Yup. Definitely a good call on that. If the GM is good with it, I'll help you run the fuse.
Dario Zuz
When it comes to gunpowder, I can only create a very small amount of it at a time right now. It likely won't be nearly enough to blow up the rubble there.
@Caiten - I vaguely remember you saying that you were planning on going into crafting hard right? I might not as much, especially with me trying to focus into trapfinder and whatnot.
Caiten
At least to Magical Crafting. Probably picking up Alchemical Crafting as well, since it will be basically free if I have the requirements for Magical Crafting already.
Though crafting isn't the big boost in party wealth that I have heard it rumored to be in PF1. It is roughly equivalent to any other Lore (Earn Income) skill. Though it does allow creating stuff when not near a settlement - if we have 4 days to spare, and the raw materials.
Javell DeLeon
In a nutshell, and after Caiten checks the rubble room as I just noticed, Joran is going to go ALL the way south. That room appears to be a dead end except for the lone door in the east wall. Joran will open that one.
He'll then open the one that's directly above that door on the map. Literally 5' north. And then he'd want to go through the upper room instead of the lower one simply due to the fact it is much wider. If something were to jump on us in that cramped 10' wide room, that could very well put a couple of us in some jeopardy. The 20' wide room is a way better option, I feel.
Javell DeLeon
Also, for the record, I am terribly OCD when it comes to doors. I am a BIG TIME completionist. I want them ALL opened and I want to explore EVERY room. Man it is tough to be playing it the way I'm playing it. So tough. That door at the very top of the map? The one that's on the north wall in that really long room? You have NO IDEA how much that bugs me. No idea. Like an itch you can't scratch. lol! :P
Oren Strelov
Nothing wrong with checking every room in a dungeon. That's how you get all the treasure! Or XP if the DM chooses to level by Experience instead of milestone.

Agreed.

"Suppose you see a drunk man arguing with his wife..."
"Considering my previous experience with a drunk man making demands of his wife, it would certainly be strongly considered."
Yasami I dunno if you chose that on purpose from his backstory but that was an awesome setup regardless and I love that reply Caiten. This group is so much fun.
Yasami
I didn't. I don't read other players backstories, just the essentials. Players will reveal what they want to reveal.
Caiten
That's awesome. I think that is the second time you have inadvertently set up something absolutely perfect for a bit of character portrayal for me.
Caiten
I'm hoping that Joran comes available online soon, answers the question of who this is arguing with the goblins (though I, as a player, have my suspicions), and that one of you more Chaotically minded characters takes decisive action. Caiten (the character) would happily analyze and discuss plans for way too long.
Caiten
Quick question: What is this terrain on the West side of the courtyard? I'm thinking either a pit or a large rock.
Cevendyll
It's a muddy puddle.
Are we going with the use-the-pups-as-bait plan, or is Joran going to charge? =)
I might prefer that it were called the pups-draw-agro-ambush plan ... but yeah ;)
Caiten
OK. So can't hide behind it then.
Using the puppies sounds amusing, but it doesn't matter to me much either way. Arrows would likely get the attention of the lizard fairly quietly too. The sound of a pitched battle - especially one with a firearm involved - not so much.
Caiten
So hypothetically, if someone did want to have the warg puppies make a bunch of noise and attract the attention of the lizard thing, what rolls, if any, would be needed for that?
Lisitsei Nagorát
That would be Fern rolling Intimidate, I guess?
I'm more in favor of arrows myself, but the room is large enough that the pups aren't in danger.

Leeeeeroy Joran!
Cevendyll
The lizard charged at Joran... Slowly. Seemed these things had plenty in common with alligators, and were not the fastest things ever out of water. It got to the brave barbarian but without time to attack before...
Everyone is up! Fire at will.
Yeah .... lizards like that kind of waddle. That was why I suggested the lure, which would have taken the lizards like 2 moves to really react to. A cluster of ranged attacks could also just have taken it out ... guess we can try that after the hand crossbow is purchased.

