Rokgurn...what room to the Northeast do you mean? I assume you're talking about the one with the door to the east (the one Daathiel is in front of now on the map) but let me know if otherwise...
Daathiel leads you down a south passage; there's a door in the eastern side of the hallway. You suspect it might've once been a secret door as frescoes had been painted over, but age has chipped away much of the painting and you can clearly see it for what it is...
…a vault that is relatively empty save for numerous open treasure chests, barren weapons racks, and unadorned armor stands. Three squat urns of fired clay painted with funeral scenes sit on the floor against the southern wall.
In addition to what his gloves allow him to see, Daathiel detects no traps nearby nor dies he see or detect any signs of foes, either within the room or without…
My apologies, my profile did not show a new Gameplay post…
Both jars contain 3,500 gp. In addition, the jar on the left contains what you later identify to be incandescent blue, iridescent and orange ioun stones and the jar on the right contains an amulet of mighty fists +2…

Yuri nods in agreement. "Let's see what's in that one as well... What's the worst that could happen...?"
"Most likely, a curse on the grave goods damning your soul to the clutches of Asmodeus," Daathiel replies offhandedly. "Let's be glad that didn't happen."
"We had been sticking to the left. Let's go back to that pattern."
Daathiel goes back to the intersection and takes the east fork.
While you find no traps, you find the northern passages to be a dead end...however, your senses do detect a secret door near the fork where you turned north...
Lying on the floor of this otherwise empty chamber is a mummified corpse...
Rokgurn's senses detect no undead within this small chamber...

Whisper has a look at the mummy. This field of study is not his speciality but he does have what he would consider a rudimentary grounding in this subject.

"I agree. We should return him to his sarcophagus."
Daathiel thinks of adding that doing so would be respectful, but the Pathfinders are looting all the grave goods. With permission of the heir, true, but it is still uncomfortable.
As respectfully as possible, you carry the mummified corpse and re-inter him in the sarcophagus…
…just a moment later, you see a spirit arise from the sarcophagus, a noble man, that bows before you.
”You have my sincere gratitude for returning my body so that I might truly rest now. While I died long before ignominy fell upon my family name, I have heard much from the spirits within and know the story…and imagine you know as well since you’ve made it this far. So thank you again for returning me, even knowing the curse my family brought upon itself. If you have nothing further of me, I go to my rest…”

Daathiel already did consider that option.

" - so should we go back to that teleportation circle?"
We could possibly use Teleport spells, or Find the Path if anybody has that, if we get stuck.
Never mind, my mistake - that post was referencing an earlier part of the complex, which we did indeed escape by teleporting. This part of the complex was just down a set of stairs, and I don't think there was any uncertainty about how to get out.
Daathiel leads the way further around the level, heading to the southeast corner.
Daathiel finds the SE corner a dead end…when he backtracks and takes the passage west, he comes across another secret door…he detects no traps upon it…

Daathiel looks at his companions packed tightly together single-file.
"Perhaps we can arrange ourselves differently in the hallway? Like on either side of the door, and not conveniently lined up for whatever may be waiting on the other side?"
He moves off to one side of the door.
Anybody else have Gloves of Reconnaissance? Daathiel is not really a "kick in the door" style of PC...

"Why, I could get us out of here any time I wanted," Interjects Vladek as though finally passing beneath an air shaft out from deep within the labyrinthine pyramid of his own mind.
Since you mention it, I *do* have teleport prepared.
This room appears to be a beautifully decorated bathhouse, complete with a large pool of crystal-clear water that dominates the center of the room. A pair of stone statues depicting reclining medusas decorate niches to the east and the west, while a large caption along the southern wall reads, in the common tongue, “Have you ever beheld a smiling face and not named it beautiful?”
Within the pool, you see a medium greenish creature, with snakes for hair…while you are confident she does not see you, her gaze is upon the door you floated through and is upon you…you feel your body start to harden…
Make a DC21 Fort save or be turned to stone; from what I’ve read, since you can still see while on the ethereal plane, you are subject to its gaze. Your saves are high though so I think you’ll pass easily…
Rokgurn flies back to the hallway to speak to the others. He motions them back a bit and whispers to the party.
"It is a good thing that you did not look through this door. There appears to be a Medusa there or so Whisper tells me. I might have been petrified if not for my training."
”How do we finish off a Medusa without looking directly at it? I can cast Echolocation on myself and shut my eyes, but it doesn’t work on other people.”

"Rokgurn and I can also (and have) cast that spell. I believe Vladek has otherwise prepared to face a medusa. And for Jack and Yuri, if bad luck should befall them, I can undo it."
Pretty sure Jack and Yuri have high enough Fort that they would only fail on a 1, in which case Daathiel would use Saving Finale. So buffs, open door, and attack? If that is the plan, Daathiel will cast Good Hope on the party, then Inspire Greatness and Jack and Yuri, Open/Close on the door, and move into the room with eyes closed. He can't start Naturalist until he "sees" and identifies the medusa, but having an active performance on Jack and Yuri will allow Saving Finale.
