@GM Otha - It is a feat from the Ultimate Magic book. The crux of the feat is that you sacrifice a prepared spell or slot to force a re-roll of an attack that was successful as an immediate action. The level of the spell sacrificed imposes a penalty on the re-roll equal to the spell level.

There is absolutely no flavor text included in the feat itself to explain the visual effects of the re-roll so I imagine the player can simply describe how he thinks it might work according to his faith (Nature effects for a Druid, Fire effects for a Cleric of a Fire god etc.) or more blandly the GM can simply have it work without any effects at all.

@Alie and Vladek - Unless your characters have a way to see through the fog you will not be able to target anything beyond 5'. You might want to rethink your actions. Daathiel and Rokgurn have Blind Sight 40' which cuts through the fog. I don't think other characters do.

Thanks. I believe that since Fortune is a supernatural effect rather than a spell that (superstitious) Yuri can accept it but I'll go with whatever the GM rules.

Also, Vladek, note that if you have the Cackle hex (I think maybe you don't?) you can keep Fortune going on Yuri (as well as any other hexes you get going, including even other Fortune hexes on other party members) throughout the fight. There is also a magic item (witch's blouse, I think?) that gives you Cackle - my witch used that rather than spending the hex to get it - very helpful!

Rokgurn flies twenty feet straight up and then over the heads of the demons to just in back of his Treant ally. He then quickly stows his rod into his Handy Haversack.

The omox demons retaliate...both purple and orange project slime from off their bodies towards Rokgurn...

Sorry Rokgurn, I double-checked, and misread the lines as they were next to one another...but it still looks like it hits; should've been +20 instead of 21. They didn't mention the range increment in the stat block, but I did find it elsewhere...you're in the second increment, which would make it a 21 instead of a 24...that still hits your touch AC, right?

The griffon backed up since it wasn't able to engage, but stayed within range of striking if the demons were to go after the rest of the party. As he shrugged off some of the acid damage, Jack remained focused on clearing a path because there were two more to go.

Both attacks do hit Rokgurn. His tough elemental body shrugs off the physical aspect of both attacks (DR 5/-) but the acid still burns stripping away the remainder of his False Life spell. He spins around quickly (Reflex saves) in order for the slime not to harden thus impeding his movement.

Reflex vs Entangle: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26

Reflex vs Entangle: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (3) + 19 = 22

The second attack does stick but then his Talisman of Freedom activates as the Entangle effect triggers it providing him Freedom of Movement for 3 rounds and preventing the condition from taking hold.

Rokgurn should now be at -10 hit points total on the board. The remainder of the damage was sucked up by his False Life and his DR.

@GM Otha - Purple is in the third range increment (so at -4) and Orange is in the fourth range increment (so at -6). Both attacks do
just hit. His Displacement (miss chance) is no longer active. Thanks for checking. :)

GM, did you process Yuri's Come and Get Me AoO's as part of the demons' attack routines? Those are each triggered *before* the demon's attack is resolved (and if the demon fails the DC 24 Fort save if I hit with my AoO then the rest of their turn would be interrupted). Never mind, just noticed the Fort save later in your post!

It looks like Orange's second attack (first towards Yuri) would have triggered Yuri's first boulder helmet AoO (posted in a spoiler in my previous turn) which was a total to hit of 40 (I'm assuming that hits) for 25 regular magical B dmg + 4 sonic dmg + DC 24 Fort save or dazed for 1 round. If it passes the Fort save, its attack would have hit Yuri, for 23 (+4 more from Come and Get Me - it doesn't look like you've added this?), less 2 for Yuri's DR, for a total of 25 dmg.

Purple's second attack (first towards Yuri) would also have triggered a Yuri AoO, but as you've noted that missed, so the only adjustment needed there (I think) is that Purple's dmg towards Yuri should be +4 (from Come and Get Me), for 23, less 2 for DR, or 21. (That would also increase the dmg that Purple took from Retribution by 2).

Total dmg to Yuri for the round = 46, or 8 higher than what you have noted (the extra all coming from the Come and Get Me penalty).

Retribution ignores just about all obstacles to damage - I'm not certain which of those two damage rolls were dealt by the one I cursed, but it looks either way like it should've suffered more than 7 damage. I'm not even sure the target's own defenses would mitigate any of the backlash.
