Yeah, this book has been particularly tough! Though this AP hasn't been easy in general. I considered resting, but the time pressure was getting to me; we had already rested so many times...

Shocca gets a feat from this AP! Retrotech, it gives her access to rerolls for skill checks regarding pre-Gap technology. While this would have been even better for book 1, where the feat came from, it should be vital if (when?) we board the infamous death-ship.

Other than that, her microlab gets a little better at healing and she can now use biohacks to let us completely ignore the effects of Disease!

1. The Starstone Cathedral came along with the Starstone?! I didn't know that, is this the first time the world is hearing this?
2. Absalom SANK!?!

1) It indeed has!
2) Nirin's view of time means that it confuses the order of things sometimes. Aroden raised the Isle of Kortos, but of course the city was built afterward.

Behind the GM curtain on #1:
The adventure as written actually doesn't give you a view of the Starstone, which I felt was kind of a disappointment after taking you all the way into the Starstone Research chamber overlooking the place the Starstone resides. The presence of parts of the Starstone Cathedral is therefore an embellishment on my part, as the adventure is silent on it.

It's interesting that Nirin isn't accepting "just take it and go." Rather "there must be destruction."

Ahhhhhhh, rereading the sinking section makes more sense with that reminder! I love that, and crazy immortals.

I'm so glad you included the cathedral! I understand why they don't want to include a canon description of the Starstone... but that cathedral reveal absolutely dropped my jaw. When I realized that we actually made it here, that just re-emphasized how high level play this really is.

Definitely Paizo delivering on the high level vibes with this whole book, from talking face to face with the highest echelon of the Pact, to dealing with unknowable transdimensional entities to decide the future of the Starstone.

Sadly casting is always obvious, so you can't telekinetic hand it stealthily. But you could still potentially do so as a surprise round action.

After we failed two fairly normal diplomacy situations earlier in this book, passing two difficult ones is blowing my mind. There's no room for a face character in a three person party, but we're doing our best.

I am both disappointed and relieved that you managed to make it through the Nirin encounter diplomatically! Nirin is a strange but extraordinarily dangerous figure, even when limited by using a physical body in the material plane. The fight, had it happened, would have been very cool and probably very short!

And we're not even at the end of the book. :)

A little peek behind the curtain on Nirin, for those curious what you missed in the fight:
If you can believe it, they gave Nirin what is effectively PF1E's mythic template (including the backbreaking dual initiative feature) along with many other overwhelmingly powerful time related abilities (you best believe time stop is one of them, even though it doesn't exist as a spell in Starfinder). I have no idea how even a full party of five is supposed to fight him, much less a group of three or four.
