Between babysitting my sister's sick cat and watching the NFL Draft, I'll probably be a bit slower in responding over the next few days.
Kintargo GM
Fair. Hope everything goes well, Jessi.
Kintargo GM
Sorry, I'll try to get posts up later tonight, but it's been a kind of gross day.
I'll move us onwards. Also, does anyone else have a care for the rebellion stuff? If not, I don't mind just following Jessi's suggestions. I know it's not exactly well-suited for the PbP stuff, so if you want, you can give me a more general sense of what you want to do and I'll decide on what actions to take. Otherwise, we can continue as we have been.
The Raven
Fifth Week of Rebellion
Week 5 Action 1: Upgrade Peddlers to tier 3. Figure the sooner we max them out the more returns we'll see from them over time.
Cost: 200 GP.
Week 5 Action 2: Earn Gold (Peddlers (T3); Red Birb)
Security Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 Multiplied by team Tier (3) = 66 Gold
+4 from our Partisan (Eagle) Wis modifier
Week 5 Action 3 (Bonus Action): Recruit Supporters
Cost: 50 GP.
Loyalty check Vs DC 15: 1d20 + 3 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 4 + 2 + 2 = 13
+3 for our Demagogue (Magpie) Cha mod, +4 for our Recruiter (Red Birb) character level, +2 from Laria’s unique bonus, +2 Strategist Bonus action (Raven).
Possible Supporters Gained: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 5) + 4 = 13
+4 from Recruiters (Red Birb) Character Level.
Subtracted 250 GP from the Raven's GP to pay for the Recruit Supporters and Merchants Upgrade.
Second week in a row we roll 2 on the recruitment die...
Kintargo GM
You also earned enough that you could pay with the funds from the earning, if you want. Otherwise, I'll just boost up the rebellion's treasury.
I'll also move us on later today.
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
I'm good with glossing over/skipping Jessibel's downtime performance to get us back to the meat of the adventure.
Kintargo GM
Oh, right. You also need to choose which of the final upgrades the merchants are going for. Merchant Lords or Black Marketers. The difference is that the former gets the special order action, while the latter gets Activate Black Market.
They're fully upgraded now.
Special Order (Merchant Lords): By relying on contacts in other cities throughout the Inner Sea region, a team of merchant lords can place a special order for a specific expensive item that costs more than Kintargo’s base value and is not currently available in the city’s shops. The cost for the item in question must be paid up front (although the actual price includes a 5% discount due to the merchant lords’ expertise at haggling), and it is delivered to Kintargo in 2d6 days. (For an additional cost of 900 gp, this delivery time can be reduced to 1 day by having the item delivered by teleportation. This additional cost is equal to the cost of two teleport spells, since the deliverer’s return trip must also be accounted for.) The GM has final say on whether or not an item is available for special order.
Activate Black Market (Black Marketeers): To activate a black market, you must attempt a DC 20 Secrecy check and spend 50 gp to smuggle goods and bribe officials. On a successful check, the Silver Ravens set up a black market for 1 week in Kintargo. During this week, the city’s base value is doubled and all rolls to determine item availability increase from 75% to 90%. Furthermore, magic items sold to the black market sell for 55% of their normal price rather than 50%. On a failed check, your Notoriety score increases by 1d6.

I've been feeling a bit off recently, but I'm checking in to see how folks are doing.
Kintargo GM
I've reached out to Aisling, so hopefully she'll show up again soon. Lemma, Raven, you guys both still swamped, I assume?
Aisling Talbot
Hi all - sorry for not posting, there's a bug going round work and I've been really sick. I'm geting better and hipefully get back to posting tomorrow.
Kintargo GM
Oof, I was afraid you might be sick. Hope you feel better soon!
Kintargo GM
So, I'm not exactly clear on who's going where. It seems like Nyxra, Jessi, and the Raven are going together, but maybe the Raven's headed over to the Opera House's vicinity?
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
My original understanding was that he wanted to speak with the River Talons (on the Bleakbridge?), but now I see that he also wants to investigate around the outskirts of Thrune's HQ. If we fully cross the Bleakbridge and have the time (1d4 hours per Gather Info attempt), Jessi would like to visit her friend Carlissa to see if her friend (or her network of contacts) might have some news on the Fushi Sisters.
