I'm confused? Did the wall of force go down? Or did the Web somehow pass through it?

GM 7thGate |

Bah, I missed that in the description didn't I. I got distracted trying to get the web drawn on the map after deleting the wall and forgot to include it in the turn writeup. The wall ran out of duration, it went up on her turn on turn 37 and she's CL 9, so it fades just before her turn on turn 46.
The wall of force faded out of existence just before the Blackfire Adept cast the web spell, its magic running out.

![]() |

RogjamedA pleased feeling the Force wall fades. Her eyes blackened and air around becomes dusty for a moment. The ratfolk is going to destroy conjurers skeleton structure with Boneshaker also trying to move her at her own web...
Boneshaker, Fort DC 22 to half dmg and avoid moving: 6d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 2, 3, 5, 6) = 24
Despite the outcome, RogjamedA utilise Fervor Blessing to improve defences.

GM 7thGate |

Rogjameda tries to cast on the Blackfire Adept, but finds that there are too many webs in the way to get a lock on her target.
She currently has Total Cover due to having 20 or more feet of webbing between the two of you. You can go with a different action if you want for the turn.

![]() |
Is it possible for Metalwhiz to reach 10' through the web and drag the Xill corpse next to our resident necromancer?
Reflex save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

GM 7thGate |

Yes on dragging the Xill corpse. You're grappled, so can do things that use 1 hand but otherwise can't move.
Fortitude: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Rogjameda hears muffled screaming from the far side of the webbing as the ghostly horde causes wounds to open up all along her body.

![]() |

RogjamedA looks with 1 eye at Metalwhiz and asks
-What do you expect me to do with xill, loudwa? , she than adds more loud so that enemy conjurer can hear her:
-Hey host! We are leaving. We appreciate your assistans! Though you probably need some new employees.
RogjamedA disperse Ghostly Horde after this, to save spark of power in her amulet.
Good job staying alive!

![]() |

Alain slumps off of Donahan's back, charging forward at the magic wielder finally hoping to land a blow to end this charade once and for all.
+1 adamantine longsword +2 Challenge +2 Blessing of Fervor*: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18 Wow. At a time like this... of course.
damage + Challenge: 1d8 + 20 ⇒ (2) + 20 = 22
*Gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves

GM 7thGate |

I think it would just be a standard action. Its not alive or resisting at all, so you can just pick it up and dump it next to Rogjameda.
Alain's wild swing still manages to disrupt one of the mirror images, while Metalwhiz retrieves the body of the Xill and moves it next to Rogjameda.
The Blackfire Adept casts a simple spell defensively, and she becomes coated in a layer of thick grease. Alain takes a stab at her as she retreats, destroying another image.
AOO: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28
Mirror Image 1=Real: 1d5 ⇒ 4
Escape Artist, Greased, DC 19: 1d20 + 1 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 1 + 10 = 30
She moves through the webs, sliding around the table as the webbing fails to stick to her greased clothes.
Escape Artist, Greased, DC 19: 1d20 + 1 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 1 + 10 = 27
Once through, she reenters the webbing, which slips off her greasy clothes, before popping out of existence and rematerializing deep in the webs. Alain can no longer see her, though Metalwhiz can now.
She moves diagonally back 1, which requires the Escape Artist check and counts for 15' of movement due to difficult terrain, then 1 to the left outside the web, then back into the web for another check and the last 10' of movement. Then she shifts to move 10' deeper in.
Stabilize Donahan, DC 15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

![]() |

Yanda continues her mission of trying to revive Airon and casts another CLW and retrieves an alchemist's fire with her free hand.
clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

![]() |
"No web can hold me cretin, your death comes soon."
Intimidate to demoralize: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
Then he draws an alchemist's fire.

![]() |

- Do you expect me to do something with xill's body? - nods RogjamedA to Metalwhiz, looking at Airon over shoulder.
She won't stop anyone from entering web, though she is aware this is pretty risky.

![]() |

RogjamedA calls for true art necromancy and rapidly decomposes the flesh from xill corpse, leaving behind a perfectly cleaned skeleton. With pretty many hand which might be handy.
Decompose Corpse spell. Was this Xill armed with a weapon?
RogjamedA loooks at Metalwhiz obviously asking for some additional time to work, continuing concentrating and slowly breahing out smoke from mough and amulet eyes to cover the corpse...

![]() |

Metalwhiz, it seems we had the same plan...
Alain takes a step back against the wall and with his shield hand digs into his belt for a flask of Alchemist's Fire which he throws to the ground at a clumping of webs sticking to the ground in hopes the explosion ignites the area around it.
Alchemist's Fire: 1d6 ⇒ 1
player rolls eyes.

