Sorry for the delay. Saturdays, you know. I'll try to get things up tonight, but I can't promise that. I'm kind of feeling off, and it'll be a big-ish post.

EDIT: I looked at the AP and realized that it wouldn't be a big post. So there you go. Also, I'm planning on PMing Nyxra's player tomorrow, as it's been some time since last they posted.

Man, these poor monks. They're so puny, but so devoted. (As a back-spoiler, if you'd knocked Azvernathi down to surrender and any redactors had survived, they'd've tried to kill him.)

Unviersal rule: you're facing 1 monk, you're about to get your butt kicked. You face 10 monks, you're oging to kick their butts.

So everyone's aware, last night I didn't get much sleep and was very, very sick (I may have gotten food poisoning), so I may not get many posts up today. Apologies for that.

Ugh! Food poisoning is the worst! I hope it's over quickly!

I'm feeling a bit better already, but still haven't eaten anything today, for fear of more vomit. But yes, hopefully things will be better today.

So I've been considering enforcing the "needs a hand free for somatic spells" rule more rigorously, given that I haven't been doing that at all. What are your thoughts, everyone?

It'd hinder Aisling the most, as someone with a shield and full casting capabilities, but it'd also mean that Jessi would lose 1 point of AC when she does it (because of bucklers).

OK with me. (It's why my casters use bucklers when allowed a shield.)

I tend to forget the -1 penalty to AC, but if you can remember to figure it in consistently, go for it!

I'm even more forgetful about the ACP to attacks penalty with Weapon Finesse when also employing a shield. Please subtract 1 from Jessi's last attack. I try to get a masterwork buckler ASAP in such a case, but Jessi always seems to be low on funds (and her player is just plain forgetful).

So basicly I wouldn't be able to cast in combta, right? Or would I haeve to lose the sheild completely? I'm fine either way I jsut wnat to know what the deal is :)

You'd have to put away your sword or not have your shield ready when casting, Aisling. At least for somatic spells - verbal alone would be fine (though most spells are at least partially somatic).

Nope. The chains are strewn across the walls and ceiling, rather than the floor. The redactors didn't want to hinder their own coming and going.

@GM: Checking to see if you applied Misfortune the that last attack on Jessi? I think it would also apply to a crit confirmation roll if it is considered an "attack roll"?