All three PCs have Diplomacy modifiers of +10 or more (Nyxra's actually got the highest at +11), so the two 'helpers' could automatically earn a +2 bonus (if you allow more than one at a time). Maybe the Raven can do the main roll with the tengu, Nyxra with the transients/regulars around the opera house, and Jessibel with Carlissa.
Jessibel Diplomacy Check (Gather Information--Aid Another x2): 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 28
Hours Taken: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Kintargo GM
Sounds good to me. I'll try to get a post together later tonight, but if not tonight, then tomorrow.
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
So: Nyxra'll be interviewing folks around the opera house for leads on what? The Fuchi sisters or something else?
Yeah--it seems like the missing Fushi Sisters is our main current mission (unless we wait for the next weekly organization check to try to work it out then).
Kintargo GM
I'll get us moving later this evening, I think. I'm pretty sure Lemma's still swamped, and I hope she's alright, but... I'll let Aisling continue with the investigation in spoilers and move us on to the following day.
It is possibly worth noting that this may be riskier than doing it through the rebellion system, if only in the sense that you get more attention.
Kintargo GM
Due to computer issues, I may have to be incommunicado for a few days. Sorry about that. My monitor's going insane, and it's practically illegible at the moment. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon, but until then, my posting capacity will be limited. Sorry everyone.
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
Ugh. Hope you can get things resolved sooner rather than later (though we seem to be in a bit of a lull, so maybe the timing's not terrible after all).

Once again I'm very sorry it's taking me so long to get posts up. Both April and early May have been just overwhelming. My workload is up and we transitioned back to working in the office part time. Since I work for the state and all such changes happen at all state offices together, it was a big change with many, many meetings and emails involved. On top of that many federal rules changed at the start of May as Covid-19 policies and procedures are replaced with 2+ year old versions from before. That meant many more meetings and emails.
Meetings would sometimes run so long over their scheduled slots they would completely swallow the meetings scheduled behind them, which would then have to be rescheduled. With all this going on we also still had our regular work to get done somehow. I also had a pet die. It's been a lot.
I think I'm mostly in the clear now with work and things will be returning to normal again. I'll be catching up on gameplay over the next two or three days.
I hope I haven't been too much trouble to wait for.

My computer is fixed, so posting from me will resume tomorrow morning.
Aisling Talbot
It feels like i've run into a brikc wall with the conversation about Nox. I can't tell if its because I'm doig something wrong or if it's becuase the railroad, er sorry I mean the AP isn't set up to allow it right now.
The Raven
Yeah, I dunno if I'm missing something but it looks like Nox and the Fushi sisters are dead ends? Should we be doing something else?
We've lost a lot of posting momentum the last couple weeks. Maybe we move on to the next part of the story to get things rolling again? Check back in on Nox and the Sisters next in-game week?
Lemma Vodice
I'm a bit behind on current events here and have no idea what to do about either of those things. My feeling is Nox is simply out of the picture.
Kintargo GM
Aisling: The Asmodean is suspicious of why you think Nox was seen in the area of the Fantasmagorium (which she may or may not know of by name). She's not doing anything about it, but she is slightly suspicious. You could get a lead on Nox, but, uh, I'll just say that she's pretty well out of your reach at the moment. Consider that she's Thrune's bodyguard as much as agent, and she's just screwed up what should've been an easy operation. He is probably keeping her close by.
I will say that I agree with Raven - I'm inclined to skip a couple weeks in-game to get things moving again. Give the rebellion a bit of time to grow, to find the Fushi sisters, and so on.
Kintargo GM
Week of the 21st to the 28th of Calistril, Sixth Week of Rebellion
Upkeep Phase
Security vs. DC 15 to rescue Fushi Sisters: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 Well, you get them back!
Attrition
Loyalty DC 10: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 = 9 Uh-oh.
Supporters Lost: 2d4 + 5 ⇒ (1, 1) + 5 = 7 Well, at least it was a minimum roll.
Notoriety Max?