I will need to pick up a hand crossbow when we return back to town for more silent events.
Nice. At least I'm not the only one wanting to switch up my equipment after the current adventure.

Totally off topic but just noticed we've been playing for over a month now! <3
Oh wow. I know that February is the short month, but time really flew by!
Javell DeLeon
Leeeeeroy Joran!
Lol! So dang funny. I don't know why. It just is. I guess I'm just easily amused. :P
LINK Lol! "Let's do this..."

I know, right? Crazy.
Also, was that a typo on your damage for your maul(the 2d12) or did I miss a spell(or whatever the case) somewhere that gives you double the damage? (If I was a betting man, I'd put on me missing something. That happens a lot unfortunately). :P
Caiten
Magic Weapon. Probably my best combat spell currently.
And you aren't the only one that misses things. It took me quite a while to figure out where the +1 damage from Dario's pistol was coming from.
Javell DeLeon
"Lure it in! You got this Joran!" Dario said, trying to give a confident smile. "Bless this country boy's brave, stupid heart." The gunslinger thought to himself, readying his blade to go after the beast when it moves closer.
Lol! "...brave, stupid heart." Oh man that is just so dang funny. :D

Dang, this is a fast moving, chatty game. You struck the mother lode with players, Fern!

Yeah, the design of these creatures is great. There is even some developer insight given in the Gamemastery Guide on building creatures generally and specifically how PF2 creature abilities are designed for those of us that homebrew our campaigns.

That's pretty cool.
And now I see how Dario got 2d6 damage on his pistol. I was thinking that was normal! You must've cast Magic Weapon on that as well. Man I totally missed that too.
Although, I will say, I had NO idea what Magic Weapon did and just figured it gave a +1 bonus to hit/damage as in PF1 and gave it no more mind.
The spells in here are definitely different. I REALLY love the healing. You can heal someone at range using a couple of actions. That's cool. AND it's an extra 8 added to it.
You know, after looking at that, it made me wonder why Paizo had Channel Energy only do 1d6? Every other type of healing uses a d8 but Channel Energy uses a d6. That makes no sense. It's funny though. I've never thought about that until now.
I also like the fact there's no: Touch AC, Flat-footed AC, CMD, CMB(I'm sure there are others but those are just off the top of my head). Man it is such a relief not to have to deal with so many more variables. So much simpler.
DM Fern
Yeah, having everything be a number of actions makes it a lot easier to keep track of what you can do, imo. And since the multiple attack penalty makes attacking three times highly unlikely but not impossible to pay off, I feel like it lends itself to some fun strategy, especially as you level up and access more feats.
And I agree we have an awesome group! I know a couple people can't post as often as us nerds who refresh the page every 20 minutes, lol, but I'm having a blast with you all.
Javell DeLeon
Oops! My bad. I actually raged last round and still rolled a 3rd attack. Fortunately it was a horrendous miss anyway. A -3 is pretty much a pointless attack roll anyhow. I'll definitely have to work to remember that in the future though. (But don't be surprised if I forget again because I won't be). :P
And oh my gosh that lizard could've DESTROYED Joran. Like clean in half destroyed. Man I'm so glad you rolled low on that d12. :P
And nice hit, Oren! Heck yeah! Man we've got to drop this thing in THIS round or one of us(Joran) is toast. ;P

Between you, me, and Dario, there's no way this thing can still be alive.

I keep looking at the HP bar thinking, thank god it's not the kids mom ;)
Seriously though, the thing is tough. That's why I wanted to use a Hero Point.

That's what I'm hoping.
That's why I wanted to use a Hero Point.
And that's exactly why I used one. Desperate times and all that...
And you keep your damage roll. You just reroll the d20. That's why I didn't reroll the damage on mine.
If I recall correctly, I think Oren also used a point to reroll an attack. Off the top of my head I think he said something to the effect of: "My damage was too good not to use a hero point." or something like that.
Or maybe it was Dario. One of them anyway.

I'm feeling a bit bad for Yasami and Lisi.
