Teki flails her way through the insects. "I think these are related to the nasty butterflies from home!"
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
The foot fungus is a different story. She tries to concoct a paste to cure it.

This is the sort of stuff they DON'T mention in the Chronicles he growls.

Scragatha doesn't mind the bites as she tries to catch as many of the big ones as she can. "Come'ear! Yay! Gotcha! Hey I caught one! Ow!"
My daughter has been singing the "I caught a baby bumblebee" nearly nonstop so getting a kick here.
The foot fungus is no problem for the goblin. Besides being used to damp and terrible living conditions, she has a satchel of foul-smelling powder that she puts her whole foot in and wiggles her toes in it. She holds out the bag to the others. "Anyone else want some? It keeps the itching down."
Can any of us help/aid the others? I'm looking at you Tempest. Come put your (probably) webbed feet in my bag.

Scragatha sits down on a log and wiggles her powdery but dry toes in the air. "Still got some left if anyone wants some!" She holds out the bag like someone trying to entice a cat to come get the snack.
since everyone else failed the foot fungus check, she must be on to something

"You are a braver man than I, friend Tempest" Reji comments...

![]() |

"Yes! My feet are killing me!" Teki sits down and holds out her feet one at a time.

DoubleGold |

So most of you took 1 damage from the insects, or 3 if you failed. You all have minor bites on you, but your feet hurts slowing you all down. 10 foot reduction to your speeds.
You all have a chance to rest your hurt feet. You have 10 minutes for your characters to do something, including treat wounds on yourself to heal that 1 to 3 damage you took, or anything else you'd like to do.

![]() |

Teki attempts to treat her bites, so at least one thing will be less annoying.
Medicine: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Reji sinks to the ground with a moan.
"Yes, my feet are killing me. I need to reinforce my boots next time I'm in town!"
I crit succeeded on the Acrobatics check so at least that's a consolation

![]() |

Scragatha doesn't have healer's tools or much in medicine. So she'll be down the 3hp.
How can we remove the speed penalty for folks? Can she help with that for someone else during the 10minutes?

DoubleGold |

Ten minutes pass and you hear a cry of alarm from ahead of you all followed by a loud feline growl. Rushing forward, the party find the grippli, Prembret, at the mercy of a large panther. The heroes must drive off the big cat. If a hero has Wild Empathy, that hero can attempt a DC 15 Diplomacy check to Request that the panther leave the area. Otherwise, the heros can attempt to scare the panther off. Each hero can attempt their choice of a Strike against AC 14 or a DC 14 Intimidation check or magic missile. If at least half of the party (rounded up) succeeds, the panther flees immediately.
This is not a combat, but a skill check challenge, the story advances no matter the outcome and your rewards are the same, but you could get something in return to make your quest easier. If you do strike the panther you can roll damage, but there are no stats for the panther. Though it does make logical sense that the panther can and will die. Tiger has 60 HP, so I'll stop it there. AC is still 14. Average hero would have roll a 7 to hit as only the fighter/gunslinger can get away with rolling a 5 to hit ac 14. So if you are casting a spell with a save, it will have to roll a 14 to save, ie the opposite number giving you the same odds to save. 14 to Save assuming you maximized your spell stat and are trained, otherwise if you have Cha 16 and are a Sorcerer, it can save on a 13. If somehow you are an expert and you cast a spell it would have to roll a 16 to save assuming you maximized that stat.

"Let the grippli go!" Teki steps forward and fires her crossbow at the creature to try and make it go away.

"Bad kitty! Leave that creature alone!"

DoubleGold |

Alright the cat leaves the grippli alone, saving the grippli and many of his potions. Thanks guys and he gives the party 3 minor elixir of life. They are actually peaches acting as that potion. Same number of actions and stuff to pull and use them.
I'm Prembret by the way and I've been traveling the Sodden Lands to broaden my horizons He would still live if you failed, but the peaches you wouldn't have.
You can now press on until speed recovers or rest. Can't tell you one way or the other if you benefit from rushing or not.

![]() |

I would just as soon press on. Is anyone terribly injured?

![]() |

I'm also good with pressing on.
Scragatha smiles a toothy grin at the rescued grippli. "You're welcome Prembret! You should come along with us. The more the merrier."

Scragatha squeals as the gigantic leeches come slithering up to her. She steps away and hurls two flasks of alchemist's fire, one at each leech.
While she throws she asks out loud. "Anyone know anything about these? OOH! These must be the caterpillars that turn into the carnivorous butterflies!"
Alchemist's Fire attack v Orange: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 potential fire damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 Primary target: 2 persistent fire damage and 2 fire splash damage. Secondary targets: 2 fire splash damage
