Sisyar

Sisyar yells down, "Are you okay down there? Need some help?". There's really only one thing he can do though - continue moving.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
And he makes it to the other end (it's 60ft across, right?). Once he's across, he'll continue looking for anything that'll help - rope, ladder, something of that nature.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Von Junzt

I totally forgot my orc ferocity!
Re-do of round 4:
"It's not... this... little... fall... that will... end... Von Junzt... before... his work... is complete..."
The half orc, his limbs bent in weird places, pulls his single healing serum and gulps it down.
Mk 1 healing serum: 1d8 ⇒ 8

And he makes it to the other end (it's 60ft across, right?). Once he's across, he'll continue looking for anything that'll help - rope, ladder, something of that nature.
Sisyar makes it across to the protection of a stone building (which provides a +5 to Fort saves to resist the storm's effects)
That being said, only Cletus is at full exposure to the storm, so I will just roll to see how the next two rounds go for him (and Sisyar, but they'd have to roll a 1 to fail) and then call it.
Round 4:
Cletus: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 2 = 11
Sisyar: 1d20 + 1 + 2 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 1 + 2 + 5 = 20
Round 5:
Cletus: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 2 = 17
Sisyar: 1d20 + 1 + 2 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 1 + 2 + 5 = 20
And just as quickly as it arrived, the worst of the storm passes overheard.
Combat Over!!
Cletus (9/9 SP; 12/12 HP)
Lakritze (0/6 SP; 7/12 HP)
Ronath (9/9 SP; 13/13 HP)

Lakritze

Standing up, Lakritze moves over to the other end with a sigh she leans against the wall of the ravine and slides slowly down there just sitting there.
Give me 10 minutes to catch my breath, Ro. Sounds like the storm is moving away from us or less stronger now.
Also recovering Stamina and speding one Resolve Point.
Sending up a message to Sisyar I am okay, give me 10 minutes then i can start thinking about climbing out of here. Reminder if a telepathic conversation is started you can answer telepathically back. Not sure if Comm-Units will work in this athmosphere. We have closed our armours!
A side glance to Von Junzt You fell as well? You don't look so fresh anymore. Reminder if a telepathic conversation is started you can answer telepathically back. Not sure if Comm-Units will work in this athmosphere. We have closed our armours!
Von Junzt
|
"The storm... was out... to get... me... but... we vanquished... it..." he smiles.
Anyone got a rope or cable line?
| GM Nefreet |
With the storm temporarily abated you can all eventually pool your resources and emerge from the ravine, with Ronath's flight capability making the job much more manageable.
Searching through the ruins you come across an elderly native pinned underneath some rubble. A hoarse sob resounds from the figure and it looks as though the storm has launched a piece of stone into his side. The rise and fall of his torso grows more shallow with each breath.
Safely freeing the elder from the debris requires an Athletics, Engineering or Medicine check.
Sisyar
|
Surprisingly, Sisyar forgot to put any ranks into Medicine. Will rectify that next level!
The rhyphorian sits down next to the man and speaks in a soothing voice. "Everything is alright. We'll get you out of here soon."
Ronath... the Axe-User
|
Slightly earlier
The blue waits for Lakritze to move under her own power then stands protectively over her with tactical pike in hand, watching over her and Von Junzt warily until the lull is comfortable enough for flight.
Even then, he is very cautious and considerate of injuries and under normal circumstances wouldn't even dare move the two.
You SCARED me! We're getting you something to help with falls. Don't know what, but we're not doing that again! Stupid storm. is directed at Lakritze once everyone is back 'topside'.
The half-orc's comment gets a curt nod. "Seems like. Let's not do that again any time soon."
More recently
"Don't try to talk, we're going to get you out of this hopefully alive. That storm was something else, let me tell you."
While the rest of the team works on the rubble, Ronath turns his attention to his patient.
Medicine: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 Assist or lead, not picky, hopefully this will help.
"Just hang in there, we're going to get you out of this. Cletus, Von, you got something on Roll-R to help with moving the rock... just.... so.... there!"
Von Junzt
|
"Might need... another... language... spell..." Von Junzt suggests, having no way of helping, unless he can Grease the victim to help him escape being "grappled" by the rubble.
Lakritze
|
Slightly earlier
Oh for sure i will get something to avoid falling damage in the future you don't have to tell me. That's MY pain and dignity right now... She feels much better and ignores the pain and keeps on moving. Lakritze for sure does not want to scare her partner anymore. Like always i will not stand in the frontline or at the rear with nobody shielding me. We are a team as always and will work in a bigger unit now.
Right now
Lakritze looks at the situation and shakes sadly her head, a gesture she learned in her training.
"I don't think i can help you in any way. I just stand watch over here!" With her pistol in her hand one finger on the safety she guards the group and the antennae show how all her senses are focussed on one task.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
| GM Nefreet |
Cletus's stonecunning proves perfect for the job, and Ronath pulls the elder out from the rubble. He stands, a bit wobbly at first, but his acclimation to the gravity is still obvious. And you all notice that his injuries quickly regenerate once he is free, leaving him completely unhurt in a matter of moments.
He clasps each of you on the shoulder (and Ronath on his knee) one-by-one, making eye contact with you, smiling, and nodding, as though he knows why you are here.
"Calima!" he coughs hoarsely, while gesturing at a far off cluster of spherical structures connected by tubular attachments. "Thaaade," he then says sorrowfully.
Nodding and speaking out loud to himself, he squats and digs in the nearby rubble and produces an urn with two ape-like creatures stylized on the front. He hands it to 1d5 ⇒ 2 Lakritz before wiping a tear from his eye, and heading back in the direction of the village.

