Can we move the sarcophagus. If we can we could move the sarcophagus to block the crevice.

oh, is that all.... I thought throwing the piece of the lid it the crack would be good, but since moving the sarcophagus is only one hundred... :)

Well, we'll want to find whoever designed that.
I mean, a Ancient Wyrm couldn't move that thing.
You blow raspberries at him, hide behind it and watch him smash into it like Wile E. Coyote chasing a Roadrunner not realizing he won't be able to break through your cover.

Igar you good if we take a surprise action and roll init?

A surprise round is not possible as they are aware of your presence. I roll initiative at the beginning of each encounter for everyone.

Works for me :)

Good. I expect you to have fun despite my presence.

Most well-optimized burst characters maintain that capability for a large part of their career.

And how were those famous last words of the wizard? "I'm sure there's something in the rules about not being able to disintegrate yourself, here, I'll proof it."

Most of my Bloordragers have it at level 1, then kind of loose it at 4ish, pick it back up once their iterative happens, and then lose it at level 7 because mirror image.

Edit: I think I am getting the hang of writing Ardran in a fun way, or at least I hope I do.

You accidentally reduced your token rather then moving it, I restored its size for you.

I am helpfull am I not?

Also, what should Ardran sing as:

1: Sabaton
2: Attack on Titan Covers
3: One man red army choir

Combinations are totally valid, Long suffering GM gets a vote too!

Hmmm, satisfyingly Morana picked up on the line. But Sadly Ardran, I don't know any of those bands. I will have to go listen to them and get back with you.

I'm a big fan of quality electric guitar work, whether: Jazz, Blues, punk, Rock or metal. Even some Country western (but I've not heard much....). Do you have a recommendation where to start?

Edit: Sabaton's 'to hell and back' is quite fun,

Some how I totally missed this. Sorry about that Igar, I will read better next time.

It looks like that even if I missed the roll the shaken would not have changed the outcome. Should I go ahead and roll it? Doom iss one minute a level.

Oh, Sabaton and Sabaton covers yay!

Sabaton gets covered a lot, and also into different languages, which I am to use to the max depending on wether Ardran feels like singing in Common=English or f.e. Abyssal=Russian

For example, English night witches
Russian
Russian version

Tapok (Russian Cover guy) is a pretty fun guy, Sabaton liked his covers enough that they toured with him, and later covered him back. If you ever wanted to know how Nirvana, Linkin Park etc. would sound in Russian (spoiler, pretty good) hes your pick.

I can kind of do the same with Rammstein (German for common and Russian for Abyssal, but then I dont think you guys speak German?).

Attack on Titan isnt a band but a fairly famous Anime, with a pretty good soundtrack.
My favorite cover is probably Epica Crimson bow and arrow from the symphonic metal band Epica.

Although Ardran practically needs alter voice to sing at that height.

I could also play up the tribal aspect and go with Heilung which is a band that literally sings in Norse, Protogermanic etc. and plays on actual bones, but they dont have such an extensive discography.

Just on a side note: I fully expected you guys to check the creatures and room, but as Wulfgar said, I'd expect more of the creatures around, and wanted to cover the likely entrance point.
Was not intended to make you hurry.

Und warum sollten wir kein Deutsch verstehen? Ist doch ne gängige Sprache. Meiner Erfahrung nach zumindest verbreiteter auf dem Bord als z.b. Russisch.

Show off....

Sadly, I only speak English, and that not well. But for what it's worth I have two daughters, one is bilingual, the other trilingual and her master's degree is in teaching English as a second language. So at least my children are doing better than me. And isn't that the hope of all parents?

I hadn't thought about it much, but with a list of Rules commandments, does that make Ardran this guy?

I mean, lets pretend you are Nocticula.
You probably have a bunch of followers from the "relatively low wis relatively high CHA" bracket, who will also be highly chaotic and, opportunistically, at best, attached to reality.

