GM Badblood's Scions of the Sky Key - Part III - The Golden Guardian (Inactive)

Game Master Lance K

This thread will be used for the Scions of the Sky Key series, which is a 1st Edition Pathfinder scenario series which consists of three parts that are meant to be played in order. This will be a Pathfinder Society game, which means that the players need to follow PFS rules regarding character building and will receive a chronicle sheet after completing each part.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I will be recruiting an additional four players for this three part Pathfinder 1st edition series. This will be a Pathfinder Society game and you will receive chronicles for playing.

I will arbitrarily chose which four players I accept out of whoever requests. I say arbitrary because I reserve the right to reject an applicant for any reason; but I do have a few criteria that I am looking for.

1)I want players who expect to play all three parts.
2)I want reasonable party balance, including having players close to each other in level and having enough diversity to survive the encounters.
3)I'm more likely to pick you if I get the impression you would be a fun player to have. Its a three parter so I'd like us to get along.
4) All things being equal, I will select people first come first serve

There is a fifth player who already has a seat at the table. I think he's going to play a level 3 inquisitor archer.

I am limiting it five because I think this is a good number for most PFS scenarios but also I may be open to letting someone who is only missing one of these scenarios a chance to jump in, as I feel for players in this boat.

In regards to expectations, I think shooting for a post a day is a good goal but I'm not too strict about holding you to that most of the time. I care more about frequent posting when it comes to combat. I like to keep things moving along, so if its your turn I will "bot" you after 24 hours. If you have botting instructions in your character sheet will follow those but if you don't I try my hardest to do something consistent with your characters strengths and conservative in regards to your resources. For example, I may use a wand I've seen your character spam but I won't use up your scroll of fireball.

When you post, no need to include your PFS number. I will have a spreadsheet in the Google slides for you to fill out. But feel free to provide some details about the character you want to use!

I would be interested in playing.

I have three potential characters in tier that would not have to slow track. I have other characters, but since some of those have more than 12 xp I would need to slow track in order to keep them in tier for the third part.

The characters I have are:

Cith, 1st level NG Catfolk Mesmerist, Silver Crusade

Guido Falkes, 5th level CG Kitsune Bard (Flame Dancer), Grand Lodge

Naseem, 2nd level NG sylph alchemist (trapbreaker), Silver Crusade

I have neither played nor GMed this series.

Silver Crusade

I have two characters available.

Professor Masaendri is a level 1 arcanist (old female elf). Formerly a professor who was bored out of her mind, she is now seeking a life of adventure to break out of her doldrums. She may be on her way to becoming an adrenaline junky.

Laafdahni Riverrun is a level 3 elemental sorcerer (female undine). I haven't played her often, as she was in a series of very slow games with the same set of people. She prefers to work with the same folks for an extended period of time, as personal relationships were something she didn't have the luxury of having when she was growing up.

I would like to play, thank you for offering to run! I haven't played or run this series, and I do like the chance to do multi-parters with the same group.

As they're season 6 scenarios witb "Sky Key" in the title, is there much technology in them? I have Artura a level 3 Android Gen-chemist alchemist who's interested in technology I could bring, or Bask, a level 4 half-orc devout Sarenite Hunter and his lion companion Salim

The Concordance

Soleil Flambeaux, level 1 Ifrit Unchained Summoner with her ancestor Eidolon, Magmara. Magmara is the literal great-great-great aunt of Soleil, but Soleil insists on referring to her as her sister. Soleil is impulsive and flighty and Magmara sees it as her responsibility to keep the youngster safe, but she does find her rather amusing. (I have a separate profile I use for Magmara)

I mainly use the duo as a melee tandem, though Soleil has some limited offensive spell power and Magmara can cast burning hands once per day (because she gets all of the base traits for an Ifrit).

As a player, I am a huge fan of the roleplay aspect of the game and I check the forums daily and sometimes post multiple times in a day if it's relevant and beneficial to moving the plotline of character development along.

And yes, I would be on board for all three.

Sovereign Court

Tom G, that is a good question. I don't want to spoil too much, but I can say no, futuristic technology is not a major part of these adventures. Jungle exploration is a pretty big theme, as all three parts are set on the Garund subcontinent (mostly Saragava I believe).

Hi GM,

I'd like to bring Jomal for the game. He's a level 2 Nagaji scaled fist monk. I do have other possibilities as well and would love to get into a longer-running "campaign" of sorts. I have other characters as well around level 3, so if he doesn't work, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks!

Here's Uoralveren, the elven twilight speaker skald. Just back from Master of the Fallen Fortress as well. He's quite new to the Pathfinders and Absalom, living most of his life sheltered in the Crown of the World.

Sinaryn is a level 3 Spellslinger/Myrmidarch who loves putting the Apsis Consortium to task. Damage dealer via spells and a gun. Recently returned from a mission in the Impossible Kingdom. Would be up for all of them. She is an Undine and a gruff captain of a merchant vessel. Always in good spirits though.

(Also I am Krall from Kobold game.)

Hah! Gareleth and Uoralveren. Nice to see you guys around :)

Sovereign Court

Oooooohhhhh...this is a really tough choice. I know some of you already but everyone seems like they'd be fun to play with. So the choice comes down to picking people who have characters close in level and who has options that would make a balanced party. I'm sorry to those that were excluded. The list of players is as follows:

Sinaryn -3
Guido Falks -5
Bask -4
Laafdahni Riverrun -3
Bocke Reed - 3

I calcluated an APL of 3.6, which will put us into the high tier. Numerically, it should be a slightly difficult game, but I think you guys will be up to the challenge.

RECRUITMENT CLOSED!!!

Silver Crusade

Hello GM,
I have already done the first part but should anybody have to stop after the first part then I would very much like to jump in.

Thanks!

Grand Lodge

So is it alright to dot and delete at this point?

Sovereign Court

Of course. And fill in the spreadsheet in the slides when you have time.