No
-1 from Rexus
Below Minimum Treasury?
No
Event?
58% Event is Low: 1d100 ⇒ 92
Nope!
So, I'll take it over to the IC room either late today or tomorrow - if no one puts in their choices for rebellion actions, I'm going to assume that the actions are Gather Information (about Nox), Recruit Supporters, and Earn Gold.

Sounds good to me too.
Figures the rebellion would lose people this time. Some of them were surely just hanging around so they could gawk at Vantine. Now that she's gone, so are they. :p
Lemma Vodice
I will point out that Vantine was offered a nice cushy job in a different place where all her problems with current day Kintargo don't exist, so she immediately said "Byeee!"
I think maybe I didn't make the arrangement she had clear enough. Vantine's mom doesn't actually need the help in Magnimar. She created a job with which she bought off Vantine.
Vantine is semi-aware of the truth; but hey, it's a good deal.
Kintargo GM
Recruit Supporters Loyalty vs. DC 15, Laria Bonus: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 2 = 19
Supporters Recruited: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 3) + 4 = 13
Earn Gold Security check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 x3 is 48 gp.
I also realized that you don't have anyone who can gather information except the Fushi sisters, so, uh, I guess that's not an option, 'cause they have to wait 'til next week to do any actions.
That being the case, I'm going to make Vendelfek Spread Disinformation.
Secrecy vs. DC 20: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Notoriety lost: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Alright, I'll move you on to the next week - assuming your characters are engaged in their day-to-day business and supporting the rebellion actions.
Week of the 28th of Calistril to the 6th of Pharast, Seventh Week of Rebellion
Upkeep Phase
Attrition
Loyalty DC 10: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 2 = 17
Supporters Lost: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Notoriety Max?
No
-1 from Rexus
Below Minimum Treasury?
No
Event?
52% Event is Low: 1d100 ⇒ 99
Nope, to no one's surprise.
If anyone has any input, feel free. I'm putting up the IC post to move you onwards.
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
What happened to the Fushi Sisters to cause them to go missing?
(And can Jessi resume her sparring with them during the lull in action?)
Kintargo GM
Oops. Forgot to mention that. It'll come up in the next IC post I make. :P
And sure.
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
What? Is Lemma too scary to spar with? :p
Well, I was thinking that my post might include some attempted sparring with Lemma...followed by sparring with the younger Fushis, who are closer to Jessi's skill level.
The Raven
Can't even make the Knowledge (Local) check :(
Apparently we're all secretly not from Kintargo!
Kintargo GM
It's a pretty obscure bit of knowledge.
Kintargo GM
Oof, sorry for the delay folks. Internet up and died this morning, and only just got it back. I'll try to put up a response soon.
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
This is one of those places where my player knowledge of the AP is making me bite my tongue. I'd say at this point the die has already been cast.
The Raven
I figure it's best to light it up before they get a chance to use it and I'm modestly confident in the Raven's ability to escape. He has a plaza full of people between him and the guards after all.
Let it be said, this is probably a terrible idea. I'm going to let the other players chime in on what you want to do, before I give them a chance to, uh, stop this if they want. It might be a better story if they don't, but it's up to everyone. In the future, I request that the reckless plans be left in character, and that you let everyone else know OOC so that the players can be prepared, even if the characters aren't.
In the ravens defense they are not included intentionally.
But if Aisling thinks it's a bad idea I guess he'd listen to her.
Kintargo GM
Everyone still about? Been a quiet few days, and I wanted you all to have a chance to have some input here.
The Raven
If the GM is against it and jesibel is against it we can probably just move on. The Raven will find something else to burn another day.
Kintargo GM
I've been fighting with anxiety all day, but I'll reach out to our other three players and see where they've gone tomorrow.
Kintargo GM
Yeah, I am. I reached out to our silent players, so hopefully they respond. I'll give it a few days before trying to figure out what will happen next, if anything. I don't want to decide they're gone, open up a recruitment thread, only to have them return.
I apologize for the slow-down. While I think all of us have been slowing down a bit recently, I know I've been struggling a fair bit to get posts out and haven't been pushing as hard to keep up with the 1/day thing.