"Calima... to you... as well..." Von Junzt waves as elder moves away.
Sisyar
|
"I wish I spoke his language. I would love to chat with him sometime.". Sisyar waves goodbye.
"Should we walk to those spherical structures?" he asks.
Ronath... the Axe-User
|
Ronath watches the older humanoid Regenerate with extreme interest. Could you imagine what it must have felt like if your body was constantly trying to regenerate with a brick on it? *shudder* I'm glad we saved him. Do you have any idea what he gave us, Lakri?
As the local starts to get up to wander off, the blue offers a helpful hand and a nod, before looking at the structure.
"We want to get patched up real quick or are we as good as we're gonna get?" he inquires.
If we can do anything to fix the remaining HP for folks who are 'down', that'd be keen, but not sure if it's possible.
Sisyar
|
Sisyar nods. "I have basic first aid training. I can help heal those wounds."
With Healing Touch, Sisyar can heal 5 HP to an ally (once per day).
Lakritze
|
Lakritze looks Ronath in the eyes The only thing i can imaging in that situation is pain. She visible shudders.
Looking inside and pulling some of it out "This looks like a fusion seal i can't tell you which one it is because i don't know magic and this is not standard issue pact world creation." Holding the seal up looking around if anyone wants to grab it out of her hand "Then i can see gems and one ring. So if i recall two of us can wield magic so if you would be so kind as to indentify it?" She looks as Sisyar and Von Junzt. Holding the urn in front of the one nearest to her. Or is the stuff very obvious to us?
Von Junzt
|
"I'm... not... trained... in the... mystical arts... my abilities... are... a part... of me..."
Von Junzt doesn't have ranks in mysticism.
| GM Nefreet |
After dusting the items off they actually DO appear to be of Pact Worlds manufacture.
I'll just say that the magical functions of the two items are clear, and if anyone can detect magic, the gems appear to purely be currency. And cut with the preciseness of modern technology.
Approaching the structure, you see large letters written in Common adjacent to the sole entrance announcing "CA LI MA", however there is a thick layer of wind-blown dust that has accumulated around the letters, and it looks like there might be more writing underneath.
(if you brush the dust aside...)
The door adjacent to the lettering is partially ajar. Peering inside cautiously, you see that debris litters the floor of this otherwise empty chamber. The floor paneling has been ripped up in several areas, revealing the same ground as the exterior. The doors exiting this entranceway to the north and south remain securely closed.
The ceilings of the circular structures are 20 feet high, while the connecting corridors’ ceilings are 15 feet high. The rooms and corridors are prefabricated structures built using a sturdy plastic material. While the structure as a whole has endured the ravages of time and the storm, there are cracks and holes occasionally breaching the connecting corridors.
Everyone, including Von Junzt, notices an active security camera mounted in the center of this dome's ceiling and fixated on the open entrance.
Percepiton, Cletus: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Percepiton, Lakritz: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Percepiton, Ronath: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Percepiton, Sisyar: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Percepiton, Von Junzt: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (17) - 2 = 15 (Lol, how do you have -2?)
Cletus, Ronath and Sisyar notice that there is a laser security trap linked to the camera (Engineering to disable either).
Von Junzt
|
Von Junzt waits just outside, for the trap to be dealt with.
(Lol, how do you have -2?)
Whispering Gyrus necrograft Von Junzt will sacrifice anything for a bonus to his intimidate rolls, even if it's only a once per day one
Cletus Gravelfinger
|
This is a good place for a reroll, as I think Cletus may be the only one with engineering skills. Still, if someone can make an aid another roll for this, please do.
engineering to disarm, reroll: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
| GM Nefreet |
I see a Nova on your profile, so that 14 turns into a 15, which is a success!
As Cletus powers down the laser he notices there were warning claxons tied to its discharge.
The door to the North (heading towards C2) is locked, but the door to the South is not.
What would you like to do?

