Tyug'u catches up to Timerus, resuming his supporting position...
Jaidu stands on the ceiling; watching the poisonous swarm wreck the indigenous population.
Timerus slowly moves toward the lizards, dismissing the swarm when he is close and moves in to stab each on the eyes to kill them. He then looks up to see how things are going with the Tasloi.
As the swarm approaches Phoibe will attack the injured creature in front of her to finish it off before backing away to let the swarm handle things and not be in range of it, her shadows moving around to flank the creature as she finishes it. The spear swirls in her hand for the first time her associates have seen her full attack and hits like a mace then stabs and back again as if a whirlwind.
Phoibe caused a lot of damage to her target. If it's one of the lizards, it's surely dead by now.
Jaidu frowns once the swarm is dispersed.
That was entertaining.
The Gunslinger then resumes walking across the ceiling to where the enemy are going.
The tasloi are scrambling to get away. The fireball really burned their morale. Some of them have 3rd degree burns. One throws a nice rock at Jaidu.
As he is able, Takeda throws a series of punches and kicks at the nearest tasloi shifting targets as any drop.
Jaidu smiles and waves at the retreating tasloi. He continues onward.
This is not much of a threat, either, Chui muses, watching the adventurers rout the defenders. Where are the real guards? When possible, he rides back to where the ground is below him, and considers where the paths forward may lie.
You could go back, but then you would never find the prisoners. You could go forward and face an even greater foe.
Hanuhpah finishes the crossing seeing as the supposed guards were fleeing before them. Making sure the ground is safe and all the enemies gone he hops down and looks around.

Tyug'u advances past Timerus (and the dying lizards), to the porticullis . He examines it for traps,

Phoibe leaves the dead lizard and follows again on the ceiling moving with the group and dropping down to help with the portcullis.
Phoibe's help has lifted the portcullis a little half-way. Maybe if more people can help lift it.
Nuriyah steps up to take hold of the portcullis. "There are certainly enough of us here, I'm sure we can lift this thing together!"
With that, the portcullis is raised high enough for someone to go in and use the winch.
That one won't be Chui, who is still investigating whether any Tasloi made it to hiding-holes that could lead elsewhere. If he finds any, he'll point them out to Jaidu or Timerus, who have ranged attacks that can stop them from getting far.

As Jaidu sets the winch, the portcullis raises higher and higher until it's at the desired elevation.
Knowing his limitations and his strengths, the Gunslinger reaches into his pockets. Retrieving his trusty tools, the Trapper decides to disable the device, causing it to stay high enough to get under.
That works. Jaidu's expertise allows everyone to travel in and under the gate (portcullis) freely. The portcullis is opened.
"Good job my find furry friend." Takeda says slipping under the portcullis.
With the weight taken by the now jammed winch, Tyug'u rushes swiftly to the base of the stairs going up to the balcony, so the Tasloi above cannot escape... Grimly he starts up the stairs, his bardiche at the ready.
"Nice one, Jaidu." Nuriyah lets go of the portcullis and ducks underneath, following Tyug'u up the stairs with rapier drawn.
Whats left of the Tasloi come down the stairs only to see you and Nuriyah.
Phoibe waits for the portcullis to raise and then turns at the gate and waves the others through.
Timerus nods at Jaidu as he heads under the portcullis.
Jaidu does a deep bow, as his companions enter through the portcullis. The Ratfolk then runs ahead to where Nuriyah and Tyug'u have gone off to...

Whats left of the Tasloi come down the stairs only to see you and Nuriyah.
Tyug'u fishes in his pouch while stepping forward and up to meet them. Stopping just out of reach of their weapons, he detonates the bomb he has pulled forth, filling the staircase above with a burst of fire and entangling strands!

Then he grabs his bardiche in both hands and awaits any attempt to rush him; his combat reflexes making him a deadly foe in the close confines of the stairway...

"Wow." Nuriyah stares at the smoking corpses for a moment. "Nice one, Tyug'u." She turns to shout down the stairs to the rest of the group. "We're all clear up here! Tyug'u blew them all up!"
Phoibe waves at Nuriyah and says get down here so we can close this portcullis behind us

You find no treasure. The Tasloi had none.
"I agree with Takeda. If we need to make a quick escape, leaving the portcullis open will make it easier." Nuriyah starts up the stairs, right behind Tyug'u.
Regardless of the decision on the portcullis, Takeda moves forward up the steps with the others.
Timerus follows the others knowing the decision to jame the portcullis up is the right one.
Jaidu takes out a clean handkerchief and the gunslinger begins absently cleaning his revolver.
Let's go find the chief's son. Unless these tasloi suddenly start taking 'roids; we should be fine.
The Ratfolk puts his toys away, before taking the lead.
