I have a potion of restoration that can help with one lot of drain.
My magic weapon boon / spell is likely the only really relevant one for combat, most of my others are for skill checks and such.
Actually checking.. it is lessor restoration, and as it is drain not damage, that won't help.

In which case I'll move back to the top rather than staying within touch distance.

![]() |

I'm probably mixing up my editions here--I thought that using a natural weapon or an unarmed attack on a wraith or shadow subjected the attacker to the effects of the target's touch attack every time they hit.

![]() |

If that is the case, Alaric would need someone to tell him that.

![]() |

I guess I need to make a handle animal check, or Shredder runs away, anyway.

![]() |

I don't remember that one, but I can't think of any adjacent games with the rule either. I'll look it up further and post when I get back from work. Quick estimate tells me Green is still up.

![]() |

The wraiths' Unnatural Presence ability necessitates it anyway, I forgot to mention that.

![]() |

Almost there, guys... Finish off the blue one at least... then we can rip the red one to incorporeal shreds!
We have this!
The power of duo-dinos :D

In cases where the skill restricts who can achieve certain results, such as trying to open a lock using Disable Device, you can’t aid another to grant a bonus to a task that your character couldn’t achieve alone. The GM might impose further restrictions to aiding another on a case-by-case basis as well.
Perhaps this is open to an interpretation I don't get, but I read this as if you cannot succeed, you cannot help.

![]() |

I interpret that as forbidding use of Aid Another by someone untrained in a skill that can only be used by someone who's trained in it. Certainly I've never seen anyone barred from Aid Another on Diplomacy checks when the DC is higher than the PC could achieve on their own. Frex, Tere has a +3 (trained) in Diplomacy. Even though he couldn't improve the attitude of a hostile NPC, he's been able to help someone else with a higher bonus.

![]() |

I think that rule pertains to trained-only skills and the like. You couldn't aid any such skill check unless you were trained in it. Your idea sounds right per the wording, but I feel like I would've heard of it sooner, what with all the daisy-chaining of aid another I've seen in PFS.

Two Blades, are you there? I'd rather not bot anyone in effectively the final encounter and we're used to slow anyway. But I can if you need me to, of course.

![]() |

It looks like Wrig's player hasn't posted anything since last week Monday. Do any of you know them off the boards?

![]() |

Nor I. I've sent him a PM. I'm not entirely certain of what to do while botting him, but I won't let that or my usual hesitance to do so get in the way; it's been long enough. I'll do that sometime tomorrow if he hasn't responded.

![]() |

I'm off for a short trip, back on the weekend.
Khellek will just continue to inspire, heal folk who need it, offer words of wisdom and if all else fails, try shooting Bessie.

![]() |

And, barring any closing roleplay, that's the scenario. I'll start working on Chronicles and reporting shortly. My apologies for the slow pace, a lot of games across the site have been dragging but I definitely dropped the ball a little here. Still, I hope everyone had some fun!

![]() |

Yes, many thanks for running them both back to back. Makes the story flow much better.

![]() |

I did, but I also got to be the enormous nigh-to-invulnerable killer construct. As for the pace, that's what can happen when you overlap with a Game Day. Since I had foolishly signed up for both specials, having this one slow down was fine with me.
Thanks for running!

![]() |

Yes, thank you GM, that was nice. I always appreciate the chance to play Alaric... especially when Shredder can meet his old friends Khellek and Tere!

![]() |

Good to work with young Khellek, Alaric, and Shredder, too.
Day job roll-Perform (Dance): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Shall we all pitch in for any restoration spells needed?

![]() |

Oh yes. We need to do that. Drain is nasty.
Unless our friendly NPC whose bacon we saved, thanks us with a restoration of her own.

![]() |

Don't worry about it for me. Alaric will just spend 4 PP to get himself and Shredder restored.
Not using my PP for much, as there isn't as much to spend them on in core!

![]() |

Ēoswulf has 3 constitution damage.
Lesser restoration costs just 60gp. I can just pay for it myself.
lesser restoration: 1d4 ⇒ 4

![]() |

profession, merchant: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

![]() |

I have a lesser restoration potion that goes puff at the end of the adventure.
Also a reminder I am SLOW advancement.
day job: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Doesn't look like I used by reroll so I'll take ten on that with GM star bonus
reroll take ten, 4 stars: 10 + 11 + 4 = 25 50gp

![]() |

Yes, Tere's right. If anyone wants, I can add your preferred method of removing the drain to your sheets. They're a tad delayed anyway, as I'm nearly off to work.

![]() |

PLease do add this to my chronicle

![]() |

Hmm, so it is 280 gp instead of 60gp, but there is no roll.
In that case I would accept contributions from the party to help me pay for it :p
Not going to use PP for this.

![]() |

I'm willing to pip in for some restoration casts.
Profession (Barrister): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Yeah, I'll use my reroll.
Profession (barrister) with GM stars: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 4 = 15
I suppose that counts as a success.

![]() |

Happy to chip in for a share of the restorations.

![]() |

The game is reported! Chronicles are done, I've put down each of you as splitting the Restoration costs. I'm very tired, though; I promise to re-convert them to PDFs and put up the link in the morning.

![]() |

There we go, this should do it. Let me know if anything is off.

![]() |

Looks good, and thanks again for running! Incidentally, is there a typo in the scenario name? It's listed as Part 1.

![]() |

That's two restorations split 6 ways? That works for me. Thanks GM!

![]() |

Looks good, and thanks again for running! Incidentally, is there a typo in the scenario name? It's listed as Part 1.
Yup. That's been there for a LONG time. :D

![]() |

Huh, I never noticed that one! I'll close this down within a few days.
