Istilnar |
Istilnar's shadow nerves allow him to swiftly move away from the Joro's attacking him by phasing temporarily out of existence and then back into reality. Shadow nerves allows him to guarded step 10' once a day.
He aims his plasma claw at the Joro battering Telirix and shoots a ball of plasma at its lower leg.
Plasma Claw + Get'em (non lethal) vs. Green EAC: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 1 - 4 = 15
Electricity/Fire Damage (non lethal): 1d4 ⇒ 3
Makai |
Makai takes a step away from the joros and reloads her gulchgun, another empty shell falls on the ground as a cloud of smoke gets out of the barrel.
The dwarf aims at the Joro and takes a shot...
Attack vs EAC, non lethal: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 3 - 4 = 16
Damage, fire, non-lethal: 1d8 ⇒ 8
At this point, I am not sure which one is still standing, between 2 crits that happened here. Makai is within the range increment 20' to every enemy.
RZMR |
Repent! RZMR shouts at whoever is standing, Give in to the inevitable and accept your defeat.
RZMR moves to daze whoever is left standing. DC 14
Telirix Sporestorm |
What about the barkeep and the divergent clones? Are they still around?
Telirix digs a healing serum out of his pack and downs it. Then he leans over the Commanjoro leader. ""You're a bunch of BozoJoros, and I think it would be a smart and sensible idea for us to take all that dangerous equipment you are walking around with, you're obviously too stupid to use it wisely. Someone might get hurt. "
The lashunta takes the saps and pulsecasters and distributes them to any party members who want them.
"You better lose the flight suits too. You might think you're less vulnerable than most folks. Might cause you to misjudge your abilities, or standing in the community."
Once the Joros are stripped of their armor, Telirix has a series of questions for them.
"Who sent you? Why do you feel you can bully people? Did you have anything to do with Centek going to the hospital?"
If the barkeep or any divergent clones are around, Telirix asks them about local laws and law enforcement.
Healing: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Tel definitely wants a pulsecaster, and will take a sap if there is a spare no one wants.
And I want a ten minute rest, but only if the party agrees now is the time.
RZMR |
RZMR picks up a pulsecaster. I will carry this as a token of your insolence, he berates the unconscious Joros, who remains unmoving in reaction.
Thus always the unrepentant, he adds, but looks like he can use a rest.
In on the break, though there's probably a better place and time.
Telirix Sporestorm |
There were some questions, the admittedly well-buried, most important of which was whether the barkeep or any of the divergent clones were still around and if they had anything to say about local law enforcement.
O.K. Coral |
"We should move out, takes a break and go to the hospital. There is a mystery that someone doesn't want to discover. Oh, and I suggest to bring one of the Joros for questionning. We need to know who he receives his order from."
The Copaxi "breaths" on the still smoking canon of his firearm. This is an additional effect he added on his weapon.
Telirix Sporestorm |
I think we want to get out of the bar before resting, but rest before engaging new people.
"If a little bar fight frightens everyone here so much, the Joros might take a dim view of us. What if we take this lot to hospital? It will make us look like solid citizens. We can question the Bozojoros on the way, and at the hospital we can ask about Centek."
"And what does any of this have to do with our mission? Is this vault an experiment in majority-minority dynamics? Species prejudice? "
O.K. Coral |
" With time, even the strongest machine have some defects. Perhaps, the non Joro are a grain of sand into the machine. Don't forget they were error messages."
Istilnar |
Istilnar, takes one of the pulsecaster pistols.
"If we leave them here we should tie them up and leave them in the storeroom."
Istilnar, removes 50' or rope from his backpack.
He begins rounding up the bodies and preparing to tie them up.
RZMR |
" With time, even the strongest machine have some defects.
RZMR frowns: Time withers down the sharpest of organic minds, operating with integrity only so long as the oxygen flow remains uninterrupted. The electronic mind is timeless, perfect and immortal. You are not wise to question the perfection of the machine!
When leaving the storeroom, make sure to extinguish all illumination. Only you can help save energy!
RZMR stands back uselessly when Istilnar ties up the bodies, waiting for his servos to jump back into gear.
Or however that works. RZMR takes a ten minute pause. Tying up Joros, Boros and Floros (and Clyde) should easily take that long.
RZMR approves of the concept of questioning the Joros. If only these feeble insects would rise from their somniac state...
Istilnar |
Hospital it is.