So, in the absence of reality TV, how do you educate your murderhobos into not dying randomly for no reason? Maybe via, mildly humorous commandments, aimed at instilling the fear of being uncool via becoming the reason for another humorous commandment?

I mean, I did watch over teenagers as a sidejob during my studies.

I used the "N commandments", and after I wrote down
"Thee shall not drink denaturated alcohol, if thee cannot sneak booze past me, thee aret unfit to get drunk."
they actually became fairly "obedient for teenagers", as in they pretended to listen to me and I pretended to control them.

Nocticula? Goddess of artists, midnight and exiles? Hmmmm which is Ardran, an artist I assume? As a fine arts major in college and someone who worked eight years on third shift, I'd say I fit two out of three; three out of three if it counts that I've not lived in the state I was born in for fifty-eight years :)

mmmm watch over teenagers, nice.

I spent eight years working at a treatment facility for 'at risk youth,' most of it on third shift. That's when I started to play here on the boards. We could do stuff to occupy ourselves to help stay awake, but anything with sound made it hard to hear if the youths were moving about. So I started reading what was going on in modern Table top RPG's and eventually started playing.

Well, Whimsy is a subdomain :)

He and most of his is actually worshipping her Demon Lord incarnation, but is of the opinion that she is also the redeemer queen.

The specific belief is kind of "I must study murder so my children may study art".

Disguise wrote:

Taking 20 means you try something over and over until you get it right.

But with disguise, it seems by definition you can't be sure if you got it perfectly.(as in, you may get that "20" at some point, then fix your disguise some more and ruin it.)

All true, Farod. And why a disguise? I think he is just reinforcing his lack of sanity.

That statement by me is long overdue. More than ready to end this on my part. It is nothing but frustration which I did not sign up for.

Target description for mage hand, but honestly, I think that is jank.

--RAW you could check if any object weighing less then 5 lbs is actually an object, by trying to move it with mage hand
--And also if any object is magical, by checking if mage hand works on it.

Imho, a critter that looks like an object, and want to bamboozle characters into thinking its an object should be an object, other then maybe for mending.

For reference, i was partly magehanding it so that the statue it was on doesnt fall down on me, which is a reasonable precaution after the shelf a floor down. :).

Exactly as Ardran said:

Mage Hand wrote:

School transmutation; Level bard 0, magus 0, psychic 0, sorcerer/wizard 0, summoner/unchained summoner 0

CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
EFFECT
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one non-magical, unattended object weighing up to 5 lbs.

That's what I'm quoting.

Mostly it's an interesting precedent if animated objects count as unattended (instead of or in addition to being a creature), as several spells work on unattended objects differently.
What exactly annoys you here, I fail to understand.
It was not intended to frustrate you, just trying to wrap my head around what happened so I can remember for the future.

Igar The Terrible wrote:

So Sad, the point is for all of us to be having fun.

Any questions on my part were to develop a feel for playing style, not to frustrate. I will admit that my learning style does involve discussion which includes asking questions, but I try to do it without being frustrating.

But, if the game is that frustrating this early on, maybe we should end it now instead of later.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 12 / T: 10 / FF: 10 | Fort: +2, Ref: +4, Will: +0 | CMB: 2, CMD: 14 | Init: +4, Perception: +5(+1 versus Traps) Low-light Vision

Well, Wulfgar, I seem to have been the trouble-maker this time around.
But I certainly did not intend to offend.

But same as Wulfgar, and especially for a RAW game, I feel it is imperative to understand GM interpretation of aspects - and that only comes with (annoying) questions.
I am not certain just interpreting or assuming would be preferable in the long run.
Either way, my apologies for causing frustration. That said, we should all have fun. If that is not the case, then we missed the goal post. So as he said, if this table is nothing but trouble for you - well...

I believe I can solve that one - he intends to pick up the Feat Phantom Ally - I think at Level 3 - that would push his effective fractured mind level to the listed numbers for the phantom.

It's basically Boon Companion for Phantoms.

No worries. But is the amount of Bourbon you can safely digest sufficient for the game, or not?
