Summary of earlier kobold battle.
Found first miners being attacked by undead. They told us more miners were taken away by Kobolds before the undead showed up.
We followed and found them holding people prisoner.
We slew the kobolds that looked to be about to murder the prisoners in a ritual. We allowed the remaining kobolds to flee.
I am guessing this is connected to the battle they are asking about.

I did let you know it could be Diplomacy, Bluff or Intimidate that you used. If I remember right, it's likely your Intimidate would have still failed with that roll. Also, there's no advantage between succeeding on enough of the checks vs. succeeding on ALL of the checks and even the consequences of failing EVERY check aren't that catastrophic.
Yes Guy, that is the fight they are referring too. They obviously have a different point of view on the event then your party would. Pointing out that they were planning on killing the prisoners would be a logical reason to use Intimidate for this check.

So I think we are waiting for two things:
1. Toral to rephrase his answer to make it more of an answer and apologetic so he can use diplomacy
2. Someone to step up with Intimidate to answer if we were the ones who killed those kobolds two weeks ago.
Toral's was the second check. The scenario states that the PC being addressed can use Diplomacy if their response is apologetic. To be clear, what they want addressed is whether the party is allied with Sharrowsmith, who they are alleging caused a cave-in that killed many of their people. That hasn't been addressed by the party, but I would still allow Toral to say something that make it a Diplomacy check instead of a Bluff.
I have now aided twice. I will most likely use my last Aid attempt on the Intimidate check by whomever does it.

Mostly I care that what's being said makes sense for the roll you're using and I noticed that no one actually answered their question. It wasn't that Toral wasn't apologetic enough, it's that the crux of their accusation was being ignored. I was roleplaying them as getting frustrated for that reason. Laafdahni's last post is enough to move on with a success.
Being evasive or apolgetic are always options. It depends on what you want to say. Your character doesn't have to actually feel apologetic to use Diplomacy, but what they say to the kobolds should be reasonably construed as an apology for the "attack". And off hand I can think of at least one other skill I'd accept. I'm just saying, considering that they were going to sacrifice the miners, I can see why a character would *want* to use Intimidate on this one.

Is it alright if I move the guardian off the platform? I'm thinking of moving it off to where the pillars are since no one is likely to be in that area.

![]() |

Just going to point out that Guy is forced to withdraw next round if he isn’t down and dying.

![]() |

Yeah, these guys are pretty nasty if they can get into melee.
BTW, I really love this villain. I think someone passed the check to know about Zaril, but basically he was a gentleman explorer who went native after getting captured by the tribe. Except in his case, going native meant embracing cannibalism, human sacrifice and demon worship. Kind of a fantasy Colonel Kurtz.

Guy has it.
Who is supposed to act now?
Never mind, now there are names in bold.

![]() |

Big thank you to Guy. Without your inspire I wouldn't do any damage. ;-)

![]() |

Sort of my job as the bard, buffs for everyone!
Thank you.

![]() |

I'm working on the chronicle sheets now. If you have a day job, can you roll for it and add it to the spreadsheet? Or just add it if you already did roll for it.

![]() |

Perform: Sing: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
I assume you mean Slide 2 when you say spreadsheet.

![]() |

Craft (Alchemy): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

![]() |

I have everyone's chronicle, except for Bask and Toral. I just need you to confirm whether you have a day job or not.

![]() |

Profession merchant : 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25
Profession merchant, GM reroll : 1d20 + 2 + 18 ⇒ (11) + 2 + 18 = 31

![]() |

Bask doesn't have a day job. Thanks for running!
For the purposes of Bask's faction card was Zaril a divine spellcaster of an evil deity whose CR was at least 5?

![]() |

My Chronicle looks good. Thanks a ton for running this trilogy for us, GM Badblood. I really enjoy getting my characters deeper into a story than one scenario allows. It was a pleasure playing with everyone!

![]() |

Thanks for running this series!
Let me know if you have any that you want to play. I can see about setting them up for you.

![]() |

I mean I would love to play this series...I think this is my third time running it. Maybe fourth. Kidding aside, I have a lot of first edition scenarios I need to play. I haven't done Frostfur Captives for example; and I've heard that's a classic.
Sorry for the dealy, Bask and Toral, but I will get your chronicles out tonight.

![]() |

Oh and Bask, Zaril was a level 1 fighter/level 6 Inquisitor and he worships a demon lord. I'll have to look up the name of the deity when I finish your chronicle later. Its an obscure one. But yes, he definitely qualifies for that faction goal.

I'm full on GMing through Outpost, but after Outpost, I would be open to taking requests for PFS1.
I do have a level-related barrier, though. I'm still a little hesitant to running things up in the 8-9 and 10-11 subtiers, but I'll be open to high tier 3-7s and low tier 7-11s. My highest level character is 8 now and I've got a second character that's about to level 7, so I'll hopefully be gaining high-level experience twice as fast from this point forward, and it won't be a barrier too much longer.

![]() |

I too don't mind GMing after Outpost but keeping bandwidth low till then.

![]() |

Okay, I added Toral and Bask's chronicles to the folder.
...................
Yes, Outpost. I need to check that out. I don't even know when the next one is starting.

Thank you everybody for sticking it out! This was a long one but its also one of my favorite ones. Sharrowsmith turning out to be dead the whole time is kind of a bummer and I don't really think finding a MacGuffin is a very satisfying pay off but I like the journey that you take to get there. I think the real pay off is actually the murals and discovering how this tribe of dwarves built a community, faced destruction due to a plague and eventually dispersed and were absorbed into the other dwarven tribes living in the jungle. And how even though the Ashkurhall dwarves are long gone, their grippli allies and this immortal golden gargoyle still remember them.
I also really like is how distinct and unique the writers made each of the three Aspis Consortium villains that you have to deal with. I think it makes it more a more satisfying accomplishment when you crush them into the ground. I'm a little bummed that no one used the Aspis slaying sword on this play through, but you guys really didn't need it.

![]() |

They made it a longsword. Had they made it a finesse weapon, I would have thought about it.
I do have characters that would use the longsword, but I think almost all of them have already leveled out of tier for this.
This was a fun series of adventures and I'm really glad to have played through it.
Thanks GM Badblood and all the players! It really was a good group.

![]() |

Thanks for everything! That was a great run!!!

![]() |

Yeah, if she was a melee fighter she would have definitely made use of it. r melt it down into bullets.
It was a pleasure! See yall around the boards for sure.

![]() |

Chronicle looks good thanks. Bask could have used the longsword and it would have been better than his existing weapon, but he only gets non-lethal for free with scimitars, and he's dedicated to avoiding killing where possible.

There were multiple points in this series where our team's builds didn't mesh well with what the game put in our path, but we always found some way around it. I like the story of this trilogy, as well. Not every mission has to have a neat, happy ending. This series has given Laafdahni ample opportunity for character development. I've enjoyed playing with all of you. See you around!
