As everyone arrives at the predetermined meeting location you see an imposing, bluish-grey humanoid with a wide mouth full of pointed teeth savagely chowing down on... apples and peanut butter?
(imagine the voice of Bill Murray as Garfield)
"Ohhh. Uhhh. Hi everyone," he wipes some fruit juice off the side of his blubbery face. "Just gettin' in a late breakfast. Cleric says I need to eat more fruit. Anyone want some carrots?"
As he digs into a satchel hanging off his belt you see a variety of nuts, dried fruits and hardy vegetables packed neatly in their own individual parchment wrappings.

Having his monocle on the eye, the kobold inspects the new arrived. He listens to what the barbarian says. And compares its assertion to what he sees. No doubt. This man loves to eat. The cleric is an excuse. He would eat anyway. But the investigator doesn't tell anything about his discover. That interests nobody. Just funny.
Morning, sir. Our name is Sholmes, Kerlok Sholmes. The finest detective. You know us for sure, don't you?

![]() |

The human without armor and with a bird flying around leans on his stick and observes. He seems quieter than his new teammates. In fact it will be the first adventure he will take part on. He is obviously curious the way it will go.

![]() |

'Hey you'? That's interesting.
Someone called 'Hey you'... Why not somebody called 'nobody'? Perhaps someone will think about it one day...
For our part, the people use our full name, of course. In all simplicity of course. It would be shocking otherwise for a kobold being of our condition.

"Did someone say EAT? Oho, is it lunchtime already?" says a deep voice voice with heavy Vudran accent. And the owner of the voice clearly hasn't missed many lunchtimes, since the man is massive. That fact cannot be easily ignored, as the man's waistcloth and turban manage to hide very little, leaving all that plentiful flesh on plain sight.
"I am called Raj. I am most pleased to make your acquaintance" he says, and flashes a warm smile under his bushy moustache.

(We start tommorow but I suppose i can put the context)
You are in Aaminiut, a small fishing village in Crown of the world, a mountainous region that is a mix of Iceland and the Alps.
This adventure is outside the Society. You have recently arrived or have spent some time in Aaminiut. (find your reason)
What is remarkable about this village is that they are populated by Eurataki and Ulfen.

The Golarion wide well-known detective must have been leaded here by a clue of his investigation for sure. He just arrested a murderer in fact. That's not a joke. He never tells joke. That's not fair to tell joke.

The Varisian wizard arrived in Aaminiut to visit his sister. Why did she accept to marry Ragnar the fisherman? He still doesn't understand. But she did. And now she lives here. That's not fair to meet with the family. Living in Korsova is also easier than in this cold weather. But now he's here. So enjoy and say 'hello' to your sister!

Gayel Nord |

Ambius' brother-in-law seems to be at first a good natured man. He talks that very recently something has broke his net to eat his catch. He can repair them but he fear what would happen if this continue as he is not the only one.
U'Shaka arrived in a small trading vessel. The habitants are unconforable to see something they called a "fishman" walking amond them but some ask if U'shaka is stronger underwater or when it is raining. (I hope you know the reference.)
Kerlok and Jusin arrived here by the nature of things.
-----------
Toc! Toc! Toc!
The sound of a hammer hitting a nail can heard at the message board as one old women in her Erutaki (think about inuit) clothing looks at Ulfen man with a small amount of fat on his belly who hammers
the final nail attaching a scrolled piece of hide to the village’s notice board. It look that they are talking quietly.
Villagers and traders gather around the board to read the scroll, murmuring in concerned interest.

![]() |

Something that makes people discussing is something that is not usual. The kobold approaches as a local would do to read the scroll. He also observes the reactions nearby. What kind of emotion apply to the crowd?

