I'm out of time for posting for today, but I'll try to get something up soon.

It seems like we're having a lot of difficulty getting started here despite having several additional finished characters -- I've posted some instructions for the message boards and the intro post that explains the setting and current situation.
Are there other questions these links do not answer? I can try to find some additional resources for the message board. I can answer fluff questions here.
There seems to be some obstacle I don't understand to just going ahead and making some posts to get started, and I'd like to figure out what that is so we can get this game moving again.

I'm still recruiting -- if I can get new players that will finish their characters and start posting, I'm cutting off the new players when we get to 6-7. You will loose your spot if you don't go ahead and start and someone else gets it together and starts posting.
I need everyone who wants to play to figure out whatever obstacles they have, resolve those, and start posting by Monday or I'll assume they won't be able to participate.

Sorry about the delays, I've just been having some difficulties navigating the Paizo boards since its my first time on this site and figuring out where to find the setting info.
I understand you want people to start posting but I don't want to interrupt a scene if it's currently going on. Should I just post my intro?

As I've now said several times I'm waiting for the new players to post -- there is no ongoing scene -- it's like we've hit the pause button while I wait for the new players to actually post; in fact, the game's over if no one posts soon, we can't keep hanging out like this with no one posting. I'm not sure how to make this more imperative and direct -- everyone who hasn't posted absolutely needs to get started posting as soon as possible.
I'm happy to answer fluff questions. I'm happy to provide links to tutorials about how to use the site.
I need you to actually ask me those questions and tell me if the resources I provide are sufficient and communicate actively about why you're not posting so I can resolve the questions efficiently. If you spend another week confused but not telling me what the issue is, the game will just end from lack of momentum. I can't read peoples minds over the internet or cajole them to participate. I'm going to give up soon if I just can't get people to go ahead and post.

I have my new computer up and running and made a post in gameplay. I'll try to load the map as soon as I can find the link again. It would be good to place that link on the campaign info section, for easy reference.
Sometimes a private message gets more attention then discussion thread or recruitment page posts. Until someone posts in the gameplay thread, the campaign does not show up in a player's list of active campaigns, and without that, there's no indication when new posts are made.

The forge map loaded without hanging up my computer, so it appears the problem I was having before was with my old computer. However, the only thing I see on the map is vertical lines in rainbow colors. Is that what I should be seeing?
Edit: The map eventually loaded.

I'd give it a couple more days. The player of Lividial has just the one character, so he/she/they may not have developed a habit of checking posts regularly. The first time players sometimes lose interest and don't notify the rest. Or it may have just been a busy week that crowded out the time for posting.

Yeah, I'm used to using things like discord where I'll get a notification whenever something new happens, so I'm not the best at remembering to check in. I've added the site to my phone's home screen though, so hopefully that'll help me remember.

I set up a browser bookmark that takes me to my profile page, the Campaigns tab. That lists each active campaign in which a player has posted in the gameplay thread. It has the number of new posts in each campaign in parentheses that you have not read yet.
If you go to the Paizo website and search for the Paizo chrome extension and add it to your Chrome browser, it highlights the new post notifications in orange and gives you a few other benefits, like the ability to substitute a different character image for each character in any game you are in. You are the only one who sees it, but I like to use it for my own characters to better represent my concept of the character's appearance. I sometimes do the same for other PCs or GMs in games where I don't think the image looks as I envision the character.

@TheLoreWriter: You have the option to create a separate alias for the character, distinct from your Player profile. That way, the PC's name is at the top of each of your posts. You can also select an image to represent your character so everyone can see an image to go with the name. This helps keep posts distinct and to follow the flow of posting.
The new alias should now be listed under Messageboard Aliases. If you click on "Edit" you can change the avatar image. You can change the name unless you have made over 10 posts with the current name.
If you click on the character's name to the left, you can then click on the Profile tab to create the profile where you can put what you currently have on your Player profile. Most people either leave their player profile blank or write some details about their self that they don't mind sharing with the public.
If you find another Paizo Messageboard campaign you want to join, you can follow this same procedure to create a new alias for the PC that will join that game. If you elect to be the narrator or moderator or dungeon master of a new campaign, most players create a moderator alias, just to help keep posts separate.
If you or any other players new to Paizo boards has a question about the messageboard procedures, let me know. I've been playing for about ten years, so I'm very familiar with most aspects.

I'm checking this but I've spent as much effort as I have to try to keep things going -- if everyone just isn't able to settle into a regular posting pattern that goes somewhere, I really have nothing to add. I've started a new live game on Fridays, and I think I may just be done with pbp for right now if this is going to be so hard to keep going. I've run a game for more than 2 years on these forums before, but I'm burning out on how hard it is to find those games vs. the majority that just peter out quickly.
Playing these games requires checking and reading the forum very regularly -- if that's just out of bounds as a possibility, this won't work. It does require a decent amount of commitment and concentration. You have to sit down on a regular schedule and read whatever everyone else wrote, remind yourself of what was happening if you forgot, and then come up with a reply.
Right now there's nothing for me to add from my perspective -- you all need to decide whether to head into the town, in which case I'll describe that, or go back to the forest, in which case I'll do that. There's no reason to set up the whole map and load tokens in Foundry if you're immediately leaving one or the other location.
I've said more than once, and Shasta has, that we're happy to explain how to use the forums -- that still needs effort. If it's just too different from discord or whatever you're used to, that's okay to just admit that, but we can't do anything if there's just a continuous stasis b/c players aren't sure what to do, or don't have time to catch up on the posts, or aren't sure where the story's going. If you ask me and actively communicate with me, I can try to help, but the onus is on the group to actively participate and keep things moving.

I think all the PCs except Dhizzi have expressed a willingness to go on the quest to rescue the woman (and I'd assume Dhizzi will agree). I'd narrate what happens during the overnight, as I think night is falling and we will use the protection of the city to get through the night safely. Then we can set out in the morning with fresh spells and take us to where the action is.
If we get to a point where there is combat, and we still don't have everyone posting regularly, then cancel the game (is my advice). But, of course, if you've made up your mind to cancel, then that's your call.

I haven't already decided to do anything -- but I'm also not going to drag this along for everyone, I want the same level of input in keeping it moving forward from the players as I am putting in.

I'm feeling a bit under the weather at the moment. I should be able to post but my pace may slow down.

It's been over two weeks since any posts by Luvidial or Dhizzi. Seems like this may be the end of the line, sad to say.

I have another character I made for the campaign Bodacious started and then stopped. It is an elf druid 5th level. She doesn't have some of the perks you allowed like the extra feats and the extra archetype, but I can either forego those to have something ready quickly or take the time to adjust her. She is a decent fighter with the ability to take a grizzly bear beast form or a tiger. She has combat spells and buff spells and a decent AC.
