at least checking the other room. We COULD probably block the door as Perri suggested, but that still feels exposed if we don't know what might come from our back -

Only Joras picked up on the suggestion to check the other room - so it seems the majority wants to progress here, and we do the switches.

Also, as a suggestion, you may want to link the current map at the top, with marching order and guard shifts.

That way there is a fixed spot from where to jump to the map(and you don't have to post repeatedly), and in the overview of active campaigns, I can enter the map, then jump to the new posts, with only 2 clicks, rather than search for the link.

Added the tomb map to both locations. Great idea! Always feel free to offer suggestions.

Hey just so everyone knows with Thanksgiving in America, those state sides might be busy. I am one of those people. I will be posting now, but might not be able to again until Saturday.

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all. I understand that with the Holiday Season upon us posting may become a bit spotty for a while. Happens every year so enjoy everyone we'll take it a day at a time.

Family's letting me off. No big feast this year.

Still making Alton Brown's Green Bean casserole and a tart cherry pie. Daughter asked for A green bean casserole, and if I'm not making everything else, I figure I could give her better than the condensed soup monstrosity. Blanched the beans and made the "fried" (baked) onions already.

But the (actually requested) entree is grilled ham and cheese!

Sourdough, muenster, Havarti, and honey ham. Provolone instead of Havarti for my wife because she doesn't like Havarti for some reason. And white American cheese for the grandkids. Picked up enough ham for about 1/4 pound per adult sandwich, half that for the grandkids.

Nearly time for the youngest's nap. During the nap her brother will help me with the pie filling. I'm a little concerned about how long that might take, but we will have hours to do what is normally about 30 minutes, so, it shouldn't ACTUALLY be a problem. Might get frustrating. <grin> After she wakes up, I'll worry about finishing the casserole and making the sandwiches.

No big feast for me this year either. Thanks giving is gone and past for me. (Canada)

Aye, I think we talked about it but said we won't really have need for a marching order until this road trip turns into something serious.
I'm good with Brandarks suggestion.

It was mostly like, yeah, Roya wants to 'prove' that she is grown-up enough for this journey - but she's still scared and well aware others in the group are more martially skilled.
Just doesn't feel right for her to be at the frontline, thats why I brought it up...she'll happily hide behind the others(while doing her best to help and keep everybody alive.)

I agree that neither Roya or Joras should be in the front line if at all possible because they can't really do much in the way of melee combat and they are the only healers in the group. I'm also good with Brandark marching order.

This week has been busy and I'm off to the other Thanksgiving dinner today (families are complicated).

I changed it to where anyone with the link can edit it. You should be able to move things now.

A few options at this door. Disable Device, kick the door in, is what's on the other side something you can speak to? Also, there are two routes that the party could head west with.

Disable Device is a trained only skill and I don't think any of us has trained in the skill, so bashing, talking, and trying to go around are the only options.

Yeah, that is one issue I did see when I decided to have two tables. Only one would have Disable Device. I really only made the above post because we needed someone to take charge and make a decision about what to do next. lol.

I don't know about all of that. If it wasn't for the crit the door would still be standing.

Just wanted to share a little bit of info with the table. Any day now my wife is expecting to deliver our 3rd child. His due date on Dec 4th. This might change the consistency of when throughout the day I post, but with the dungeon crawl we are in I do not expect to miss a posting vs a city based RP scenes. Thanks for any grace you show while the timing of postings might, and probably will, change.

By all means, take the time you need(also for #1 and #2), you'll find the lot of us in general are very accepting if given notice :)

Conrad, are you doing this from the top of the platform or are you moving towards the statue? When you all post an action, please move your tokens on the map to match up where your character would be.

Conrad's head feels more and more funny, but he can't let Perri face the statue on his own. He draws his flail and attacks the thing. Draw Weapon, 5 ft step, Attack

With your 5-ft step you're still 5-ft away from the wooden statue, does something give you reach that I don't see?