![]() |

"Ah-ha, I see some action in this village." Raj notes, seeing the gathered crowd around the message board. With his berth, he easily makes his way through the crowd to take a closer look.
"A wyrm wanted?!" he bellows, stating the obvious. He turns toward the hammer-wielding man. "You want this wyrm? Why you want it?" Raj taps the poster with his finger as he speaks.
"Maybe I can get the wyrm for you. Me and these other Pathfinders here. If you are willing to pay for it. Cannot do it for free, a man must eat, you see." he adds, tapping his enormous belly and follows with a hearty laugh.
Well, he didn't ask the others' opinion before volunteering them - but being Pathfinders they should be interested in some coin and adventure. And they still have time to say no, if they're just interested in relaxed vacation.

Gayel Nord |

The hammer-wielding man looks at Raj and says "Calm down my new friend! Just read the notice and your questions will be answered.
If you are still interested, grab those pathfinders with you talk to me or Elder Seshu."
This following notice is written in Common, Ulfen, and
the local written dialect of Erutaki.
Hunters needed!
Over the past weeks, a creature some of us have come to
know as the “Whitefang Wyrm” has been spotted lurking
near our settlement, stealing fish from our nets and baskets
and leaving nothing but wreckage in its wake. We believe
the creature’s lair is somewhere on or across the ice floes of
Whitefang Bay. As this creature poses a threat to the survival
of all of Aaminiut’s residents, we have prepared a sack of
ivory and oosik carvings from the Erutaki and silver bracelets
and armbands from the Ulfen, payable to whoever ends the
creature’s attacks on our food supply. Proof of the creature’s
defeat must be presented to claim this bounty.
-Elder Seshu and Bjorn the Blade

![]() |

The wizard is planning: Well against such a creature a Ray of frost maybe unappropriated. Let's look for more fire spells. But he stays quiet and waits for the questions of others.

![]() |

The investigator reads carefully the notice. What an interesting chase in view! He has never tracked a wyrm. That could be a great experience. But for now he has to get more information on the subject. So he's hearing what people say around the notice, speaking a little bit with somebody if he feels that he can get more information from him/her.

Gayel Nord |

U'shaka searchs for fresh foods. There no farmer market... yet.
For what he learns, the Erutaki are normally normad and exchange with the trading ships are with ivory and oosik carving they take from their hunt. But Bjord and the other Ulfens wish to establish a market.
But U'shaka find a general store where they sell equipement and local food. The clerk says that because of "unfortune events" he is out of fish. But he has something fresher. Frozen fruit! You can't be fresher than this!

The investigator reads carefully the notice. What an interesting chase in view! He has never tracked a wyrm. That could be a great experience. But for now he has to get more information on the subject. So he's hearing what people say around the notice, speaking a little bit with somebody if he feels that he can get more information from him/her.
Most are actually surprised that a dragon were eating their fish! Normally, Dragons are flying enormous creatures blasting their breath anyone who has occur their wrath. Not... just stealing fishs in the middle of the night!
Kerlok realised he needs to talk to the leaders if he want to learn more.

![]() |

So he goes to continue his investigation by talking to the leaders who should be both names standing at the end of the notice.

![]() |

"Frozen fruit! Great for teething."
When he heads back outside and hears the locals complaining about a dragon on the loose, U'Shake swallows hard.
These people are so innocent. I wonder if a bunch of us could get together to scare this dragon away from here?
I guess I'm having trouble visualizing this. If we're not here as Pathfinders... Do we know each other? How do we band together for the mission?

Gayel Nord |

That is a problem, U'shaka. Always the same problem.
Kerlok talks to the leaders, Sechu and Bjorn.
They have little to offer beyond the details already described on the bounty, though Bjorn notes that a witness described the wyrm as having a fin running down its spine, while Seshu notes that it couldn’t have been much larger than the harbor seals swimming nearby.
Korok have seen those seals and they are medium creature.
Seshu looks at Korok and says. " I know you are confident to track this dragon and i don't doubt it. But you shouldn't do an hunt alone. Other seems interested into this. I will suggest that you seek them."
"You will also need transport,"Bjorn continues. " You are quite in luck! I have dogs and sleighs for your use! 5 silver piece for three person!"
Seshu sighs hearing this.
"So that why you said we should do it one hour later."

