Yeah, can we get a hireling to cover engineering and computers to help Vyviane. We got the dromada hireling and Commander Mahpu to help us with life and physical science and medicine.

Vyviane is going to buy a few things, including increasing Kelvad to a Professional Hireling (2 fame).

She is also going to buy:

The statewide outages are over but the lines at my house are down. I'm hoping to be back online tomorrow.

I am back and Texas is no longer a 3rd world country...at least until next winter or we realize that deregulating a basic utility to the extent we have is a bad idea.

Our house was without power for 92 hours in freezing temperatures. We bailed about halfway through (Wednesday) and stayed at a friends who only lost power for about 45 minutes total. When we left the house it was 46 degrees inside.

We came back yesterday fully expecting a burst pipe (Texas has reported more in the last week to insurance companies than the total amount reported in 2020 for the whole country) or a dead cat but we either did everything right or got lucky or luckily did everything right because there was no damage to the house.

Today, the roads are almost completely clear, there's barely any snow left and in 4 days, it will be 70 degrees.

Deregulation of basic utilities seems to be a popular activity though - but yeah seems like you guys are probably up for some realignment.

Glad y'all came through it okay. My folk got 10" of snow...which is more than the cumulative amount for the last 15 years. But, they only lost power for a few hours. I've got some friends down in Austin that are still without water or power.

Ahh they do too, but there was certainly enough damage to get them over the line :)

Vyviane does, but I believe Chorizal is our designated driver pilot!

Awesome - he can read up on chases, basically the Pilot action is a move action, but there are full actions etc.

I'm reading the chase rules and I'm not sure what is is we can actually do? There is the pilot actions, chase round and combat round. It seems like the ship has only one pilot and 1 weapon. Hence, I don't see how the rest of us can take our turn.

Roll down a window and fire away. Just watch this chase scene from the movie Ronin. It will tell you what to do.

The vehicle has it's own gun (quite a nice one) but you can hang out windows shooting away with your own sidearms. And yeah that scene from Ronin... wild.

As they are a square ahead the range is 200'

I didn't realize we were that close. If I had known, J'Shun would not have discarded his pistol and taclash because he would be planning to board their vehicle. Can I change my attack to a pistol attack? It would have been a 15 instead of 11 vs. KAC and damage would be.

Yes, a post-apocalyptic future where four-armed mutants throw themselves off moving vehicles in an attempt to sell teh best super-soldier serum known to man

I'm sure it's because of what you do and the scope of your agency but it seems like there's always a disaster going on down there.

I mean, there's always a disaster going on here, but normally the same people don't deal with them all.

When my mom worked for the SBA (Small Business administration) doing emergency loans, she would basically fly from one flood to another about 4 months out of the year.

Bodo, never seems to miss! J'Shun's next order to him is to buy the biggest gun he can find when he levels up.

You don't understand, that's why he never misses! Small gun = easier to stabilize for small hands.

I'm torn, the whole haflings with small hands narrative is hilarious and we should keep that as a running joke, but the trope of tiny halfling carrying a humongous gun is also one I find very funny.
