Rokgurn's form begins to shimmer as he activates his sipping jacket.
The Druid does not cast a spell as a mere human but does an air dance instead (Natural Spell) and the sound of whistling wind can be heard throughout the room. Rokgurn focuses his attention on the Osyluth targeting Daathiel and he creates four globes of electrical energy to attack that bone devil.

"Get out of here Daathiel. I can keep them busy."

He shrugs if it can be said that an air elemental can shrug.

"Or dispel them if you can."

Good thing I went with Earth Child as the buff instead of bane otherwise that would have hit.

Jack shrugged off most of the cold that bothered his companion, but a little of the frigid air managed to get through. He grinned as he appeared to successfully distract the ice demon from casting anything at the rest of the party and Jack gave a reassuring pat to the griffon as he channeled magic through his sword. The purple devil has somehow gotten too close to Yuri for him to use his dorn-dergar and the difficult terrain surrounding them would prevent him from simply stepping back 5 feet, so instead the dwarf resorts to repeatedly head-butting the paralyzed devil with his boulder helmet, like a music fan gone amok.

That persistent rod is paying dividends, Alie; that's twice now that the ice devils would've passed the save had it been a regular rod...

Alie makes good use of the wand again and the blue ice devil is also paralyzed and comes falling back to solid ground...

Yuri switches tactics to old school brawling tactics which pay off, as three of his headbutt maneuvers smash into the purple ice devil and crunch through it's outer shell...

Rokgurn shrugs at the prideful bard's comments taking them in stride.
The druid's form reappears as solid again as he preserves the remainder of his potion in his sipping jacket.

He motions and directs his balls of lightning at the same bone devil (orange) again and hopes that they connect this time. He carefully wards himself against the perils of ice and cold.

(Redirecting a spell is a move action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity, He casts Resist Energy (cold) defensively. This is an automatic success considering his level and wisdom but I will roll it anyways.)

GM Otha:
Rokgurn and Whisper will travel to the Ethereal Plane. The bone devils are probably not going to be sure where he went. Spellcraft cannot be used to identify SLA or SU powers. Interesting fact is that their Dimensional Anchor ability would not even work against him now as he is on the Ethereal plane. :)

I would imagine that the wall of ice would have to come down first for the familiar's action to have any effect. The wall of ice would block line of effect and probably line of sight as well if the ice is opaque or translucent. Generally non-magical ice is mostly opaque unless it is extremely thin. Of course if someone else would smash the wall down and Qadathra delay his action until after that event then it could work. :)

As the ice wall vanishes soon after the bone devils return to their plane, Daathiel leads the rest of you to the now vacant room from which you entered, where he soothes the party’s wounds. In less than a minute, the frigid air in the room to the east dissipates, and the room can now be easily tolerated...
