Yeah, I always check to make sure my latest post shows up in the "Recent Threads in..." list at the bottom of the page when it doesn't show up beneath the previous latest post in the Gameplay Thread; that way I know (Think??!!) it's gone through. I almost always refresh and/or wait a bit to make sure it truly did, though.
Had some unusual wonkiness this morning: My games page said there were 8 new posts in Gameplay and 4 new ones in Discussion since late last night! The Discussion number was correct, but the only new Gameplay posts were 2 from the Raven. Weird.
Kintargo GM
Right now, my tab said there were 11 new posts since my last post. There were, in fact, five.
Aisling Talbot
I agree that the website is suprisingly *bad* for a large company. But any migration would have to keep existing posts, threads, games, comments, avatars and so on or risk howls of protests from peopel. Easier to keep it as is, i think. Note that's not teh same as 'better'.
Vantine Roubanis
Wow, yeah the terrible dice are all over us. I think Vantine only needed a 5 or better to hit.
The dice rolls are just astounding. Nyxra is well on course to outdo the longest string of bad dice rolls I've ever had back a couple of years ago.
This is starting to remind me of a certain miserable imp fight. Except this time the 'imp' is fantastically dangerous.
We might still not manage this!
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
My games list said there were 3 new posts here when there were only 2. I wonder if maybe it's counting edited posts as new? Maybe?
Thank you Nice Dice Roller for the 7 on the healing roll! I was readying a "You got ripped off--this thing doesn't work!" quip to say to the Raven when it (almost) inevitably rolled a 1. ;)
The Raven
Her grapple check should be her Grapple CMB (BAB + STR Mod + any boni to grapple CMB she has), although I expect that would be higher significantly than "9 - 4" so in this case it doesn't matter.
Kintargo GM
The blinded condition gives a -4 penalty to "Str and Dex skill rolls." I wasn't sure it applied, so I applied it. But yes, it would've just been +9 without that.
Aisling Talbot
I have to say I think alowing a blinded character to make AoO is off, even if it's ok by RAW :( Also, a glaive is reach, how can she use it to defend aginst a grapple?
Kintargo GM
Normally, I would agree - however, he is grappling her, which is why I felt that she would know where he is enough to AoO the square, so to speak.
The glaive does normally have reach, but she has a specific archetype that lets her use reach polearms next to her with a -4 penalty to the attack. It's what she's been doing with her immediate actions so far.
The Raven

No penalty to attacks, just skills. Which, I suppose, is a sign I should stop trying to grapple since she has a 50% of escaping. Hopefully Aisling and her ghost sword can run her down.
The Raven
Thank f@*$ for that.
I think you want to be one square SW though so Aisling can still charge.
Kintargo GM
You did, in fact crit, and would've even if she wasn't blind.
Nyxra Ilphukiir
Good, because I think I was calculating my Power Attacks wrong the whole time.
...not that it really mattered much, considering I kept rolling so poorly...
Kintargo GM
-1 to hit and +3 to damage at this level - at least, with her two-handing the sword.
Although, has Nox actually hit with PA yet? She might actually do more damage than I thought with it. Oh, shoot, she does. Uh... yikes.
The Raven
<3
That's 44 damage in one round, assuming she didn't stop any of us with AoO's or whatever. Might be game.
Kintargo GM
It is indeed game for her! At least this time around. She was literally on her last HP.
EDIT: You do, to be clear, have time enough to loot the place. Just not too much time.

I'm updating Jessibel for level 4 and have a few questions:
It's OK to assume that Jessi can easily buy a masterwork buckler, correct? I want to get rid of all the pesky -1 penalties to skills (Armor Check) and especially to her Weapon Finesse attacks while I'm updating.
I'm doing some background work for the Hell's Rebels game I'm currently running on the forums and stumbled upon the tidbit that Chuko of the War Cage (Y1) offers a 5% discount to adventurers. Being the cheapest noblewoman in all Cheliax, can Jessibel attempt a Diplomacy check to maybe bump Chuko's attitude toward her up to Friendly and get the discount?
Jessibel Diplomacy Check (improve initial attitude--Chuko): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24 Aw yeah! Chuko's totally into some of Jessibel's parts--her breasts, thighs, and drumsticks! ;D
The Fushi Sisters are/were missing in action??!! Did I miss this or just forget it? Have we remedied this situation?
Kintargo GM
Yes, that's fine for both the buckler and the discount.
You did miss it, but you can send a search/rescue team come next rebellion turn.
The Raven
They're missing but I don't think our characters are aware of it. Like, they don't have to live in the Nest if they don't want to, they're adults. But maybe we do know they're missing?
Kintargo GM
They actually do live in the Nest at the moment - they and Rexus are the only permanent residents. (The other teams have homes elsewhere.) While it isn't unusual for them to spend a few nights away from the Nest, they haven't sent word back for a few days, either. In-character, it's a bit early to say that they're missing, but they won't be coming back for the rest of the week, either.
The Raven
That's what I figured. The Raven would have been a lot more worried if he knew they were missing.
Kintargo GM
Also, Aisling, I think you're wearing that enchanted breastplate you found on the Asmodean in the spider room? You will want to get it modified, because it does bear symbols of Asmodeus on it. I'll assume she hid it from view and then put it on once they got to the Phantasmagorium, but wearing it in public would cause people to assume she's a member of that Church. Probably a bad look for her, unless she's going undercover.
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
Also for Aisling...we recently found a headband of inspired wisdom +2 that you'll probably want to claim (see THIS POST).
I'm going to try to compile a list of all the loot we've found inside Hocum's before the buzz of my three-coffee morning wears off.
Aisling Talbot
Yay for more spell slots! And yes, I wan't to get that armour modified asap. I will level up at the weekend. Lvl 4 is nice, btu for a cleric lvl 5 is where the magic starts to happen! Pun intended.
Even if we don't have the fushi sisters I think we need to put a team on finding Nox. Maybe try a sleep spell or some knockout alchemy? If she's alseep she can't teleport away from us.

