Ayla again swings her blade
and misses.
Another bolt of force leaver Al's hand and strikes the creature.

Kilain moves up and swings his hammer at the Goblinoid
Once again, Jenise summons a rain of stars to burn the enemy.
And the foe is down, partially smelling of burned flesh and fur.
"I hate that smell of burned fur, I just hope it doesn't attract anything.
Though the worse smell will be coming soon." Ayla says with some disgust.
"I guess we should proceed ahead with the next area in this tor."
Ever practical, Jenise goes over to see if there's any loot worth taking on the body.
Al watches the others as they go about their ways after the battle. He follows Jenise and watches as she searches the two large beasts.
"So do you know what these things are? I do not think I have run into their kind before."
This muscular humanoid is a bugbear, the biggest and strongest of the common goblinoids. Bugbears speak Goblin and Common.
As well as being considerably stronger, healthier and more light footed than the average human, bugbears have an affinity for moving quietly despite their bulk. Combined with their natural darkvision, these qualities add up to a creature very well suited for raids on camp sites in the dead of night.
Bugbears tend to live in small tribal units, with the biggest and meanest of them the tribal leader by default. They tend to have but two goals in life: food and treasure, and a group of adventures would be considered a great source of both.
Ayla tries thinking about it but can seem to come up with an answer
Kilain takes up a position to be able to see the hall exiting the chmber on the opposite side, and the hole in the ceiling above. he says off handedly Ehh what does it matter what they are...their dead now. ...and as far as im concerned..A dead Goblinoid is one step in the right direction
"the only good goblin is a dead goblin." childishly says.
"Sort of looks like an overgrown goblin, but I have no idea what they're called." Jenise shrugs and stands up, not having found any decent loot. "Shall we continue?"
You all proceed down the hallway and quickly find a locked door in front, and can see a narrow passage on the heading east.
"Hmmm...try the door or go down the corridor?? Do we have anyone that might be able to deal with the locked door??"
The wizard shines his light down the corridor as well as at the door as he studies both rooutes.
That passage is a bit narrow, I'll check it out.
Ayla keeps alert as she goes down the passage, with the light from her greave helpig light the way.
Ayla lets out the most girlish scream one could hear from her and she runs back to the group and is pushing herself against the wall while having the most childish and girly look of fear on her face.
"There is a spider in there, .... and it is really big....."and scary...
Huuurrrrrm! Nuttin to be Skeered of dere Lass. Itll die just like the small ones do. Lets get to exterminatin And Kilain will move up to the doorway and look around.
"Ew. Still, Kilain is right. Spiders burn like anything else." Jenise follows the dwarf, looking around for the spider.
with her companions words Ayla is not as afraid, though switched from her fullblade to her Lucerne hammer, which will help in attacking it at a distance, though her face still shows her fear.
At the end of this hallway is a small chamber
whose wooden door lies on the floor. The smell of
dust pervades the air, and the sound of thunder is
muted here. Numerous body-shaped lumps are
visible through the doorway, each wrapped carefully
in layers of grey thread like woven mummies.
Jenise has a hard time seeing things until Ayla start walking in the passage as well and sees a small spider on the wall and sees it climb the wall to the ceiling and sees that something is up, there but not sure given the lighting conditions.
Kilain spots a small spider on the wall and sees it climb upward to the ceiling, where he does find a rather big spider.
And it's eyes are saying; breakfast, lunch, and dinner have arrived.
Following behind the others, Al shines his light into the room at the end of the hall.
"So what do we have here...giant spiders or just some regular swarms??"
He smiles slightly, then stops when he thinks of what a swarm of spiders might do to the group.
"Ummm...forget the swarm...maybe just a few big ones?"

"Eek" Ayla swings her Lucerne hammer eyes slightly closed at the spider hoping to kill it.
The spider's head is crushed into the ceiling with the spider's body goes limp,
and Ayla hit it with enough force to get her hammer somewhat stuck in the ceiling.
Ayla takes a while to get her hammer out from the ceiling and with the hammer getting removed so does the spider's corpse fall.
Even with the spider dead Ayla is still somewhat fearful of it.
She also helps Jenise got out of the webbing.
Seeing the spider dead, Al goes over and helps free Jenise out of the web.
"Well that one was pretty big. Good aim on squashing it Ayla!"
The spider corpse the size of a very large dog twitches some.
Ayla seeing the corpse twitch, hammers it into paste on the now cracked floor.
"Ew, ew, ew!" Jenise struggles against the webbing, trying to reach her dagger. She eventually manages to twist around enough to draw it, cutting her way out. "Nasty." The sorceress recites a quick cantrip, and the sticky remnants vanish from her clothes and skin.
prestidigitation cleans up the mess
Ayla looks around
"Any other big ones?"
"Let's take a look at these wrapped lumps. Who knows what the spider may have inadvertently sealed up with their meals."
He takes a small knife from her belt and starts to cut open one of the cocoons.
Adalphorius open a number of them and each time hit with a strong and nasty smell of a decaying body. Most of the cocoons are rats and humanoids.
He does find a corpse with a white mask, takes it off then quickly puts it back on the corpse, as it had a nightmare inducing face under the mask especially with it as a decaying corpse.
another corpse had a fedora and clawed glove, but the leather of the clawed glove decayed and the blades are very rusted.
Though searching the room you find a key.

You all hear another loud clap of thunder, and moments later a scream.
"Crap, something must be attacking Leonora, Pip and Kirk."
Kilain spins without saying a word and starts back the way they came as fast as his dwarven legs can carry him
You all run back and find that one of the other doors in the first room has been opened and 6 skeletons are now in the room.
And Pip is trying to keep Leonora and Kirk safe from them.
"So even thunder can wake the dead?"
Jenise curses as she sees the undead. Her color spray won't work on them, and there's six of the buggers! Grimly, the sorceress summons her fiery stars on the closest skeleton.
Players won initiative.
two skeletons have small spiders on them.
Ayla sees the spiders and swings with her hammer
but the Fear of a small spider causes her to swing off the mark.
Kilain moves to a centrally located spot and touches the Hammer symbol around his neck, sending a quick prayer to Torag as a wave of damaging white energy pulses out from him to 30' in all directions.
Two Skeleton's Explode from the energy and another burns apart.
