Whoever takes the dagger (might be Viatrix) owes the pot 11 gp. If anyone wants the Cloak, imo they get it (same with any future expensive magic items that make up most of a single loot tally) and we recalculate (but be wary of monopolizing the split?), but since it's a filthy Kingsmen uniform idk why anyone would want it

I agree, maybe keep a tally of the number of expeincive items each person has taken not like to the point where if you get 2 ahead you’re not allowed to take any but just the idea of keeping an ion it to make sure that it’s not horribly uneven.

once we get into the thick of the adventure, I think we should try to democratize who gets what the best we can, so if our characters were thinking we'd be facing whatever next, the cloak should go to whomever's got the worst saves, I trust the GM to give us enough gear to go around in a balanced manner, and we all figure it out from there.
That said, Malik's currently got no interest in the silver dagger, as he's got arcane strike to help with wacky damage reduction monsters, and he sees the cloak as a bargaining chip for the group should the easterners ever arrive. :D thinking long game there :D

I agree, maybe keep a tally of the number of expeincive items each person has taken not like to the point where if you get 2 ahead you’re not allowed to take any but just the idea of keeping an ion it to make sure that it’s not horribly uneven.
Unless you buy out the item, imo (which here is impossible)
If we're holding onto the cloak for a time, remove 100 gold from the total

Hey sorry for the radio silence; I've been very sick this week and mortified at the possibility of it being COVID (especially with me visiting family I would hate to transmit it to them), so in my anxiety I let things slip. I got tested today and hope to have the results tomorrow.

Just a side note, how does a good-aligned person justify saying they don't care whether the town dies and actively manipulating innocents through blackmail like this? I get that there are huge differences between lawful and chaotic, but not caring about people's lives when they are not enemies... that doesn't seem good at all. If I were the commander's DM, I'd move him at LEAST to neutral.
Or, are we saying that these two good-aligned kingdoms are just that in name, and they go ahead and hire evil people to fight their wars?

The Kingdoms are general good aligned, but that means that their armies/citizenry/ect are a mix of good and neutral and a very small number of evil.
War, of course, involves a great number of casualties and collateral damage regardless of how it is waged.
Khaleros is still radio silence; I PMed him again, but we will have to decide whether you want to continue as 4 or add another if he doesn't respond.

So, I don't think we talked about/established how we were doing XP/leveling for this game yet-
I think I am going to go with milestone leveling rather than strict XP count, and with that in mind, this is the proper place to level to 2nd level.

Been giving it some thought. And I'm in the process of putting together a Hill Dwarf Ghost Rider Cavalier.
This is what the character looks like
To avoid going full-blown cheese, he won't have a lance, and instead will have an earthbreaker. It matches the image and feels more dwarven. Plus, while RAW a lance can be used outside the charge, the image seems goofy.
As for why Ghost Rider? For a summonable mount that doesn't need any upkeep and can't die, of course. Anyways, this will take some time to stat it all up. But I'll do it as soon as I can.

I think one more would be good, but I don't know who else to ask offhand. It's possible that someone else from that same game would want to that just hasn't seen the post yet, but if anyone else has another possibility, that would be cool too. :)

I think that I have the crunch just about ready. The character has come together pretty well...he doesn't hit as hard by himself as what I'm used to, but the mount more than makes up for it. Together they can either cycle charge or hold the line. Quite happy with that.
Dwarf: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Hammer: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13
Mount Headbutt: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Mount Hoof 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Mount Hoof 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Now, for character building. He's still quite fuzzy in that regard. Are there any knightly orders that he could be a part of?

To be honest, the phantom is somewhat confusing. I went into it thinking it was just a normal mount. But I think that I've finally got it down...which is a good thing to do before joining the gameplay thread.