OK...here's my treasure compilation. It still needs to be sifted through a bit.
LOOT LIST – HOCUM’S PHANTASMAGORIUM
Post #.....Loot
#2313: a handful of coins - one platinum, four gold, and two silver, as well as a tarnished copper ring. Discovered (and presumably grabbed) by Aisling in #2316.
#2353: scrolls of doom, cause fear, remove fear, and inflict light wounds; +1 breastplate with Infernal markings suggesting it’s the property of a member of the Church of Asmodeus (Jessi failed Spellcraft in #2359); silver dust (75 gp—botched Jessibel Appraise (12) in #2354); Hocum’s charm (25 gp to right buyer—Jessi accurately Appraise in #2354).
#2424: 2 Victocora signet rings (10 gp? But probably going to Rexus anyhow….)
#2527: Redactors’ iron holy symbols of Asmodeus (2 gp each…not sure how many we got)
#2531: alabaster eye, would be worth about 150 gp to the right buyer. Poor Appraise rolls by Jessi in #2434 (9) and Vantine in #2435 (7).
#2547: Rare tome (The Inward Facing Circle) – no value given; not sure we scooped it up.
#2646: chained box (Jessi and Vantine know it’s powerful and magical—see #2650); dust of emulation (IDed by Vantine in #2647); half-dozen books on planar theory (these serve as masterwork tools for Knowledge (planes) checks, giving the user a +2 bonus to the roll.).
#2653: headband of inspired wisdom +2 (NOT yet IDed); silver and mother-of-pearl inkpen (200 gp, accurate Appraise check from Jessi in #2654); platinum disc inscribed with leering angel (100 gp, accurately appraised (and claimed) by Jessi in #2654).
#2663: picture of Rexus’s parents (IDed by Nyxra in #2666)
#2671: Unredacted books, 4 out of a 5-volume set.
#2793: book collection worth 900 gp (accurately appraised by Jessi in #2794); volume # of the unredacted set of books in #2671 (no idea if they’re worth anything); soul tomes of the Sacred Order of Archivists - created by the scrivenite and filled with various lore and information that they had personally known in life. If used as a tool for Knowledge (history) or Knowledge (local) checks, they give a +4 bonus to the check. Even without looking for anything specific, they might offer some insight into what happened here - and what sort of things the Asmodeans may have stolen. (IDed by Jessi in #2794).
Edited #2646: Should've read dust of emulation, not disappearance.
Kintargo GM
There're thirteen iron unholy symbols.
If I gave the impression of you taking The Inward Facing Circle, I apologize. It was part of the reward for the scrivenite, but the outsider wasn't actually carrying it.
Unfortunately, Nox had most of the treasure on her. She had a magic glaive, magic chainmail, some more gold, and lots of treasure in general. Well, I'm sure it'll be fine.
Also, now your Rebellion max rank is 10. It was 5 up until this point, so you're just in time to get that upgrade.
Also, notoriety for doing this little thing: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Did we ever figure out what the creepy Hellraiser box was? Do we need to do something to take it with us?
Vantine Roubanis
If it's any consolation I'll be making you a list of Vantine's loot that will be coming back to the group pile.
Also Vantine won't be taking a share of anything gained.
Vantine Roubanis
Well actually it's not much...
Scroll: Summon Monster III
Scroll: Euphoric Cloud
Scroll: Touch of Idiocy x2
Wand: Acid Arrow (7 charges)
Potion of Lesser Restoration

Did we ever figure out what the creepy Hellraiser box was? Do we need to do something to take it with us?
You did not, in fact, identify it... or, indeed, figure out how to make its chains retract.

In hunting down the last Organization checks, I found a post where the amulet of natural armor +1 we got from the Red Jills' strix leader (Remember them?) was supposed to go to Nyxra...but it's not on her sheet yet.
Yeah...the Fushi Sisters reported back with some intel on Hocum's but never returned in person. Very suspicious....
Kintargo GM
The Raven's rampant pyromania may be cause for concern...
Eh, I'm sure it'll be fine.
Kintargo GM
I'll give it until tomorrow before moving us on, because I know it's the weekend and things tend to slow down somewhat.

New Class Features
Inspiring Example (Ex): At 4th level, the sword-devil forms a bond with her companions, inspiring them to greater zeal in combat by the example of her weaponcraft. As a standard action, the sword-devil may grant half her death vow bonus against a single victim of her death vow to all allies within 30 feet who can see and hear her. This bonus lasts for a number of rounds equal to the sword-devil's Charisma modifier (minimum 1). This bonus does not stack with any death vow bonuses possessed by the sword-devil‘s allies; they use whichever bonus is higher.
This ability replaces hunter's bond.
Untouchable (Ex): At 4th level. the sword-devil's confidence and personality distract her foes in combat, making her more difficult to hit. When unarmored and unencumbered. the sword-devil may add her Charisma bonus (ifany) to her AC and her CMD. In addition, the sword-devil gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC at 6th level, and every three sword-devil levels thereafter (9th, 12th, 15th, and 18th). She loses these bonuses when she wears any armor, when she carries a shield, or when she carriers a medium or heavy load.
This ability replaces spells.

I'm gonna guess that Aisling is asleep at the moment, so I'll roll her stealth and move us forwards.
Aisling Talbot
It's okay Aisling, Vantine has everything under control. ;p
Words to maek her blood run cold :p
(I really like Vantine, I'm sorry to lose her!)