Earlier outside
Curious of course Lakritze brushes the dust aside.
"So CA-LI-MA is actually Caution Live Animals. Well i guess that's not a surprise for an Outpost for the Xenowardens. Wonder if we get attacked by fauna inside."
Inside
"We should also take care of the security camera on top! Great job disabling that trap, Cletus! My way of destroying that camera would be to shoot it! If Desna smiles on us nobody is watching the security footage right now."
Cletus really saved us! Glad we have a good team. Althoug not strong in Ship to Ship combat. Ron, do you think there could be carnivorous plants which are dangerous for us? Who knows how wild everything here did grow.
Looking north and then south after the group has established which door is closed and which one is open.
"I would say we try the locked door first. And check for traps on the way!"
Reminder for me seeing the map: We move at half speed because high-gravity.
| GM Nefreet |
Yep. Although I suppose it's no loss that you can't use the Fusion Seal, since there's no wind inside.
Lakritze
|
"Oh and who will wear that ring?" Lakritze holds up the ring.
Von Junzt
|
"The... rebellious... native... knows... how to... operate... this... base...?" Von Juntz looks around. " Unexpected..."
Lakritze
|
"Oh i don't know for sure if but we better be prepared for the worst as in Thade knows how to operate this outpost. They talked about rockets or so..." Antennae twitching, Lakritze struggles to remember something but she sounds confidient about the name of that native living here.

Not only are they possible, they're real. Even heard once of some space fungus from the Deep Black that can destroy an ecosystem if it's not stopped hard. is offered to Lakri.
"Typically, locked doors are used to kind of funnel folks away from a given spot as a crowd control method. Hitting those first is the sort of unorthodox thinking that isn't expected -- and criminals still try to do that." The blue offers as he moves to an 'overwatch' position over Cletus.
Sisyar
|
Sisyar looks around the room, in awe. "Good job on that disabling! I would have had no idea what to do."
Should we rest here to do some healing? I can do Healing Touch to heal someone 5 HP but requires 10 minutes. Let me know if you'd be interested in that!
| GM Nefreet |
I just assumed everyone did Stamina recovery and healing back in the protection of the ruins, where you found Zaius. Feel free to adjust your SP/HP accordingly. Anyone with Medicine and the appropriate tools can attempt to heal HP that way, too.
Cletus promptly disconnects the camera, finding that it was also linked to a live intercom system.
Unlocking the door to the North requires a DC 15 Engineering check.

Sisyar just feel free to decide which one you healed. If i am the healer i would go for the more squishy that would be me. But our level 2 Half-Orc is also in a bad shape and can't use Orc Ferocity anymore, but has a slightly better EAC and KAC.
Since nobody claimed the ring Lakritze shrugs and tries if the ring works too if she puts in on her finger over her glove from her armour of if she has to temporary remove one glove.

Sisyar will heal Von Junzt 5 hp.
"Hold still. You're still bleeding." Sisyar tells the half-orc to stay put. "This may sting a bit. I've never actually done this before.." Sisyar closes his eyes while touching Von Junzt on the shoulder. "May the stars watch over your soul. Heal this man!"
Ronath... the Axe-User
|
Lakri, get over here so I can throw some bandages on the worst of your injuries. It won't help a lot, but it's better than nothing and will keep you from getting an infection.
Ronath pulls out a basic medkit and goes to work on his bond with intent.
Medicine: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 Well, that's a thing. Heal *1* HP, Lakri.

Thanks a lot Ron. Lakritze feels just a little bit better.
I assume this was done before we entered the Outpost.

Searching the next door finds no traps or locks, and an embossed placard above the door reads "Mess Hall". Opening the door reveals an L-shaped plastic table and accompanying chairs that have been haphazardly shoved to the northwest. Another door exits to the east, and your own door sparks and freezes in place when it finishes opening...
More startlingly, though, is a pair of tiny-sized, baboon-like canids waiting to ambush you!

Sensing the intent to harm them Lakritze unholsters her weapon.
Free action

"You stop fight now we no hurt you. You fight, we hurt." Ronath offers, ready to lash out with the pike at one of the creatures should they decide to be stupid.

"Begone... foul... creature!"

The DC of this check is equal to either 10 + your opponent’s total Intimidate skill bonus, or 15 + 1-1/2 × the opponent’s CR, whichever is greater. If you succeed, the target is shaken for 1 round. The duration increases by 1 round for every 5 by which the result of your check exceeds the DC.
Von Junzt’s Special Shaken: You take a –2 penalty to attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks while you have the shaken condition.

Hmm. "Weapon Damage Rolls". I know you can't Supercharge Weapon a creature's natural attacks... But a cursory search of the Rules Forum doesn't bring up anything, so I'll go with it working for now ^_^

Unfortunately, it's a bit too awkward given his size and the close quarters, and he simply fans the attacking creature.
