I rolled the nat 20 for Jessi's Knowledge check about Hocum's yesterday but couldn't come up with a good reason for why she'd know about the place...and apparently closed the tab without making a post. I was surprised the nat 20 was still there this morning, so I made up something that might explain it.
Jessibel really hopes that no one can hit the high DC of the Sense Motive check I included in my post. ;)
Vantine Roubanis
Well I guess maybe we should continue with our current habit of recruiting and raising money at this time then. We don't have many options until we advance some teams, and that takes money.
Kintargo GM
Indeed it does. I'm kind of surprised that they expect you to have a third tier team already... though I have been accelerating somewhat. This is supposed to happen 7 weeks into the rebellion, but I thought that pace was rather too slow for a PbP. I may change my mind and give you weeks at a time that don't have any personal missions, but that's still in the future.
The Raven
"Jay taps her fingers on the table, cocking her head in puzzlement. "Why are we talking as though this museum place is likely to have any enemies at all? It shouldn't, right? It's been in use, unlike the Livery you've mentioned, and it doesn't seem like it was used for transport, like the Wasp's Nest was..."
Has it been empty for 20 years or is it in use. I am confusion.
Should have time tomorrow evening to put together a rebellion phase post.
Kintargo GM
The Sacred Order of Archivists has been using it, but it hasn't been open to the public, and the main building hasn't been in use. Jay's saying that she thinks it's unlikely that you'll see the sort of new inhabitants you saw at the Livery.
Kintargo GM
Aisling can try to recruit some of her prosecuted criminals if she wants. Or at least point the Ravens to them. I'd still say it'd require a recruit team rebellion action, but I like the thinking!
Alexius Vashnarstill
So watta we wanna do for the Rebellion Phase?
1: Recruit Aisling's clients. What were these going to be, Sneaks?
2: Send the Fushi sisters to scout the museum.
3: Recruit Supporters.
Also, everyone OK with selling everything on the sell list? Decent amount of gold there.
Kintargo GM
The Fushi sisters can collect rumors about the museum, but they can't actually do the Scout action. It's different enough that the information will be different.
You would be getting sneaks from that, yes.

Rebellion Actions look good to me.
I sort of worked on the Loot List a while ago (HERE), but I'm not sure it was ever finalized.
Vantine Roubanis
I've marked the items Vantine is keeping with a red V on the sheet. One of the scrolls is already gone. I botched the roll to transfer the spell to her mirror of course. I'll have to go back and look to see which one it was.
Otherwise I'm good with selling everything on the sheet except the potions, which we should keep for group use.

Which Event?: 1d100 + 20 ⇒ (49) + 20 = 69
Well, that's interesting. The Fushi sisters've gone missing after reporting their findings. I'll get a post together moving it on later today.
During the next Upkeep phase, attempt a DC 15 Security check. If you’re successful, the team is rescued or returns to base, but must wait until the next week to be used for rebellion actions. If you fail, the team remains missing for another week. If you roll a natural 1 on this Security check, the team is lost.
Now you are below minimum treasury, by the way, so you'll want to donate some GP to its treasury.

Now you are below minimum treasury, by the way, so you'll want to donate some GP to its treasury.
Wait--How are we supposed to rob the local bank of Abadar when we failed to recruit our team of crooks??!!
On to Plan B, I guess....
Jessi's only got about 65 gp in her personal stash, but she can donate a little to the cause.
Kintargo GM
Unless someone's taken from the collective stash and not edited the loot tracker, you do have a whole lot more to divvy up.
Also, did anyone ever identify the amulet? Because it would be useful to anyone if they have.
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
According to THIS POST, we've already divvied up most of the treasure on the Loot List. We'd each get 850 gp with 32.74 gp put into the rebellion treasury.
Jessi eventually IDed the strix's amulet as an amulet of natural armor +1, but I don't believe anyone claimed it.
Kintargo GM
Welp, there you have it! I think I did add the 32.74 into the treasury at the time, now that you've reminded me... though it doesn't actually look like it. So now you can add it, and I will!
Kintargo GM
Consider that you might also face some devils, given Asmodeans. Of course, you might get lucky and find that it's just a bunch of acolytes without any power.
Kintargo GM
So do we know the Sisters are missing yet or will that come later?
That will come later - they've reported in, but not come back to the Wasp's Nest yet. Presumably, you'll find out that they're missing within a few days more.
Vantine Roubanis
Maybe Nyxra should take the amulet? Vantine has the worst AC, but she can try to stay away from dangerous things, and +1 isn't really going to do her much good anyway.
It looks like Nyxra has the second lowest AC and she's as likely as anyone to be in harm's way.
Kintargo GM
Aisling, if you want, you can have had your longsword reforged in silver over the past few days since Rexus first mentioned Hocum's.
Aisling Talbot
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa wrote:At the mention of Asmodeans, she turns to the party's moral and legal compass, Aisling. "What do we do if we run into any Asmodeans inside Hocum's?" she asks. "If we leave any living witnesses, the church has the ability to come after us a lot harder than the CCG goons or even the dottari."Aisling sighs. She'd love to have a clear answer to that quesiton herself. "Killing isn't always murder, legally "
I'm aware that in RL there's a fairly controversial case in the US right now and I don't want anone to think Aisling's views are mine here. I don't plan to say any more than that.