After rest -- 7/7 SP 8/10 HP 3/4 RP
I think only Istilnar and I grabbed a pulsecaster, and I was the only one who grabbed a sap. That leaves 2 pulsecasters and 3 saps up for grabs. We might need that non-lethal capability again.
Shifty |
You make your way to the OurJoros hospital.
Fluorescent overhead lights keep this sterile building brightly illuminated, and cartoonish images of Joros sporting bandages with smiling faces decorate the pale blue walls. Vidscreens suspended from the ceiling corners relay hospital information, while the main screen shows a whizdisk analysis discussion by three Joros wearing pastel blazers. Several patient cells appear empty, while others maintain their privacy via purple holographic curtains.
Different permutations of Nurse Joro and Doctor Joro work on staff, and they seem to be doing their best to fill the hospital with positive vibes by decorating the facility with custom stickers, and referring to maladies by goofy names (concussions are “thinky-thunkys,” finger lacerations are “handy-bandys,” and nausea is “crummytummy”).
About a dozen other Joro patients appear to be waiting of or receiving
treatment for minor injuries from accidents at home, attended by a comparable number of Joro hospital staff and a small handful of robotic
Whizdisk team mascots that wander the waiting room.
O.K. Coral |
I have no medicine skill. But as a "good Joro" i will act like i already know what to do. At the same time, i will ask where the deviant Joros are when i will have the opportunity.
O.K. Coral visits patients to patients. He uses his innate dexterity to put some smile on the face. He will also try to repair robots if he sees some defect.
sleight of hand : 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

"I think we should search the hospital for more deviant Joros," Istilnar says.
He then begins to check around for deviant Joros.

OK finds the robots to all be well built and maintained, it is almost like Joros maintain a very neat and orderly society. The Bunny Ear and Thumbs Up mascot robots look super cute though.
Istilnar starts looking about, a nurseJoro spots him and approaches in a friendly manner "Are you lost? Looking for someone?"
Istilnar |
"We are looking for the other non Joros."
Makai |
Sorry folks, Paizo did not display me notifications for new posts. Odd. I must say. No Medicine check
Makai takes a pulsecaster and a sap. When other are resting she reloads her gulchgun, just in case.
During their visit to the hospital, she walks to laying draelik and says
"Hey chap, you're ok?"
Shifty |
"Yes his ID showed him as Centek, he was brought in by a small group who had found him like this and he was barely conscious. Looks like he must have fallen down a really long staircase"
"You can talk to him, but he's been unresponsive for a while now"
Centek looks very unconscious.
Istilnar |
Istilnar, casts healing touch on Centek.
Healing Touch (Su) - 1st Level, Once per day, you can spend 10 minutes to magically heal an ally up to 5 Hit Points per mystic level.

Centek looks very unconscious.
Telirix talks to the staff first. "Was that group the Commanjoros by any chance? They tried to threaten us, then forcibly take our goods. You should send a medical team to BoThumbs Up Bar. While defending ourselves, we might have damaged them slightly "
Then he takes up Makai's suggestion. He stands bedside staring down at Centek. And tries a little telepathic communication. Gently nudging the draelik's consciousness.
Makai |
From what I saw - no. But we are in a hospital.
Makai takes out her datapad and attempts to bring a robotic attendant to asses the medical condition of Centek...
Computer: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
A creative use of other skills to assess one health status ;)
RZMR |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |
The Centek form looks unhealthy, RZMR says, howcasing the full depth of his medical knowledge.
He stands over the immobile form, and concentrates before sending a telepathic message:
CENTEK! YOUR MASTER CALLS YOU! WAKE FROM YOUR SLUMBER, WEAK CREATURE! WAKE, AND SERVE YOUR OVERLORD!
Casting telepathic message. For what it's worth. Basically RZMR's version of 'ping centek'
Telirix Sporestorm |
"What is Centek's prognosis, doctor? And do you know where he worked? We're still trying to find jobs and maybe we could help out there. "
O.K. Coral |
"May you gives us a minute doctor?"
He turns to the other. "Obviously, we don't know what is the condition of Centek. But, I think now, it would be a good moment to contact Vex to explain to him what it going on. He may have some clues about this situation."
The copaxi also ask the doctor where our the personnal effects of Centrek. He will talk about this is how they would like to contribute to Joros society.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
"I'm sorry, you aren't members of his household, so cannot access his personal effects" The doctor also seems a bit uninterested "I understand your desire to fit in and be gainfully employed, but this is a hospital and you can't tell the difference between a thinky-thunky and a crummy-tummy"
On the other hand there is now a crowd around Istilnar "Hey, make the lights again", a few Joros have their mobiles out. Good timing, as the mascot robots are arriving, potentially allowing for a cool photo!
RZMR |
This Centek looks more like a case of touchy feely, RZMR voices his concern, and undiplomatically adds your knowledge is clearly too basic to be of any help. Point us to the specimens that 'found' this Centek.
Of course, not without adding Please dispose of any sharp objects in the designated container.

Get'em on orange. Draw pistol.

"Ok, Now this is officialy a Dystopia.", says O.K. Coral. "Come Hellraiser!"

Makai takes out her pulsecaster and takes a shot at the pointed robot.

There is a flurry of activity and Telirix shouts a warning which gets a whoop of excitement from the Joros who seem to think this is a staged publicity event. Camera flashes galore! His pistol seems to be a prop to them, and his commands sound like he's just 'coaching the team'.
OK gets through the crowd but it is an effort and then misses the shot.
Makai finds too many people in the way for a clear shot.
OK finds that anyone who attacks from within a crowd would be 'off target'
