Avonatha's mental blast causes the serpent to shriek in pain. The other one scootches on up the ship and onto the deck. Seeing their attackers, it opens up its mouth and sprays a stream of green gunk at Mindartis! He tries to dip out of its way but isn't quite quick enough and takes 4 points of bludgeoning damage. More than that though, it smells nasty and something's not right about it. Mindartis's vision starts to blur.

I'll need a DC 18 Fortitude Save or Mindartis will be confused for this round, and up to the next two rounds if you continue to fail saves!

The other serpent scurries up the side of the Hearthseeker and also opens up its mouth to shoot its gunk at at Mindartis. Luckily this blasts is wide right and passes harmlessly by.

Gonna have to retcon a little. Avonatha, you're level 3, which means your cantrips are level 2. Daze only heightens when its at level 3 and then 5, and so on. At this level, daze only does your ability mod in damage, and the chance to stun.

Likewise, Magic Missile gets extra missiles when prepared at a 3rd level spell slot. I'll take a the first three rolls

Rathat, Grab works a little different in 2e. Grab takes an action, and as a summoned creature, the zombie has only two actions. Since you made two rolls for two strikes, I'm gonna say that your zombie attempted two strikes.

Mindartis screams in disoriented agony. Swaayah moves to help him but all in return she gets is three arrows shot at her at point blank range! But the elf is a terrible shot and misses all three!

Man, I really hate that Animate Dead doesn't need a dead body as the a target. Considering you're hauling a dead body up to the deck, narratively, it really seems like it should animate Hlavard.

Rathal creates a zombie out of nothing, and it smacks the green-finned serpent and then ineffectually tried to bite its hide.

The zombie's target takes a bite back and scores a massive hit. crit for 14 points of piercing damage, assuming the zombie's stats are the same as the bestiary's. Attack roll was a 26. The green-finned serpent extends the spines on its back and slithers forward slashing at the zombie, Swayaah, Rathal and Mindartis as it passes by.

In his stupor, Mindartis puts two arrows into Rathal's zombie, for 12 and 10 points of piercing damage. One arrow flies wide, but that is enough to disrupt the spell and the zombie shrivels into almost nothing, leaving behind only a couple of teeth.

Avonatha's spell hits the serpent in the eye, and starts to freeze it slightly. It won't be moving as quick for a bit. Swaayah's stratagem fails.

The green-finned serpent snaps forward at Swaayah, but she just barely dodges out of the way. Another bite cames at her, but she ducks below its lunge. It overcorrects and aims its next bite at her legs. Swaayah jumps up and rolls over the serpent's bite. Amazingly, she still stands, barely clinging to life.

The other serpent tries to get at the pathfinder's backlines. Pink snaps its jaws at Avonatha, but her magical shielding prevents the serpent from actually closing its jaw onto her.

The elf wizard stands her ground, and her spell barely seems to make an impression as the serpent bears down with a barrage of bites. The first bite misses horribly but this only makes Avonatha drop her guard as the next two bites succeed. The second one pierces her arm, but the third one bites into her chest, making it hard for Avonatha to breath. 7 damage and 12 damage, respectively.

Swayaah, an action to interact to grab it from a bandolier or something, I don't think you'd have it in hand, but yeah, you'd have it in a quest. (not a bounty, if I understand the rules correctly)

Two arrows strike the Sea Serpent and the bird ruthlessly attacks as it collapses, dead. Swaayah spends her time just shotgunning potions, like it was a college party. And Avonatha's magic riddled the serpent with holes.

With the corpse and its gorget back on the Hearth, there's not much to do but wait for the tradewinds to kick up and return back to Torrsen in Iceferry.

Days later, back in the Land of the Linnorm Kings, Venture Captain Torrsen eagerly awaits your report.

"The Grenskuldr's are a powerful family in this land. By retrieving their ancestor's artifact, you've managed to help us cement an alliance between the society and them. In fact, we'll be calling in a chit with them soon." His voice is steady and flat, it appears he's gotten over his cold. "Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies about lay ahead, but I'll make sure you're considered as agents for this future mission."

He retrieves a handful of vials from a cabinet, saying they'll be useful in the future. They are lesser winter wolf elixirs.

She barely turns her head to her allies. "Hey, good job everyone. I owe all of you a drink. And now that the mission is officially complete..." Swayaah snaps a finger and Fae runs off to get some shot glasses. "I did buy some good swill. Bartender said it will light a fire in your tummy and then your tail. Wasn't sure if he was literal or joking. One way to find out."