GM 7thGate |

Yup! I think this might be the longest fight in rounds I've ever had in Pathfinder, its a little crazy.
She's really starting to run out of things to do though, so we're probably going to be finishing soon.
The fire from Alain's bomb catches the webbing in a flash, and a portion burns away almost immediately.
The Blackfire Adept doesn't seem very confident staring down the angry dwarf, but casts a spell. A ray of acid shoots out...
Acid Splash, Ranged Touch Attack, Cover, Shaken vs. Grappled Flat Foot AC: 1d20 + 6 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 6 - 4 - 2 = 7
...and is blocked by some of the webbing in the way to Metalwhiz.
Round 49
Metalwhiz (-92 HP, Enlarge Person 6 Rounds, Grappled, Blessing of Fervor 4 Rounds)
Rogjameda (Mirror Images 6 Images/14 Rounds, Blessing of Fervor 4 Rounds)

Blackfire Adept (-53 HP, 3 Mirror Images, Shaken 2 Rounds)
Everyone is up!

![]() |

CLW on Airon: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
And Airon is up! Good luck staying that way.
And then Yanda moves towards the battle.

![]() |

Alain confident that at least its getting somewhere chucks his second of three Alchemist Fires just as he did the first.
Alchemist Fire 2: 1d6 ⇒ 1

![]() |
Blessing of Fervor to AC, etc.
"Oh what a tangled web we weave... When we dare to challenge METAL!!!"
Metalwhiz tries to lob his alchemist's fire at a blob of web directly next to the caster.
RTA on a square: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
"All right then, deploy the bone bag, I'll have a Liberating Command spell ready to help it get past the last of these webs."

![]() |

Airon wake up, and nods his head.
-What is happening here?!! I have a big headache!
And he moves in the floor, without stand up and ask for the favour of Desna (channel).
Thanks Yanda!
Gm, now I have 2 HP + channel; I think I am fatigued (for several rounds, I was in rage about 8 rounds and perhaps with negative points about 5 rounds (not sure), so I am going to be several rounds fatigued. I also believe I already use several channels, perhaps 4 or something like this.
+5 HP for Yanda, Metal & me
channel: 1d6 ⇒ 5

![]() |

RogjamedA breaths pseudo life into 4 hands sceleton, demanding him to stand, grab weapons and paralysed person nearby. Carefully of possible for a bony.
The ratfolk suggests to withdraw and looks for way out...
Sorry, folks. I thought I made a post 2 days ago, but likely Paizo forum messed it up...

GM 7thGate |

Flaming Webs Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6
The webs around the Blackfire Adept burn away, scorching her.
"Enough of this! I could kill you Dwarf, disintegrate you to ash and leave nothing left. But fortunately for you, I would have to give up my escape. It looks like we're both going to live to fight another day."
The Blackfire Adept casts Dimension Door, and a wave of energy washes over her as she disappears.
And with that, the 6 week, 20 round fight comes to an end!
The Pathfinders are left with
"Hrroo?"
As quiet descends on the battlefield, the woman being carried by the zombie clerk makes a strange sound and squirms some in the clerk's grasp.

![]() |

Yanda is a bit surprised by the sudden end to the very long battle.
"Well, that was exhausting. I really don't like being paralyzed. What?" Yanda mimes hearing Patros saying something,
"Oh, right Patros. Sucks to be you."
"Well. Let's collect the captives we came to get and get the heck out of here."

![]() |
"You folks search, I'm going to see about getting Patros to safety while I'm still embiggened." Metalwhiz is more downbeat than usual get it? at having lost their target.
He carries Patros ahead to scout for the exit.

![]() |

Ratfolks servants already take care of 2 body to carry, but if Metalwhiz insists - mister Xill surely gives a body away and protect his new mistress instead.
—We extracted valuable captive couple minutes ago, but you were stubborn and continue fight. It is a shame she went away. Anyway now we can search compound. Not sure if we have much time before more alive people come ask questions. Althoug I am still ready for occasions.

GM 7thGate |

Well, I just realized that my previous description kind of accidentally dropped an important paragraph somehow, which probably explains why none of you tried to talk to the person being carried by the Zombie Clerk. I must have accidentally deleted int in editing the post. Oops, sorry about that.
Channel: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 3) = 11
The woman being carried by the Zombie clerk is a middle aged Garundi woman with tatoos on the back of her hand. She is severly wounded, despite some of the infernal healing and the channels. She gestures to her mouth, and opens it wide. You can see that her tongue has been cut out, though it seems to be restoring itself partially from the healing magic.
"Sss cuuu nngg un aaah ell."
She is at 15/45 HP, and needs to be healed to full or receive a lesser restoration spell to restore her tongue to be able to speak.

![]() |

Yanda zaps her a couple of times with her wand.
CLW: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (7, 5) + 2 = 14

![]() |

After using his channels, Airon take his wand CLW.
I let rolled 3 CLW, but I dont know if I may do it right now or my channels and CLW wand of Yanda are simultaneous
Wand CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 81d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 71d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

GM 7thGate |

Between the two of you and the channels, you get her back to full with all 5 wand charges
She wiggles her healed tongue before speaking. "Thank you, thank you! My name is Jahani, and I am a member of a group of spellcasters known as Riftwardens. We seek to preserve planar separation, and are sworn enemies of the Blackfire Adepts who seek to breach it violently. My companions and I were taken captive, and my tongue was cut out so I could not cast spells. Who are you all, and why are you here?"