![]() |

The investigator rises an eyebrow: What were you supposed to do an hour later, please? If you want I resolve this wyrm's mystery you must tell me everything you know.

![]() |

"Attacks on food supply!? How impudent! We must hunt down this creature - food must be secured!"
The description of the wyrm doesn't sound so bad. However, searching it in icy waters isn't so tempting for someone more used to warmer climate.

Gayel Nord |

Ambius when talking to the crowd doesn't know much that Kerlok know excerpt that the trail that his wyrm can walk on the ground.
Seshu responds to Kerlok "Preparing the dogs takes more then 5 minutes. Bjorn used the additional hour he asked for to prepare the sleighs and do at the same tine a quick deal!"
Bjorn laughs. That why i am an entrepreneur! Those volonteers may need if they want it, so why not help them and make a profit at the same time?

![]() |

The kobold answers simply: Thank you for your offer, brave man. I will try to find others adventurers to help you. We probably come back later.[/ooc]
Then he goes near the notice and asks loudly: [b]Who will come with me to track this wyrm in its lair ?

Gayel Nord |

All of you, (even U'shaka!) realise that from the descriptions that it’s likely not a true dragon, but rather a drake or tatzlwyrm—these smaller cousins to dragons lack some of their more powerful cousins’ most terrifying abilities.

![]() |

The kobold talks to the party he has constituted right now.
Well, we have to know where this monster has been seen. And have more precision to his appearance. The location is but the principle what failed us for now. So let's interrogate the crowd and both leaders about this.

Gayel Nord |

Kerlok, you have interrogate so much the crowd that may have nightmare tonight about you and your questions.
Alas, there no new information. To continue your investigation, you need to go in the "scène de crime" The whitefang bay and find some other clues.
(Walking or using the sleighs? Your choice.)

![]() |

On last question: is the Whitefang bay far away from here?
If that's the case it will be an opportunity to rent the sleighs. If it's nearer it not so much use of it.

![]() |

The wizard is happy to learn that if needed they will get some sleighs. But the question is pertinent. Is the bay far away or not? He tries to listen to the people in the street without asking them directly.
Society:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Gayel Nord |

Ambius realises very easily that the bay is... here. Aaminiut is a fishing village that fish.. on the bay. In fact in his map, (slide 3) he sees as large the bay is. He will some time to look around and find the lair of the creature.
(I will continue tommorrow.)

![]() |

"I hope the dogs are very strong, if they are going to pull me, ha!" Raj laughs heartily.
Just how big is the bay? It's hard to tell from the map, since there's no scale."

Gayel Nord |

The scenario doesn't say. But it should be at least an impressive size
So the Hunt begin! The sleigh flows on snow as you look for trace of the Whitefang Wyrm.
Along the way, you see your fair share of otters and mink with also the occasionnal Chickadee.
The wind is brisking as it gives your skin a reddish hale. (those with scale you may feel a little sleepy)
Soon, you see a patch of destroyed ice that has destroyed net and a trail of a creature with the size of a local seal that go inside the frigid ice of the bay. So you enter the bay and follow the trail!
(rolling dice)
After one hour, Kerlok remarks that the wyrm is crafty. He has created a false trail for possible intruders. U'shaka with patience find the real trail. Who knows what would have happen if you had follow the false trail!

![]() |

"A talking wyrm? Why not, I imagine bigger wyrms talk, too - like dragons."
Raj's cheecks and nose are red from the cold wind, but he is very glad of the fur cloak he bought in Absalom.
"If you are sure this is the right trail, U'shaka, best follow it."

![]() |

Interesting. Very interesting indeed.
The investigator takes one minute to examine the detail of the tracks let by the monster.
Pursue a lead

Gayel Nord |

The sleigh ride finishes at the extremity north in a Icy cavern. The trail guide you inside. It is still sunny and with the "albedo" effect, there is no darkness.
Inside, you see a slithery serpent with clawed arms, roughly the size of a pony or large dog eating what look like fish.
When you enter, it stops eating and it is looking at you. (you can position yourself and says your exploration tactic.)
