Aragelda narrows her eyes.
"How dare you think you have the right to disturb their eternal rest. You do not own their souls. We will stop you by whatever means necessary."
"They 'served' you in life? Served you doing what?"

Edjarha reacts quickly, darting between the skeletons and to the far side of Voz, dropping into his stance as he moves to cut off her escape before lashing out at her with two quick kicks.

Edjarha misses with his first strike, but lands his second. She does not look please with him.
The yellow skeleton moves to Edjarha, and slashes with his longsword. It lands a nasty cut to Edjarha's side before it raises its shield in defense.

The blue skeleton moves up to Aragelda and attacks with a rusty scimitar!
Voz then casts a spell and reaches out to touch Edjarha! Unfortunately for her, the skeleton knocks her hand wide, and the spell attack misses. She then moves back away from the elf.

Voz then casts a spell, and suddenly it appears that there are four of her! She then casts a protective spell.

Aragelda helps heal Edjarha's wounds caused by Voz's spell.
She then moves in next to Voz.
Gideon concentrates on his book
before following up with an electric arc.

"If you kill me, I will only come back stronger!"
Her dagger glows as she casts her spell, once again pulling Edjarha's life energy to herself!
She then stabs Edjarha with her dagger!

"Ugh." Edjarha grunts in pain as Voz's spell drains more of his life force. Still, he doesn't let that stop him from continuing his assault, now that her magical protection is gone.
Aragelda heals up Edjarha, then swings at Voz.

While Edjarha barely avoids having his life force completely drained out, he return the strike by catching Voz under the chin with his wheeling dragon tail strike. He hears a disturbing crunching sound as her neck snaps back and she collapses to the floor.
On Voz's person, you find:

The skeletons had little of value, save a rusted out scimitar, and rapidly decaying longsword, and a now broken wooden shield.
In addition to her gear, you find a knapsack containing journals and papers. You find the journal to be in a language you do not understand.
Davian quickly kicks her dagger away from Voz as he kneels down to check her for signs of life. He closes his eyes as he feels none. "Dammit Voz. Why? And what do you think she meant by coming back stronger?"
Aragelda places a hand on Davian's shoulder to comfort him. [b]"She made other departed souls rise up in undeath. Could she have done something to herself in advance? Or maybe there's someone else involved? Either way, it would probably be best to bring her body back to town."[b/]
"If she did do something to make herself a threat even in death, is it really safe to bring her back to town?"
Gideon tries holding the journal upside down.
"No luck here, maybe one of you can try magicing the words to make sense tomorrow?"

With only Edjarha having been wounded in the fight, and now partially healed, the party ponders their choices. There is the notebook that they cannot translate, and a dark, foreboding tunnel that goes deeper into the the cave complex.
"Well, we could always burn the body. The flames ensure that she can't rise again. I can say a few prayers."
Aragelda works on Edjarha's wounds.
Aragelda peers into the tunnel.
"Should we keep going? Do you think there is more to see here?"
Gideon responds nervously "We should probably at least check..."

You recall Balka (the scary spider person) talking about “unpleasant spiders” who live deeper in the caves and seem to be under the influence of a “strange spider lady”.
That in mind, the party starts walking down the corridor. After about an hour, you've probably gone a couple of miles through winding tunnels and twisting corridors. Along the way, you find caverns containing a mix of dead spiders and centipedes mixed up with shattered skeletons and rusty, broken swords.
Still, the main tunnel continues forward, and there are still occasional signs there have been people or things moving through here recently.
Gideon looks nervously at his allies "We're pretty deep, anything down this far seems unlikely to be a bother... maybe turn around now?"
"You guys think that strange spider lady was Voz somehow?" davian questions it all as he feels through the darkness, getting twitchy with each sound that echoes in the cavern. He shuffles through the remains. "Her spare pieces perhaps?"
"Or someone Voz was vying with for something? This looks like undead fighting bugs, to me."

As the team contemplates, Davian notices something interesting. Buried among the bodies is a shattered dogslicer, with the markings of the Bumblebrashers!
Aragelda then notices some goblin-sized footprints that appear to be running towards you from deeper in the tunnel. These appear to be at least a few weeks old, however.
"I guess the goblins were here at some point. Let's continue on, at least for a while."
"We already kind of figured that since they were chased out from below ground by monsters." Davian looks over the prints. "Let's keep moving."

The team moves forward, spurred on by the idea that at least some goblins have come out from this passage. After another couple of hours trudging through the caves you make your way to what seems to be a more interesting location.
Although the tunnel opens wide into a sprawling cavern here, it seems even more claustrophobic, for viscous spiderwebs crisscross nearly every inch of the place. Along the northern wall, several human-sized lumps in the webs are thickly wrapped in silk webbing, while the entire floor is covered in sticky goop.
Davian draws his dagger. "We should free them, someone might still be alive." He carefully slits the websacs open."[/b]
Edjarha moves up with Davian, not wanting him to approach alone.

As Davian gets close, he realizes just how sticky the spider webs are!
As this happens, Edjarha notices six large spiders dropping from the ceiling!

Davian's arm gets caught in the webs. He yelps, but the more he struggles the more webs he gets on him. "Uh oh!"
Edjarha starts to dash towards Aragelda, to join her in the fight. Seeing Davian struggle to get free, however, he changes direction and leaps at the spider nearest the stuck sorcerer.