Sounds good to me. I've added 850 GP to my golds.

Going anywhere with Raven is like trying to walk a cat off leash...
Yep! That's why had Jessi plop her butt down and just enjoy the view.
The Raven
In the Gameplay Thread, Vantine wrote:Going anywhere with Raven is like trying to walk a cat off leash...Yep! That's why had Jessi plop her butt down and just enjoy the view.
The Raven hasn't had a chance to be as bad an influence on Jessi as I'd hoped because of Aisling someone.
Kintargo GM
If anyone wants to move forwards, feel free - otherwise I'll assume you're just heading deeper in rather than going into the doorway to the left.
Vantine Roubanis
Sorry for the slow posting the last few days. Aside from the holiday my car was totaled in an accident last week (no injuries) and I'm having to deal with all the life clutter that causes.
Kintargo GM
Oof. Hope everything gets cleared up for you soon, Vantine.

I'm glad you are not injuried! Sorry to hear about your car tho :(
Kintargo GM
Okay, so I just checked the skeletons' CMD and my immediate reaction was "their CMD is what?" That is to say, Raven got blocked on his first move, unfortunately. He might not get hit, at least?
The Raven
Why can't he move? He moved through Nyxra's and Vantine's squares, not the skeles. If he fails the acrobatics check he just provokes as normal.
Kintargo GM
Oh, huh. I thought it was through any threatened space, not just the skeletons. Carry on then.
Kintargo GM
I'll give Nyxra a couple hours before botting her.
The Raven
These guys having 20+ CMD has to be a misprint. There's no way it's that high.
Unless they're large and you forgot to tell us.
Which I'm all for.
Zombie King Kong.
Aisling Talbot
Anythign with high Str, decent Dex and BAB can get good CMD quite easily. If these things have Str 18, BAB +4 and Dex 16 that gets a CMD of 21, no problems. It's more difficult for PCs to do that because high Str tends to mean lower Dex and vice versa.
Kintargo GM
Yes, their Str & Dex are quite high. Note the Str. bonus to their damage. Their Dex is not too much lower than that.
Kintargo GM
Where to next, folks? You haven't searched the box office, or the big circular hall.
Kintargo GM
The smaller room on the left part of the map that you have revealed. That's the "box office" of the museum. Where the ticket seller and such stood, I gather. I'm not wholly sure how it functioned, but I'm doing the best with what the AP gave me. xD
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
No, no, NO!! That's the office where they store all their empty boxes! Several now have cats sitting in them!
Kintargo GM
I'm not sure why the DC is 30 on that Perception check. It feels like it might be a misprint, but I'm not sure.
Kintargo GM
I've updated the loot list, taken away the selling fodder and changed how much party currency there is under the assumption that we've distributed and sold that. Hopefully it's correct, though, because I otherwise will have lost a fair amount of cash for you all.
Kintargo GM
Everyone doing alright? We've slowed down, which I imagine is a side effect of the upcoming holidays, but I wanted to check in.
Aisling Talbot
I'm still around, I thin part of the slwodown is nobody wants to rush in and get bit by wahtever killed that guy. I've solved that by volunteering, as Iomedae would want me to :)
Kintargo GM
Bravo! xD I'm sure it'll be fine.
