Oh, no doubts there, but that doesn't mean that her subterfuge didn't make someone antsy. ;)

She'll probably adopt a new persona sooner rather than later, but I don't think she'll be bringing back Zeebo, at least not right away.

Hey everyone.

Unfortunately, I am dropping out of all my PbP games (with the exception of the one I am running), so will not be able to continue playing with you.

Both my professional and my personal lives have taken a turn, becoming increasingly busier and demanding for the last couple of months - I have been struggling to keep up, and I do not see any chance of improvement anytime soon. I need to make room for these other demands and priorities, and PbP will have to take the brunt of the hit.

The only thing I can say is thank you for a great game and a great time while it lasted.

For our incoming PCs - who I'm planning on bringing in when you arrive in Haranshire - we have a Dwarven Ranger and an Elven Druid.

Am conscious that sans Rannock, you'll have Ping and aforementioned Druid as the party healers... and no turning ability without a Cleric. Not a game changer, but something to be mindful of if when undead arise...

If anyone fancies a rebuild of their PC, now's the time. Likewise I'll let the two incomers know the same should a Cleric pique their interests. Failing that we could look at recruiting another PC...

Let me know what you all think as we're at a good interlude spot :)

As far as rebuilds go, I'm fine, I think. I'm having a ball playing Ping. I wanted to give everyone a chance to react to Ping no longer disguising herself as Zeebo, but I think I'll be posting tonight.

By the way, where are our new party members? Have they not had a chance to post in the discussion thread?

Rolling for gold to get armed and armored: 3d8 ⇒ (2, 2, 2) = 6 x10 = 60 - looks like I'll be traveling light!

Less stuff means less weight when we have to run for it.

Remember, you don't have to outrun the owlbear, just have to outrun the slowest/meatiest member of your party. ;)

FYI gang, we're still in the process of moving piecemeal - my missus is pushing on with getting the house a home. Postings been compounded by our current internet provider cutting the service at the original move date of 21-10 (despite being told to wait until 01-11)... which they can't reinstate for 2 weeks (by which we'll be moved in lol).

So am now working off an emergency hub which is considerably slower than the fibre speeds we did have. Upshot - bear with while I get the next chapter lined up gang :)

It has Adam - we're pretty much moved in - just all the big furniture being shifted on Tuesday. Been a backbreaking day - loads of car/van trips and lifting/shifting.

By the way, was Ping able to recall anything she may have picked up about slavers in the area or in general? I think I just roll an INT check vs. DC 12, since that's one of her prime attributes. Is that right?

My apologies if I seem like I haven't been all there over the past few weeks. Both of my grandmothers have wound up in the hospital, one for falling and hitting her head, the other for RSV and pneumonia. On top of this I also found out that my remote work agreement would not be renewed by my employer, meaning I either have to move, make a 180 mile (190 km) three hour commute to work and back each day, or find a new job. For a variety of reasons, I've elected to go job hunting. Yesterday and today, I've received some news that is likely to make things more erratic in the near term.

While visiting with my mom and sister yesterday I learned that my nana, my mom's mom and the one that's in the hospital with RSV and pneumomia, is ready to die. The doctors say she's doing well and is recovering, but some of the things she's said, like waiting on Papa James to come get her though he's been gone since 2006, are just... I dunno if I can describe it. She'll be 96 this coming Saturday.

Just now, I got a text message from my uncle, my dad's brother. Grammy, the one that fell and hit her head, has been getting worse since Friday. She can't move much on her own anymore and is only mumbling when she tries to talk. She's 81.

Please, just keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

BD I sent a PM... Hit a bit of a wall in IRL myself and subsequently with the backstory but could probably get a 2nd draft up quick, otherwise ready for the intro/insert.

Either way, you're right, she is tough, and tougher than she realizes, I think. She was red-haired before it turned white on her. Not sure about Scots in her line. Her maiden name was Fager, and I think that's actually Welsh from what I remember, unless I'm getting that mixed up with Powell, which is my other grandmother's maiden name. I, on the other hand, know I have some Scots in me from my dad's side, and my Papa James has a family tree stretching back into antiquity, with some Norman blood in there. I think we're related to William the Conqueror, somehow. I'd have to ask my sister or my aunt who was really into genealogy at least when we were little.

Am using this inn stopover as an opportunity for lore gathering and world flavour.

Apologies to our more martial contingent in Spiro and Huni, you'll have time to shine soon enough :)

No problems. I'm enjoying keeping up with the game. I get as much enjoyment watching other characters and relationships develop as actually playing. I'll jump in when appropriate.