![]() |

"Are there more of you down here? Seems like we should rescue as many as possible, you know? Do you use a spellbook and, if so, can it be recovered?"

![]() |

Alain checks on others who are hurt after ensuring the room is clear. He'll check on Donahan to see if there's a way to revive him. In truth, given its a pregen, ensuring the fate of Donahan isn't really a priority.
After, he'll aid others in searching the remaining rooms.

![]() |

When it is getting obvious the captive is geeting better and may proceed at her own - RogjamedA demands zombie-clerk to put her down and stay back.
But not before she Sculpt Corpse to make clerk looks good even though his clothes likely poor after Black Tentacles intervention.
The ratfolk sniffing around but participates in talking:
RogjamedA at your service, dear Jahani! Accent on last letter A.What matters - we here to extract you and your team so lets find them or what left of them quickly. Regalia we may save for later.

GM 7thGate |

"There should be four of us. There are holding cells down here, and a holding pen in one of the buildings on the ground floor, which we were held in briefly before being separated for interrogation. We should move quickly to find anyone who might still be alive.
Donahan survived his ordeal, and is able to be revived by Airon's channeling. I'll assume everyone gathers on Donahan for that.
That's about it, so I'll do a summary post to go over the searching results and wrap things up tomorrow; good job everyone!

GM 7thGate |

Ah yes. They're growing inside you, and need to be killed with Cure Disease or cut out with Healing. That will be the final wrap up.
Determining that time is critical, the Pathfinders start by opening the doors to the slave cells in the basement. Metalwhiz is able to smash in a door every 6 seconds like clockwork, while Alain's adamantine sword, Airon's club and Yanda and Rogjameda's lockpicking are only slightly slower. In about a minute, all of the cells are open, and 15 slaves are freed, one of whom is a Riftwarden with his tongue cut out.
Heading back upstairs, Rogjameda searches the offices while the rest of the group heads to the building Jahani indicates held slaves for processing; the building where you first heard the roaring of the Ceustodaemons. Inside there are a large group of slaves chained together, but some quick lockpicking work frees the chain and Jahani is able to point out another Riftwarden, a man named Gerrard with broken hands.
Rogjameda finds the remains of substantial burned paperwork inside the offices, as well as the last Riftwarden stuffed under a desk. She also has broken hands, and after she is freed the group meets up outside to head to the exit. When the Pathfinders clear the compound, they can see the local watch beginning to arrive, but are able to get clear just before an effective force and intercept them.
I would estimate about 2-3 minutes in the basement recovering, getting to all the doors and opening them, then about 2 minutes to get to the top area and find/free the last slaves/search the offices, then a bit under a minute to get out of there; you have 6 mintues left before enforcement arrives, so its tight, but I think you would make it, and I don't think its worth doing 60 more round by round moves to find out for sure.
Once the Pathfinders are free of the compound, Jahani offers to take them to her home to recover. There, she thanks all of the Pathfinders profusely for their efforts, and begins to put in motion plans to prevent the Blackfire Adepts from returning easily to Azir. She also pens a letter to Venture-Captain Obo commending the Pathfinders for their heroism and resourcefulness against the enemy.
Patros, who needed to be carried through this by a combination of the reanimated Xill and Metalwhiz, recovers from his paralysis but has the distinctly unpleasant feeling of six squirming eggs moving around in his chest. After consulatation, it is determined that the Xill implanted her young in Patros, and that they will hatch within the day and eat him from the inside out. The eggs must be surgically removed, or treated with a Remove Disease spell to be killed.
Needs 6 DC 20 Heal Checks, each attempt deals Patros 1d4 damage. Remove Disease would also work if anyone has it.

![]() |

"I happen to know a recipe that will take care of diseases. Unfortunately it will only work on me. On the other hand I should be able to activate a scroll if you chose to buy one. No guarantee it will work though."
After reviewing her limitations she suggests "You should probably visit a healer."

![]() |

While all the things swings around RogjamedA stays calm and continue to lead team with plan and details. She is sad that documents were burned and also that she is lacking of funeral cart now. So she's gald to use invitation to Jahani's place.
The occultist cant help Patros but ready to whats over him while he is creating new life out of his own body. If it's happen...

![]() |

Sounds good. So a straight up heal skill thing. Works for me.
"But, if you insist, I can do this the hard way. But let me purchase some tools first."
Before starting Yanda will purchase Surgeon's tools and a Healer's kit. Mostly for fluff since she will not need them, at least for this.

GM 7thGate |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Yanda proceeds with the surgery, cutting the eggs out of Patros with some minimal damage. With that taken care of, the mission is complete, and the Pathfinders can make their way back home, mission accomplished!
Great job everyone! I haven't had time to get the chronicle sheets together, but I'll look to get those set up tomorrow. Thank you all for playing in the game, it was great playing with all of you!
