Aragelda hits the yellow spider, but does not finish it off. Edjarha, however hits the black spider, causing it to explode in a a shower of chitin and goo!

Yellow then attacks Aragelda.

Davian has had enough of the webs as he concentrates trying once more to feel that powerful surge of fire in his chest. It takes a moment but he feels it as scorching rays of fire leap out from his hands into three of the spiders.

Edjarha wheels around, striking the spider between the eyes? Which eyes? All of them! The spider explodes in a shower of ichor and goo!

Unfortunately, both he and Davian have gotten themselves stuck in the webs!

Aragelda smashes her warhammer into red, cracking some chitin, but it does not go down.

With this, the red spider collapses to the ground without hurting Aragelda.

Retconning Aragelda's turn to move and attack twice

While Edjarha misses the final spider twice, Aragelda's second aattach lands squarely on its head (even when I take the -5 for MAP into consideration), and it goes down!

Combat over, and no fort save needed for Aragelda.

Using his dagger Davian cuts himself free from the mass of webs, rushing back over to the humanoid filled web-sacks. "Some might just yet be alive." He slits them open.

Davian starts cutting the human-sized lumps free, to find that they are almost all filled with rot and decay when punctured. However, on falls open with what appears to be a recently deceased human adventurer, whose body is completely desiccated. However, when he tries to remove the body, a scimitar falls to the ground with a clang. It appears untouched by rust or decay.

Davian feels a pain in his gut as the man was found dead. Maybe if we only arrived a couple days sooner. He thinks to himself. He gently lays the body on the floor before taking a look at the blade.

Detect Magic.

The blade is definitely magical. Davian takes some time to try and determine what sort of magic it is, and he learns that it is a scimitar of speed. This is a +1 striking scimitar, and once per day you can command it to grant you haste (as the spell) for 1 minute. This takes two actions and has the interact trait.

Aragelda prays over each of the bodies.

Having searched everything, the party thinks about where they are going to go next!

Aragelda treats her wounds before moving on.

Unable to do much, she then works on Gideon's injuries.

Then, she goes back to her own.

Once everyone is back in top fighting form, Aragelda suggests a path onward. #2

Davian nods. "Fifty-fifty shot on being right." He smiles gently with a bit of worry crossing his face. "Though if we do end up getting poisoned we are a ways away from town. We should be careful."

Edjarha was hurt, but not Aragelda, as it went down before it cold bite her. We'll apply the healing to him. everyone is healthy.

Aragelda looks forward to the next room as the others follow behind her.

The gloom and tunnels snaking away from each end of this open cavern make it seem like merely a corridor rather than a proper chamber. Thick sheets of spiderwebs hang from the northern wall.

"So, ugh, who wants to go into the spider webs first?" He thinks about raising a torch to them but isn't sure how far and wide the flames would spread. The smoke alone could smother them out of the cave.

Gideon shakes his head "I'll write us a nice little ditty about what's on the other side though."

Nothing much seems to happen as the party stands there, looking into the room. Nothing jumps out to attack!

"Just so you all know, I'm going to write about this part being extra heroic!"

Gideon says as he strides boldly forward into the next room, going first for once.

Edjarha follows closely behind Gideon, ready to cower behind defend the gnome should anything attack.

You move in and search the place, but do not notice anything other than webbing in the cavern.

Davian continues to push through the thick sheets of webbing. "Looks like the coast is clear."

"Let's keep moving, then."

Aragelda pulls strands of webbing from her hair.

The party continues forward.

A massive throne constructed of old bones and broken furniture tied together with ropes and chains and draped with moth-eaten velvet is the overwhelming centerpiece of this wide-open cave. Arrayed in concentric circles around the throne are the skeletal corpses of small, oblong-skulled humanoids—each posed with their head inclined reverently toward the throne’s seat.

Moving around the room is an industrious but filthy goblin, who climbs up onto the throne of refuse. “Mongrel cave-things! You dare enter Ralldar’s kingdom? Bestow upon your god proper tribute, or be consumed by misery and death!”

The throne is 10' high. The drop off is also 10', and will take a DC10 athletics check to climb down safely. The ceiling is 20' over the main floor of the cavern

"Hello. We were simply exploring these tunnels. Are you connected with the Brumblebrashers?"

Gideon scrambles to respond "As is tradition in my profession I would like to offer you a story as tribute, might we entertain your ears rather than add our humble coppers to your horde."

Ralldar points at Aragelda's hammer. "No stories. Rallgar is goblin god, andr demands your pretty hammer as tribute!"

Aragelda seems annoyed, but still wants to avoid fighting.

"I worship the dwarven gods, but we would be happy to be friends with you."

"Come down. Give gifts. Then friends."

"Is there really a god to the goblins? Are you like the living God?" Davian had never heard of such a thing.

Recall Knowledge, Ancestral Memories if he doesn't have the correct skill.

"Of course there is a god to the goblins! It is me! Come down and pay homage!"
